True but the real meaning of Xmas isn’t X-ing out Christ in Christmas, it’s this: X" comes from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Christós (Greek: Χριστός), which became Christ in English.[1] The suffix -mas is from the Latin-derived Old English word for Mass.

Recognizing the heart of Christ beating in a giving man; a Saint, the blessed joyful ringing of bells, twinkling lights, decorated trees, thoughtful giving, toasting each other and the day, and sharing a meal are all fine ways to celebrate in the Spirit of Christ.
Of course some celebrate blindly, but never mind that, pray for peace. Help them remember. Someday they may wake up and follow. Someday they may find their way Home.✨🕊✨

What's truely interesting to me is that Christmas, and they making of a holiday having to do with the birth of baby Jesus, is found nowhere in the Bible. We are not told to celebrate the birth of Jesus, let alone send cards and gifts to one another. We ARE told to remember His death and ressurection, and to remember how we are saved by it, yet there is no holiday or celebration about that. Christmas, Santa Claus, and all the trappings that go with it are man made ideas that have become so engrained in our society, that hardly anyone questions it anymore.

This is pretty facile drivel for Lewis. It's a false dichotomy-which he has of course been accused of using in more important matters-and it's mostly just clever. Not profound. Just...winkingly snide, which is a poor look for us Christians and far beneath the dignity of Lewis' best work.
As an aside, the "X" in Xmas is a Χ, chi, the first letter of ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ, christós, the Christ. He would have, should have, known that.

@Yur Mutha I do not follow Thor. I follow Christ and He taught to store up treasures in heaven, not in things moths will eat and rust will decay. It's actually not about what I believe. Or what you believe. Or what anyone believes. It's about the truth. Someone created you. Someone with at least a little sense of humor (even if it's dark). So that means the being that created you is loving. I mean you could have been a rock or something.
As far as finances go, I don't do cryto, but I've been very blessed. Not that it's any business of yours nor relevant whatsoever to the conversation. Remember, the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. That's actually from the Bible.
Speaking of which, you and I have sinned and broke God's law, which requires punishment. Jesus lived a perfect life and died a brutal death on the cross in our place. If you put your faith and trust in Him you will be forgiven and have life and life more abundantly.

The following is my reply to a TH-cam video titled "The Truth About Christmas - The Start of the Tribulation." The video was posted on TH-cam on Sunday December 11, 2022. Here's my reply:
The Canaanites were celebrating the winter solstice ritual in honor of Baal 5000 years ago. In each household they had a tree (phallus symbol), a wreath (vagina symbol), and they exchanged gifts. Many centuries later the ancient Romans were celebrating the ritual in honor of Saturn and doing it the same way (tree, wreaths, gifts). Their name for the ritual was 'Saturnalia.' In around 300 A.D. the Catholic Church priestclass renamed the ritual 'Christmas.' They did it as an evangelistic ploy to attract people away from Saturn worship. The majority of the Roman people were Saturn worshipers. The temple of Saturn was the biggest building in ancient Rome. The temple priests were very wealthy and the Catholic priestclass wanted to get in on the cash cow.
The spirit behind Christmas is Saturn (Old Testament Baal). The Apostle John called him 'The Spirit of Antichrist" (counterfeit Christ who seeks to mimic the Holy Spirit). John also called him the Beast. He is the leader of the kingdom of darkness fallen angels under Satan and he is Satan's right-hand-man (per Rev. 13:2). He is the principality of idolatry, plus he is the spirit of top-down-control (seeks to operate through men-at-the-top, e.g. leaders of nations, governments, religions, corporations, military, academia, medicine, media, finance, etc.). The ancient Babylonians and Assyrians called him Bel. The ancient Greeks called him Cronos. The ancient Hindus called him Indra. Same spirit going by different names in different time periods and in different cultures.
It was very important to him to implement the winter solstice ritual as he understood that when a person celebrates (honors) the ritual it gives him automatic rights of access to their human spirit (conscience, intuition, and the ability to commune with the Holy Spirit) and to have ongoing influence on their spiritual life (the kingdom of darkness is all about control).
As a side note, Jesus was born on September 11, 3 B.C. by the Julian Calendar. Bethlehem is 2500 ft. above sea level so that in December there would've been no grass for the sheep to eat (see Luke 2:8-20 in the King James Version). Jesus had nothing to do with Christmas (never did and never will). You can verify this information online, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find information that goes against the system narrative (propaganda/brainwash).

I am not denying what you are saying here, but what are your best reliable sources to back this up? Most people say to counter these arguments by asking for ancient sources.

      @Jonathan-wx8yw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@jimyost2585 That seems like kind of a rude reply.
I am not saying that you can't find websites that say these things. Nor am I saying I don't believe them. What I am asking is what ancient sources can be used to back up the claims made by you and on those websites. There are lots of lies out there by people trying to make Jesus seem like he came from pagan religions. If you don't give ancient sources to back these claims up, most will just put it away as false claims made to support your view.
Since you are making these claims, I think you should be responsible for backing them up with evidence. You should at least give a little more or something to go on then "you can verify this information online." You could also find plenty of websites that try to refute this information online too. WHERE ARE THE SOURCES THAT PROVE IT? Even if you just know of recent reliable sources that back this up, then share them too, and it would be much appreciated.
I don't do Christmas, and I don't think that we should. But I want to know and speak the truth for sure and not just make claims that I can't back up. You will also find your argument to be a lot stronger and more convincing if you can give sources and evidence to back it up.

X-mas or Christmas, it does not matter!!! Still this is not a Biblical Christian holiday, anyway! This is the birthday of the Goat-man aka Babylonian Nimrod's son called Tamuz ( especially written not to be celebrated in the Holy Bible)! The fake pseudo-religion of Constantine I from the 4th century used that date to celebrate the birthday of Christ, which is not Biblical at all!!! The Biblical feasts have been substituted for pagan Babylonian ones!!!
It is like to celebrate the birthday of your lover, stating that it is the birthday of your husband ( and to greet your husband fore that fake birthday)! Totally ridiculous, satanic way to do things but it is to be expected by a fake pseudo-religious tradition!!!
The Biblical Holiday for this season is called the Feast of Dedication! Dedicate yourselves to God as holy temples for Him! Lord Jesus Christ celebrated that Feast as stated in John's Gospel!
