My portfolio doesn’t just cater to dividend stocks. I hold $VFIAX (S&P 500 index fund) in my Roth IRA and $VTI (Total Stock Market ETF) in my taxable brokerage account. Two of my largest holdings. The individual dividend stock positions all complement the index holdings.
I was in a similar situation a few years ago; I took profits, but it went higher. Realizing I wasn't good at timing the market, I started working with an advisor, which helped me build a $1.6m stock and crypto portfolio. It all comes down to insight and patience. Remember, time in the market is better than timing the market.

I agree with you. I started out with investing on my own, but I lost a lot of money. I was able to pull out about $200k after the 2020 crash. I invested the money using an analyst, and in seven months, I raked in almost $673,000
already, I can see wild swings in the stock market due to the trump win. I am really confused on how I can make gains on my $500,000 on these market movements without any loss to my money.
DCAing amongst various assets is a good strategy and can help reduce the impact of market volatility and thus a good strategy if you are looking to compound . However it is important to consider financial advisory when investing .

Isn't VOO and VUG similar in the sense both are investing in the S&P 500? What is the difference? I thought it is generally advised against to invest in multiple ETFs or Mutual Funds?
I've been able to scale from 350K to 650K this red season because my FA figured out Defensive strategies to protect my portfolio and profit from this roller coaster market.
What I don’t understand is, on one hand we are told the stock market will crash and yet on the other we are told ways of investing in the stock market. Oxymoron or paradox? I'm considering investing over 150k, but I'm uncertain about risk mitigation strategies.
Personally, I would say have a mentor. Not sure where you will get an experienced one, but if your knowledge of the market is limited, it seems like a good bet.

My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.
the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.
True. Having the right financial planner is invaluable. My portfolio is well-matched for every season of the market and recently hit 90% rise from early last year. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, though this could take till Q3 2024.
Credits goes to "Mary Elizabeth Fugelsang" one of the finest portfolio managers in the field. She's widely recognized; you should take a look at her work.
I am trying to avoid making any new buys at this point in other not to get sucked into a bear market trap. It's tough making money in stocks when institutional investors are the driving force behind the selling.. although I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist?
Since risk is at an all-time high right now, perhaps you should be a little more patient and return when it has decreased. Alternatively, you can consult a trained financial expert for strategy.

I wish they taught investing at school level. There is so much advantage to doing this! My biggest regret is that I started so late. And still not good at it, I think at this point i need help
I wish I could have retired in my 50's. I'm 65 now, I started investing late . After some research, I found a strategy that helped. I'm pleased to say I'm retiring with at least $2 million.

I’ve had majority of my holdings in tech stocks and irrespective of market changes, I’ve done pretty well especially with apple’s P/E(price to earnings ratio) gaining over 30% this past decade, now my questions is what stocks do you think will be the next apple in terms of growth for the next decade.
It might be difficult finding the next apple within the tech stock sector, apple has performed way better than the others, maybe look outside of tech stocks.
I've remained in touch with a financial analyst since the start of my business. Amid today's dynamic market, the key difficulty is pinpointing the right time to buy or sell when dealing with trending stocks - a seemingly simple task but challenging in reality. My portfolio has grown by more than $600k within just a year, and I've entrusted my advisor with the task of determining entry and exit points.
Could you guide me on how to get in touch with your advisor? My funds are being eroded by inflation, and I'm seeking a more lucrative investment strategy to effectively utilize them.

Every week I buy more of whatever is the lowest percentage of my portfolio and try to keep everything around 10%. Please what could be my safest buys with $400k to outperform the market for the rest of the year?
I'd avoid the index funds, mutual funds, or specific stocks for the time being. The 5% fixed incomes are the safest bet for now. Save your cash for when the market actually shows sign of recovery.
This is why I entrusted a fiduciary with my investmnt decisions. Many underestimate advisors until emotions lead to losses. My advisor crafted a tailored strategy aligning with my long-term goals, guiding entry and exit points for the equities I focus on. This has grown my portfolio to over $850k. My personal best so far
When PLTR was astound $5 I bought some calls around $6 and $8, going out to Jan '25. Then sold when the stock reached the low teens. Hindsight is harsh but I'm not mad. I sold because i knew i didn't understand the company. I took my quick gains and ran.
Great selection, but I'm wondering why ASML doesn't show up here? In the past, you said that it's a great company, but too expensive, which would be a perfect pick for a list like this. Also, why do you prefer Crowdstrike over Palo Alto? Greetings!
I prefer Qualys over both CRWD and PANW. QLYS has a lower P/E, higher average ROIC, Gross and Operating Margin than both by a large margin. It's a lower market cap meaning a longer runway to compound gains. The only drawback is that it's revenue growth isn't as fast as the other two, BUT high earnings with crappy ROIC destroys value.

Invest in S&P 500 ETF, for as long as possible. Do it as often as you can. Try not to withdraw this money and let compounding do its work. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.

