Thank you so much for uploading this album. I purchased it when I was in my teens. I am now 74. Don't know whatever happened to it but never forgot it. I remember Cates directing the Lawrence Welk orchestra. I have been checking TH-cam for the past couple of years hoping that someone would post it. This Thanksgiving I will be giving thanks for you. So many wonderful memories. When my generation is gone, that will be the end of traditional America, a much happier time.
I'm glad you found the video! I really enjoy this vintage Hawaiian / Polynesian music. When I made the video, I saw that nobody had posted about it and I wanted to preserve it and make it available for others... so I'm glad you found it! I think it creates the perfect mood and brings back memories. There's a vintage Hawaiian album out there somewhere that I grew up with that I haven't been able to find anywhere. I keep looking for it and hoping it will show up someday. I remember the name of the album was "Acacca Falls," or something like that (pronounced uh-kaw-kaw falls). I agree with you about the old America changing and fading. It is a very troublesome, worrisome situation we're in. There are some good, smart, strong people in the young generation and I think they'll pull us through... I hope. Cheers!
