I remove and clean mine every 3 to 5 years, but I use compressed instead of water, and it does a great job cleaning the fan. I know most people don't have a compressor, but if you do, try that first. It makes it quicker and easier and you don't have to remove the fan from the motor and fan housing.
I bought a fixer-upper a few years ago just to flip. I had to evict four raccoons that were living in the attic. Raccoons get a little testy when you catch them in cages. Lol. Good video.
How many birds have YOU found in an Inducer housing? (3 so far 😂). Excellent as always brotha! Here in CA, many brokers will contact my company to evaluate (escrow) a unit prior to selling and definitely if the buyer is savvy enough in the costs involved with part replacements or the unit in its entirety. As techs we are unbiased and never EVER judge a present and potentially future customer's product care, but we do end up pointing out faults within a unit (which is basically a result of neglect 🤷🏽♂️). The conversations at the shop are, well, mum's the word. Always listening to war stories, battle scars, and out of this 🌍 stories from the old timers (good and bad). A customer the other day purchased a home after seeing only a tstat and a unit in a closet....and went on faith alone. Called us up for a No Heat diag. Opened the service door ..... completely gutted! Only a rusted CAP and a pile of wire! (It's a 🤬ing crazy 🌎, man!) Thanks for the refresher video and will be at the front of the cyber line for the next ✌🏽
Only 1 bird so far, but what I lack in birds I make up in beehives. lol. I was 700 miles away when the inspection was done. Inspector said, "blower was a little loud". I'm thinking simple blower speed adjustment, not something like an imbalanced washing machine walking across the basement. I also needed a machete and a sawzall to get to the condensing unit. That's crazy about the gutted unit!
Mike, there are many people, including myself, who can tell stories similar to yours. Look at it as a challenge since the only thing you cant fix is a broken heart, lol! May you and your family enjoy your new home for many years to come. Thanks for another great video.

Keep the furnace videos coming!
Great video only thing I wold add is a mark on the cage where the molex plug goes. That way I don't have to stop and think about it.
Thank you Mike
I hope you’ll do some videos on walk in freezers and coolers.
