😅👌 Saying "Thankyou" in korean to a Korean foreigner instead of 'Goodbye' this story forever is embarssing/an embarssment to my Korean tutor/bff 😫 👻👄👻👍this happened 2020 early january and I had finished studying about afew weeks into korean.... and me and my mother went exercising as usual at 4am O: and WA BAM!! as we were stretching n doing dance move stretches (very heated/sweaty) This group of adult tourists- afew koreans, chinese, Taiwanese, american- I dunno, but most of them had the normal tourist look: dark sunglasses, cargo or trophical trousers and a hat (sun hat) :D and so one of them, the korean older man, spotted me and my mother from a small distance away- he came up to me while I was mid bending down my hands to touch my toes and he went in a English accent "Excu- me, do you know wher the polic station ise?" My mom instantly answered in English back to him, "oh no so sorry, we dont know" (but we do, but the guy was abit creepy? I didnt notice until much later when she explained on the way home--- now my mom and I look very very chinese and we are, but we get often mistaken to be Japanese or korean n its fine- but 😅😅 he couldve asked my mother because she's taller n the only adult looking person beside me.... but he decided to strike up a conversation with me--- the obvious teenager beside her, ×_× so I was a dumbass n didnt know he was kinda being creepy until my mom and I got home) while my dumb butt was trying to think of a korean word quickly but panicked and as the man turned around and was about to leave in 1 STEP--- I BLURTED OUT **"Kam-sa-har-mi-dah!"** I FELT FACE PALMS FROM MY ANCESTORS because oh lord, this korean man turned around instantly super surprised and excited (tho his tourist group were already looking our way n being suspicious/looking at him annoyed) and he went ah **"_**___** Hangul/korean??"** (I forgot how he said it, but he asked if i knew korean /-/ no i dont ) And i shook my head alot and waved my hands goodbye at him, cuz my mom was growing more uh angry beside me-- and gave him a look and boom he went away fast back to his tourist group CRINGEST MOMENT of my life /-/ I forgot how to say goodbye, but in a good way :D isnt saying thank you to someone nice :D 😆😆👍 hope yall enjoyed the story, cuz none of my friends are letting me go without retelling it /-/ if anyone learns languages, yall- can do it!!!!!! Even if u get embarrassed, THE POWER OF CONFIDENCE IS POWERFUL
