If you enjoy old school TH-cam and you understand french I would suggest you RETRO POCHE. He mainly do gamellays with commentaries and he's pretty funny and it does not feel forced because he's not always. The sound and picture is a bit blah sometimes as he records with his cellphone, but one of my fav! I discovered this channel somewhere last year, I'm one of the first sub and he's still kinda new and yeah I do him some publicity somehow because I wish him the best. Everything you named, I'm tired of this BS too. A lot of the more professional TH-camrs are professional liars and manipulator.
This reminds me a lot of classic 2007 era TH-cam. Everything from the way you look, to the way you talk, to the way you film is absolutely perfect. If it wasn't for the camera quality I would have assumed this WAS made back in the day. Consider me a fan, I wish you the best!
Dude how old are you? I'm 34 so I have a lot of nostalgia and respect for the creative limitations of old consoles. I'm intrigued by younger generation appreciating this stuff. Thanks for sharing!
You’re right, Namco was cooking in the PS1 era. I still gotta try out the ridge racer games. I’m looking at Ridge Racer Type 4 specifically, heard that one was sick. I heard Klonoa was really awesome, but that one’s going for a bit these days. Still might buy it though.
@@SHADE-EYE right. Sorry ^^ But for Ace Combat 3 the Fan translation is the best experience, because there was so much cut content in the western release. I love the futuristic music and look of this game. Also very cool anime cutscenes.
The video quality, simple filming with no edits, and the retro consoles plus CRT TV makes this feel like a mid 2000's TH-cam video. Love the production! So awesome! 🙌💯
KAZUYAA MISHIMA!! the enthusiasm is giving me 90s vibes in 2005! I agree with you young man, video games especially the classics are meant to be enjoyed!
Watching this video made me happy. It reminded me of me when I was younger, playing video games - talking about how much I enjoyed them so much. Now that I'm older and have lived life, I've lost some of that joy. Seeing him happy, though made me realize what I've lost. I want to regain that. Thank you for sharing this.
The Tekken 2 OST is top 10 greatest gaming soundtracks of all time. The darker more brooding and elegant atmosphere is very unique to it unto itself. Tekken after this became more party fashion sentric. Even tho its not the best playing Tekken game, its soundtrack, atmosphere, aesthetic and the characters debuted here make it my favorite Tekken game.
Tekken 4 is best atmosphere for me. It feels like the definition of early 00s video games, and is so uniquely Tekken feeling compared to the other Tekken games. But all Tekkens before 6 have fantastic atmosphere, no question.
CRT lovers are delusional with their foggy nostalgia glasses. You guys make me cringe SO hard. im glad HDTVs and 1080p standards took over, good riddance!
What a great coincidence that just yesterday I started replaying my favorite old fighting games like Tekken Tag Tournament and then I get recommended this great video. I love to see the enthusiasm this guy has for a classic like Tekken 2. People in the comments are absolutely right when they say this guy's video looks and feels like it was uploaded to TH-cam in 2008.
First played Tekken 2 in 1997 and it's still my favorite. While 3 was an incredible leap forward, Tekken 2 has a tone and aesthetic that has been lost from the series since.
So back when this game first came out my grandmother took me to a Target to pick this game up. I will never forget that day. I took it home and was blown away by how good it was compared to the original. Such a vast improvement at the time. I still play it occasionally even tho i have almost every tekken game ever even tekken 8. Ive been a die hard fan of the series since the original in the arcade back in 1994. Keep enjoying what you love man!
Im echoing everyone too. The fact you filmed this a few days ago but it feels circa 2000 is why i love this. No fancy capture cards but just a dude who loves tekken showing us live gameplay. Ps1 was my all time favorite. To me it had one of the most creative libraries to date. A burst of memories came back to me just by watching this. Please do more! Highly enjoyed this.
Dude this whole channel is so damn timeless. Been binging your videos and seeing you enjoy and appreciate peak games is enjoyable to see man. I really hope your content is appreciated and seen by many more people.
This is wholesome as hell. Tekken 2 was the first game I bought with my ps1 and I’ll still go back and do some arcade runs every now and then to this day. Also nice CRT and retro console setup man. Respect
Good. Because Tekken 2 is usually forgotten because everyone and their grandmothers always choose Tekken 3 as their favorite. I personally love Tekken 2 (because, yes, it was my first), but also it shows Kazuya as the main antagonist.
Dude......your video quality, hair, gaming setup almost made me think I was looking at old footage from the 90s. I took a second look and saw the Series X, flat/thin television, PSP and the TH-cam video quality at 1080p. LOL! That's pretty cool. A time traveling retro gaming channel sounds like a great idea. 😁