I’m personally waiting to buy PLTR at $5 *edit* yes I’m joking, I’m already heavily invested at a $20 cost basis. But I agree with Joseph that valuation risk is pretty high right now. Anduril has been a company I’ve been excited about as well, I hope they go DPO instead of IPO
I lost over $300,000 investing in $GME and $BBBY, which was very depressing. Now, with low risk tolerance, I want to invest wisely. I’ve been researching index funds, ETFs, mutual funds, and growth stocks.I want a simple portfolio with about 3 holdings.
I love SCHD and currently own 604 shares. I regularly buy more shares, but I also invest in growth stocks/ETFs. Right now, I focus on growth, but I plan to switch to dividend-paying value stocks/ETFs eventually. I've been following CrowdStrike since 2020 and kept missing my chances-either by watching too long or selling puts that didn’t get assigned. I really respect the CEO for owning up to past mistakes and learning from them. Cybersecurity is crucial in this era where global tensions are heating up, and companies like CrowdStrike will play a major role. When I saw the recent dip, I finally jumped in, and it’s been climbing since. Like you mentioned, they’re unlikely to repeat those errors. If I had one suggestion for you, Joseph: start small and DCA on the dips. But ultimately, it's your call!
It's the only one I would not invest in, they will have a massive decline in revenue due to that outage. It did not translate into their last quarter because it happened at the end of the quarter.

Would really be interested in Joseph's take on companies like Cintas, Wolters Kluiwer, and Compass Group. All with subscribers models, all growing at a steady pace, and all with a big moat.
I did. In my Roth. My options trading debut in my Roth, where short term gains aren't taxed. I sold a cash-secured put, which got called, had to buy 100 shares at $240, then just recently sold a covered call to offload them at $315. It got called last Friday. Fastest tax-free $7500 I've ever made, in addition to the $1500 of premiums I collected. I got paid $1500 to make $7500. I took a risk, and felt CRWD was way too oversold. Finally pulled the trigger under $250 and got lucky.

I own MELI and I personally believe it’s undervalued. They still have a lot of fundamental growth left. My basis is low 1700s so yeah. I am very bullish on them long term. If you look at the penetration level in the regions they operate in, it’s very low. It imo shows they still have a lot of growth potential
Just look at the PE and FCF. If the price jump higher but the PE is lowered and the FCF is rising at a much higher pace then it a good buy. Just like how NVDA is cheaper than it was two years ago despite being a 3.4T market cap vs 500 billion in 2022
I wouldn't touch SPOT with a fishing pole. You say it's INCREDIBLY profitable with a measly 3% profit margin and 5% ROA. All meaningful metrics say it's extremely overvalued.
Bro, FICO made me a multi millionaire (by accident) over the past 5-7 years. My god had the run been amazing. TBH: I’ve been asking Carlson about why he hasn’t covered this stock for years. It’s in all the portfolios of the investors he follows. Edit: Patron member
I can almost guarantee, Joseph is not going to buy CRWD DASH or PLTR within the next year or so. Valuation wise, it’s just not his thing. CRWD just gave us a buying opportunity. The yen trade crash nonsense gave us a buy opportunity for PLTR. The next dips won’t be that low and then the valuations catch up to these stocks, they’ll be a lot higher in price despite looking like a better deal fundamentally.
You missed CRWD until there’s a big market wide selloff. It’s never going to sell at your price until either a big selloff or slowing growth, in which case the valuation crash would be justified.
I really disagree with DoorDash. Maybe it’s because I hate the product they offer instead of loving the convenience. In short, any product that shows me a black and white photo of a contractor and begs me to tip so they can support their family (instead of having that priced in after a 25% business charge and 25% up charge) is not sustainable in my opinion. I have loads of friends that do it but they are the type to go to vacation in Europe and tip their waiters 20%.
Thank you very much!! You teach very well, and I look forward to watching your videos once they are produced. Keep up the good work!!👌it's very much appreciated!!👍👍
Very nice job covering the basics. I am sharing this not to brag but to show what’s possible. I’m retired and I have 2 separate portfolios. One is a long term growth dividend portfolio of stocks where i sell covered calls strategically and my 2nd portfolio is the Crypto trading strategy where its all about income. This year I am on pace to make $120K in realized options profits and around $730K in crypto profit... What is great is that my long-term portfolio is still up significantly as well. As such, it’s possible to generate excellent income but still have a total return perspective. ...Amidst this, the insights of a knowledgeable guide like that of Sandy Barclays can be crucial. Her expertise in navigating the nuances of trading has been the key for Me understanding and making the most of these emerging financial trends.
Over the years, I've been a part of numerous trading programs, sifting through a barrage of information. Yet, nothing has come close to the sheer clarity, depth, and precision of Sandy insights. It's akin to finding a diamond in a coal mine.

