Welcome back to my channel!
In this video, I talk about my 4th business, Bespoke Balloons Ballarat. When I started my balloon decorating business, I really had no idea what I was doing. I saw a gap in my hometown's market, so decided to fill it. Its been a wild 2.5 years of business and we continue to grow and learn every day. From what I thought would just be helium balloon orders, quickly moved to BIG balloon garlands and structures.

THANK YOU!! This was SO informative. I LOVE decorating. A friend brought this business to mind, but with centerpieces. I have seen other people in my city prosper with their beautiful creations with balloons. Since that conversation everything in me has been screaming "TRY". 🤣 So I have my forst event coming up in a few weeks to test my chops. In my research, I see I am going to have to do A LOT of practice in before then. Just like your thought process in the your beginnings, until recently I had the same thoughts of I would just do a couple things here in there. I see now, you just never know. Well, THANK YOU SO MUCH again for this VERY informative video. It was very encouraging and has motivated me to at least let my big ideas live outside my head for once. 😁💕 I wish you much success and might update you on how things gone.

This was exactly what I have been looking for. I am a travel agent who as you know with Covid has absolutely no business coming in for at least the next 6 months or longer at least. I have been toying with the idea of doing something very similar. I live in a semi rural area and my shop is in the local village. There is no one here, servicing this idea. I have the space and want to do start a new business here. Thank you for the inspiration.

Wow yes , it slowed me down . I’m in Florida a lot of people decorate . Yes I know I should not worry about that. I was more so to work from home . I don’t drive and thought this could work . I do decorate mostly dessert tables an I do balloons 🎈 trying to find my niche as they call it thanks for this video , 👍🏽😍

OMG! You are so dope! I happened into balloons too. I decided to DIY a garland for my Mom’s birthday party and the event planner I hired asked for my balloon artist’s number. 🤣 Then I looked up the going rate for these in my area and I decided to start my own business. I am definitely using balloons to fuel my debt free journey.

I'm so GLAD you did it anyway when your friend was negative. People need to STOP listening to people who haven't even done what you planning to do? How can you possibly take any advice from them, trust your gut get a good mentor, take some classes and practice, practice, practice. I tell everyone every expert was one a beginner!!!! You’re story was so so inspirational! God bless you land your business and genuinely cannot wait to get there with my business! I just started in late October this year! One of my biggest questions to you is how do you go about reaching out to vendors. What are the steps. Because I’m in the early stages I’ve learning as I go but it gives me anxiety as well. However I’m NOT GOING TO STOP!! So thank you for saying that! I live here in NY and due to covid things are slow. So for now I’ve been practicing with Kits to get content and enhance my skills while posting on my page but I realized that starting mid January I will have to switch to premium quality balloons even if it’s for practice I can definitely see the difference in quality.

Hey! For all of our helium bunches, my friend and I did a photoshoot then she edited them. For all the photos of balloon garlands in this video they are just photos from my phone

No we dont at the moment. But we do sell DIY balloon garland kits

Yes, you definitely do. I see it as, you need to spend money to make money. Dont use other businesses photos if youve never made them before

This is something I’m Interested in but I will add more to the business (competition). I sadly live in a area that has a good amount of others doing the same thing, yet I wanted to add different services. Not just balloons. I want to add a variety of services. Yet from your point of view is it worth doing it when others in the area are doing it? I’ve been trying to do a business that i can add my artistic ways in. Of course start small and expand
I think if you can offer something different, eg packages then go for it! There are lots of balloon companies in my home town now. Some that do completely different stuff to us, some that do similar. I think if you have a creative edge and you think it could be a success, go for it!

Hi Diana, when the pandemic hit my home town, all big events stopped, so I pivotted our business. I built and ecom website and we started doing daily balloon deliveries for our home town. Pandemic or not, birthdays still occur and although families couldnt see each other, they still sent presents.

Hi Rhonda, I dont see my competitiors as copycats, every business is slightly different. If you have a genuine interest in starting a balloon business, you should go for it!
