As a Raptors fan, I wish nothing but the best for DeMar. It's not like the organization wanted to trade him but when you're given a golden opportunity to get one of the premier players in the game, it's going to cost you something. Perhaps it cost the Raptors their soul when they traded him but even DeMar would begrudingly admit that the trade worked and was worth the price. DeMar for all of his success on the court, he has two major flaws, the first being his reluctance to shoot 3s - he'll take long range 2s all day long and in today's NBA, you need to take that extra step back and turn that 2 into a 3. The other flaw with DeMar is his post-season play - for whatever reason, some players just wilt in the playoffs when teams are able to focus on you night in and night out. DeMar is one of those. I still think he has the drive and capability to change both of those flaws and be like his idol, Kobe, but until he does that, he will never reach his full potential. But regardless of all of that, his dad should be extremely proud of his boy. I know I am.

Not true, he could very well be a key piece to a championship team next year. He's on an expiring contract and contender will want him, possibly in a 6th man role
@@BrothaMan98I agree it's not too late for DeMar DeRozan to win a championship. But no team signs a guy like DeRozan (as he plays currently) to be a sixth man. In today's NBA, it's all about shooting. The best thing DeMar can do for his game if he's starting to feel his age, is develop his 3-point shot.
