    "Almost unlimited field of view": Yes, that's exactly why I bought one. Almost as good FOV as a 3/4 helmet, just enough chin bar to keep my face off the pavement in case of a crash. With Torc would update it with a better hunger/faceshield. Your review is spot on.

    Their replacement visors have an anti-fog treatment. It worked very well for me.

    Glad you talked about the hinge mechanism. I have the Bell Bullitt and am looking to replace it partly because of the crappy tension-fit hinge. Really silly how much Bell charges for that thing.

      I don't want to stake my reputation on it because I haven't tried to move my Sena 20 over to that helmet but it does have circular carve outs for speakers.

    Just bought a new helmet after running the Torc T1 for a year. It started off nice but as it broke it, everything went downhill. The liner padding broke down very fast and became almost a full size larger so basically unsafe. Like you mentioned the hinge is awful and developed a loud squeak when operating it. The intercom speaker indentations are offset from my ears so even with the volume on high, it’s hard to hear. And lastly, it’s the loudest helmet I’ve worn. Air leaks around the shield making it even louder. It served its purpose for a year but I couldn’t put up with it anymore. The one plus is the field of vision is awesome.

    I've had the Bell 500 classic with bubble shield and scorpion 950 both in matte black - great helmets but boring color choice - this helmet in the black and white 5150 color scheme goes perfect with my jet black and pure white Triumph T120 Bonneville. I agree with this review and am impressed with the TORC T1.

      @work2liveinc.bykevinmack743  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If there is one plus to it being so "drafty" its that, once you get moving at all, any fog on the inside of the shield is gonna clear up REAL quick. If you've got a neck gator you can pull up over your chin and glasses on to keep your eyeballs from freezing, I think you could comfortably wear the T1 down to about 50/55 degrees. I run cold though so maybe you're tougher than I am.

      Way to make the lazy American convert from metric! 🤣 I wouldn't recommend it for cooler weather. At 10C, not only is your face going to blasted, with no pinlock, it fogs up pretty quick at slow or no speed.

    Thanks for the review, I’m so glad I found this! I really have wanted a classic looking helmet and I was close to pulling the trigger on the Bell Bullitt. With this one being around half the price for the same, you can’t go wrong. I’ve hear the wind noise on the Bullitt is very loud, open or closed. What was your experience with this one, particularly with the visor closed?

    • @work2liveinc.bykevinmack743
      @work2liveinc.bykevinmack743  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Jacob! It's not a quiet helmet but I don't find it excessive or uncomfortable. I've got a Scorpion EXO AT-950, a Torc T3, and a Shark Skwal. I'd say the T1 is about mid pack by comparison. I'm sure it comes with the territory of having a huge face shield and no chin curtain. The only noise I find truly invasive and distracting is the high pitched whistle with the shield up so once I get rolling at anything more than city street speed, I close it. I ride a Z900RS Cafe and a Street Triple 675R so my head is not getting any wind protection.

  • @ralphcantrell3214

    If it matters to you, the T1 looks WAY better than the Bell Bullitt IMO. The T1 looks 1960's space-age while the Bullitt just looks retro ugly. And the T1's come in some very nice retro-looking paint schemes too.

    Been watching this video (Severtal times man) and considering getting a T1 (or T135). Is there anything (or common problem) which I should be aware of if I am getting this helmet? (I heard the hince of visor easily get loose so wonder if you encountered it b4). some other review mentioned this helmet is more for Asian head fitment (Compare to Bullitt, it will be more comfortable). Great video man and thx for the info and input in advance man.

  • @duncanjowett5575
    @duncanjowett5575 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, I just bought the Vega. Lovely helmet aesthetically.
    2 things:
    1) While I love the retro look, when I put my AGV on after wearing the origine it's like collapsing into your favourite old leather armchair. Origine: if you build to AGV quality, I'd happily pay AGV prices! Raise your quality game coz your designs are A1.
    2) The visor lock in closed device - I've become obsessed. I've lost many many night's sleep just sat staring at this thinking "what...What...WHAT IS IT FOR????" It's driving me insane: Origine spent much € in time for very clever designers to design it. They spent € tooling for it & € on the materials to produce it.
    WHY????? SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME JUST ONE SINGLE TIME. JUST ONE when any motorcyclist has ever said "oooh, I wish I could lock my visor in the closed position??? Crazy Italians

    • @TheMarky26
      @TheMarky26 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use the lock to lock the visor in any position..Not sure why everyone keeps saying it's for the closed position..When I'm riding around town I like to ride with my visor partly open it's great for that..

I am I think more rounded face. What do you suggest as sizing for me then. Torn between the medium and the small.. I have heard size down. I have heard size up. So confused!

    • @work2liveinc.bykevinmack743
      @work2liveinc.bykevinmack743  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its a pretty easy comparison because, within the confines of the retro full face class, they are VERY different. If you want a basic , bare bones throw back, go with the Gringo. I you want a little more in the way of features and a MASSIVE face shield, its really just down to the Bullitt and the T1.
