  • This is the last episode in our "Return to Baja" series covering our Fall 2023 Baja adventure down to Todos Santos and back. Unfortunately, our plans to stay through the month of December are dashed when our Go Fast Camper has an issue, making camping very difficult for us. We jet back north to the border in a matter of days, but not before making new friends in the palm oasis of San Ignacio where we marvel at the town's beautiful and historic mission.

I had to laugh about those two dogs. I’m a little surprised you didn’t adopt them right then and there. I had a similar experience in Bahia de Los Angeles where a German Shepherd was hitting on me pretty hard. She pretty much had me until another dude told me he was already adopting her. Seems to be a thing in Baja with the dogs as my neighbor regularly comes back with a Sprinter van full of Baja dogs that he then finds homes for in Colorado.

Those two are reasonably well cared for at El Padrino RV Park and would certainly be missed if we scooped them up. We’ve seen FB posts and Instas of them since we got back… They’re famous for being so lovable!

Thanks man. Sometimes it feels like a conspiracy to keep us from leaving for good, but we are getting there. Crossing the border again in a couple days and bee-lining it to La Paz for the ferry to Mazatlán. It's happening!

Where did you camp the night before the border? Can't quite make it out on the video. Thanks. Heading down soon in my Four Wheel Camper.

I’m kinda confused why u have to take the entire camper off/r getting a new one. I thought just the strut mount broke? Anyways great video! 👍

Sorry for the late reply… down in Baja again! We had the Drifter on order before we bought the GFC. It was, believe it or not, a temporary measure. We used it well for about a year. Other than the strut issue it is a great product!

@@FurthurOffRoad I want a vagabond. I like how much more water tight and solid it seems to be I’m just worried about the sleep length. Which is why went with the gfc. My sleep length is 7’1” since I sleep on my stomach. How hard was it to sell ur gfc?

@@reecealeck8314 We sold it pretty quick. Lots of interest. I’m 6’-1” and I find the sleeping length a bit tight in the Drifter. You can pull the first platform forward a little and that helps.
