I understand it happens so fast but like the reporter said those animals are family members and imagining that fear for them breaks my heart. I live in the city and dream of having a big house away from the busy life with a rescue and a small farm. But the responsibility of all that life depending on me alone gives me anxiety and the happy turns to tears. Thank you to the rescue teams, camera men, to the media for using their powers for good, donate if you can!

So glad some animals managed to survive that insanely unmanageable fire that raged through Butte county and pretty much destroyed berry creek.

100% Preventable. I have not read anything about evacuation plans with animals. There should always be a plan BEFORE you get animals and BEFORE fire season! This is why the animals die in fast moving fires. It's 100% preventable and the fault of irresponsible humans. Animal owners should always:
    1) Own and keep in good working order enough trailers and vehicles to tow the trailers; 2) Have enough room in trailer(s) to evacuate the animals; 3) Train horses and other livestock to load before it gets to this! Be PREPARED. YOU LIVE IN A HIGH FIRE ZONE PEOPLE!!!

Please don’t only think about the human beings!!! Think about the animals too, Americans on the west coast!!! If you still deny the global warming and vote for a president that does too, then that’s your fault, but it’s not your animals fault and it shouldn’t have to suffer because you are blind to what’s happening to our planet!!! Wake up and think again!!

We do think about the animals too, you have zero clue what we are going through out here and how fast we are swept out of our homes during these fires. Most of the time we only have time to grab house pets or children and bolt out he door. Pretty sad that you are using this to criticize us and get a comment in about the election. I don’t appreciate your words and I’m sure many of my ranching friends here don’t either. You literally have no clue what we are going through.

TwinTurboChi I lived in the USA for 12 months in the past and the difference is that in Europe people get informed about the suffering of other countries too! We see what you are going through!!! But you have known about the fires for a long while and you know that this repeats every year!

Kathrin you are absolutely clueless as to what you are talking about. The world gets news about all countries so what. We never know where or when any fire is going to start. Your comments aren’t appreciated especially when you aren’t living amongst all of us victims and you have no clue why most animals are left behind. The cities and counties only have so much space for animals during evacuations and that would be if you had time to get them rounded up and moved which 95% of the time is not the case. Most victims are woken up by alarms or police pounding on their doors telling them they have to get out now or else they will be burned alive. There is no time to move the animals and people aren’t going to change their lives and move to safer areas because some lady on TH-cam commented on their situation yet has no personal experience or knowledge of what we all truly face during these events. Who the hell are you to criticize and talk about global warming when millions of acres are burning and we are just trying to stay safe. Inconsiderate assholes do.

TwinTurboChi Well, if you watch this video which was created 2 weeks ago, there are actually people out there that help people to transport animals to a save place!! th-cam.com/video/3fgU6xH4Oes/w-d-xo.html
You don’t need to be rude and call me names!! I didn’t do that either!

And you probably voted for Donald Trump right!?! Because these people are usually rude!! And I know that people in the USA are often only focused on their problems! America first, right??!?! So I lived there and I never had a clue about what was going on in the rest of the world as the news over there never talked about the rest of the world!!! You guys just really need to inform and get busy earlier!! Not when your house or your farm is already in danger!!
