As a grieving momma whom lost my youngest son (28 yrs old) two years ago to suicide I want to thank you for this video. My son was always the kindness, funniest, giving child so when the depression hit him he was afraid for so many reasons to admit he needed help. There is so much stigma etc around mental health and it should not be this way. Thank you so much for bringing awareness to suicide and mental health with the upcoming concert. Love to you both ❤️
Finding God is the answer. He is able to change our lives and will be the Rock for us to anchor too. Through Him we can have peace and confidence. He can shut down those negative thoughts and reading His Word can help you get through. Knowing He gave His Son for me makes me want to thank Him through my life and by showing others what He can do for them.

my son who is now a Senior experience several suicides in his friend and social group during his freshman/sophpomore year...he has struggled with it himdsef as a result and its heartbreaking..one boy was a neighbor boy and that beaks my heart too ...the aftermath of those choices cause ripples in others lives...if they only knew!! reach out and talk..see something, say something!
I am so sorry to hear that, im a 17 year old girl and i’m a junior. last year one of my friends committed suicide last year and it’s heartbreaking especially the ripple effect yiu we’re talking to. praying for your son, cause i understand how hard it is ❤️❤️

It's fitting that you provided the metaphor of your personal energy being like a fire. if it dims, for whatever reason - the emotional and physical demands of relationships, school and work, it can lead to a complete burnout. it's normal that this can happen in any part of life, which is why it's so important to have a good school/work-life balance. My company literally just sent out an e-mail advising that following a new bill recently being passed by one of Canada's provincial governments on disconnecting after work hours, this policy will be applied to all of their departments across Canada. it's very real and so it's good that you are giving tips, for anyone really but mostly for your younger audience, about it.

Hi Kelsey, so lately I feel like I don’t have any true real friends in my life and the ones that I due I feel as though they only talk to me when it benefits them. I’m not really sure what to do and also I’ve been homeschooled my whole life so it comes very limited when trying to make friends. The ones I do have I feel like they are doing me no good but I feel bad breaking off the friendships and loosing the ones that I have. Any advice?
I’m homeschooled too and have been feeling the same way! Something that has really been helping me is working on myself and growing in my relationship with God and clinging to Him. I also spend a lot of time with my family and be friends with them! I know that my relationship with God and family will last forever, and with friendships, even though it’s really sad, that’s not always a guaranteed. You’re not alone!

Take time to focus on you and your personal relationship with God. Find things you are good at and do more of it. Improve your own skills. Your confidence will attract others who are likewise.