Joseph. Could you please tell me why you're looking at the Crowdstrike, but not the Palo Alto Networks? You like the monopolies. PANW is a monopoly in cybersecurity, while crowd strike and many similar companies are basically a one-trick ponies.
I've been eyeing many of these stocks as well. Huge overlap. Hopefully you'll do some update when you find they're within the price range you find fair
Hello Joseph, thank you for sharing the businesses you’re eyeing. I would have liked if you shared your valuation criteria and at what price you believe you would pull the trigger on each, again Thank you
@Joseph, I appreciate you being patient before buying in these companies but, to some extent, wouldn't this be timing the market? I bought FICO at 1600 which seemed crazy high, now it's 2000+... I mean, even with a 20% decrease you would have just saved what, 3-5 months? And what if this 20% never happens and it's only a 10%? Also, what if it rises to 2500 and then goes down to 2000 (-20%), would it be a good entry point? I think you should also assess the probability of an event and see the overall expected value. PS - I bought FICO because of you, thank you =) here in Europe we don't even know what the credit score is
I'm not sure if I've overlooked something or if Joseph hasn't mentioned it, but why doesn’t he reinvest in his current positions? I understand he bought in at a lower price, but if these are truly compounding, wide-moat machines, why not reinvest? I’m just curious, as I haven't seen him address this topic.
Solid list, 7 of the names are also in my short list. I just doubt in this strong market we will see a meaningful dip. if we get a recession like crash within 2 years time, then it will be time to pounce on these
One that will meet your criteria is Dunn and Bradstreet, DNB. The stock currently only trades at only 11 times earnings. Its like SP Global at a massive discount.

Would like to replace CRM with NOW. But they are crazy high. The enterprise I am working for (300k employees) will replace its complete issue ticket system with NOW. And I think we are not the only ones. Plus McDermott is a good CEO. He did some controversial decisions at SAP, but he knows the business and knows how to scale. Benioff on the other hand acts like a used cars salesman.
Cheers for another great video mate! One question - would you still call your positions “concentrated” when you consider all the positions you hold across both channels?

What I don’t understand is, on one hand we are told the stock market will crash and yet on the other we are told ways of investing in the stock market. Oxymoron or paradox? I'm considering investing over 150k, but I'm uncertain about risk mitigation strategies.
Personally, I would say have a mentor. Not sure where you will get an experienced one, but if your knowledge of the market is limited, it seems like a good bet.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
this is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfolio allocation
There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Judith Lynn Staufer” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, though this could take till Q3 2024.
impressive gains! how can I get your advisor please, if you dont mind me asking? I could really use a help as of now
Credits goes to "Mary Elizabeth Fugelsang" one of the finest portfolio managers in the field. She's widely recognized; you should take a look at her work.
I just looked her up on the web and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I will write her an email shortly.

Great selection, but I'm wondering why ASML doesn't show up here? In the past, you said that it's a great company, but too expensive, which would be a perfect pick for a list like this. Also, why do you prefer Crowdstrike over Palo Alto? Greetings!
Cyclical . Not predictable

The crowdstrike recent dip was golden, really happy i built my position and will keep adding on weakness
I'm sure Crowdstrike will F* up again, bricking millions of customers' servers and workstations, and the price will drop like a rock.

Why didn’t you buy $CRWD during the last major outage when the stock price tanked?
I did.

Her expertise in navigating the nuances of trading has been the key for Me understanding and making the most of these emerging financial trends.

Which is the latest company
One that will meet your criteria is Dunn and Bradstreet, DNB. The stock currently only trades at only 11 times earnings. Its like SP Global at a massive discount.
The one that went thru the most shit in 2023. META!!!
I've bought a lot of MSFT this year seeing that it's been dipping. It's my largest holding and I still think it's the best company in the world
i would love it under 350 but thats probably never going to happen
I believe it'll dip until January. So you may get lucky. @@SpliTTMark
Whats your thoughts on googles current situation with the lawsuit and their searchengine declining?
Stock market is on fire! My portfolio is up 23% since the start of the year. Who else is crushing it?
I wish I could say the same. I've been trying to make successful stock picks all year, but I'm still in the red
I’m currently working towards FIRE with a focus on dividends & growth investing. Since 2019, I’ve built a portfolio made up of 30% NVDA, 25% SCHD, 15% VOO and over 30% in digital assets, thanks to my CFA. This strategy has helped me earn $45,000 a year in dividends. Back in 2019, I only earned $400 in dividends.
Please how can I reach this expert, I need someone to help me manage my portfolio
I have a female advisor named Amy Desiree Irish. I recommend researching her. To be very honest, I'm glad I decided to let someone handle expanding my finances even though I almost didn't think I should.
She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran an online search on her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing.
thanks for the high frame rate; I love this as a viewer!
You should look at BN, APO
Cheers for another great video mate! One question - would you still call your positions “concentrated” when you consider all the positions you hold across both channels?