So glad this popped in my feed, this was a great watch. Seems like an old school youtube video which is refreshing and Tekken 2 is AWESOME. Im 42 so this game was my childhood. Its got my fave OST of the series, especially Yoshimitzu and Kazuyas stage and i just love the vibe of the game. Tekken 3 and onward took the series into this hyper techno cyberpunk direction, but ill always love the T2 era! I think ill pop this game on now and play a bit.
When I first saw Tekken 2 in the arcades, I thought "Video games have peaked. The graphics can't get any better than this." The only reason i went to the arcades was to play this. And the only reason i bought a ps1 was to play it at home. Since then, I have not experienced the same 'euphoria' when playing any other game.
I dig how... nostalgic your channel is. Not just the stuff being covered, here, but the style and presentation and everything. Takes me way back to the simpler days of TH-cam. Subscribed!
I don't know what it is about this video but it makes me so happy and feel so nostalgic. Your energy and the quality of the video just feels so authentic. Good ol' Tekken 2. :')

T2 is my favourite in the series: I enjoy its aesthetics and the memories it brings. It always makes me happy to see that there is a small, but very dedicated T2 community out there. Also, love how simple and to the point your video is, much like those early, casual TH-cam videos.
one of the best games 🎮 that came out in the Playstation 1 era in the mid 90s alot good rememarble games have great music and gameplay good times nostalgia collection for those who grew up and appreciate the moments 💯
Love seeing this kind of thing in 2024. Gaming nowadays blows in comparison to these classic gems. Whilst I also think Tekken 2 is very cool personally my favourite is Tekken 4, purely because the story of that game hit me like none of the others. I really felt immersed in it. The storyline was epic, the visuals were stunning for the time and the music was amazing, particularly in the dojo stage. I had great memories from playing the original on the PS1 all the way to Tekken 5 on the PS2, also played a fair bit of them in the arcades. Tekken 6 was where I felt the magic was lost.
I really like the way you've made this video seems more human and natural and yes there's something very special about tekken 2 that can't be described in words!

Tekken 2 was the first Tekken game I ever played, and it felt like a whole new universe, even after my love for Mortal Kombat. I have so many great memories with Tekken 2. It really set the stage for the entire series. Almost everything we loved in Tekken 2 was built upon in Tekken 3 and beyond. It laid the groundwork for all the awesome Tekken games that followed, with its core mechanics and iconic characters. Thanks for the awesome review! Just a small suggestion: a better mic, like a lava mic, could really improve the audio quality. Keep up the great work!
I used to play this game with my older sisters, some of the greatest memories ever. Love the sounds, the announcer, the grunts. Especially Paul, he sounds RADICAL.
Lmao I love how there’s not really “stages” in super early Tekken, just ground textures and a background image. Yet it still looks and sounds amazing to this day, in a nostalgic and abstract way
Tekken 2 was my first videogame so it’s very special to me, also the backgrounds actually helped me as a kid get interested in history due to wanting to visit the arenas! And they’re all real locations. (Except Kazuya’s stage)
For my seventh birthday in 1996, my dad bought me a PlayStation with Tekken 2 and I played it almost every day for a year straight. It's really nostalgic to see it and I love the enthusiasm you have for the game in this video. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I will never forget when this came out. OMG!!!! I'm 47 &this right here was the best sequel for the time. KUMA!!!! we played this until we unlocked everyone!!! But Tekken 3 is the pinnacle for PSX(PS1). Great music & Tekken is so easy to pick up & play!!!! Great love letter video!! PS - GAMEPLAY IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORANT ELEMENTS FOR GREAT GAMES!!

Fucking finally, so many youtubers tricked into thinking they need $2000 of equipment to just make some fun videos about what they like. Nope!
I miss the days of every character having their own stage and theme song .
Man I was just thinking this the other day too! Hopefully they bring it back in T9 but I doubt it :(
Seriously, lost art. Wish I could use 8's jukebox to set tracks to play against individual characters instead of stages

TH-cam recommends me a video with a Dreamcast on the top shelf, and a classic SONY CRT TV. I'm listening.
this is an incredible game. the music will never leave me.
Fantastic nostalgic video. Could feel the passion for this game and it truly is a classic. Look forward to more reviews
I was 15 when i got my hands on a burned copy of Tekken 2 for the ps1😢 oh those were the simpler times.
youtube been a bit dry for me lately but this was very refreshing to watch, appreciate you 🙏
For my seventh birthday in 1996, my dad bought me a PlayStation with Tekken 2 and I played it almost every day for a year straight. It's really nostalgic to see it and I love the enthusiasm you have for the game in this video. Thanks for sharing your experience.
This is so wholesome, I love that I'm seeing a video like this in 2024
This reminds me of youtube old-school video game reviews, from 2006 to 2009. I love it!
