As a 24 year law enforcement officer in a large liberal city, I worked 12 days of riots last year.I repeatedly had objects thrown at me, and my blue family, and people spitting etc. I watched a brother in blue get run over, and took gunfire trying to take back a street where they were setting fires. For the first time in my long career I felt betrayed, alone, and terrified for my children's,and this country's future. This song speaks volumes to me and reduces me to tears every time I hear it. I have been a huge fan of your music and patriotism for a long time. But this puts my love for your music to a whole new level. I been a staind fan since torment love that album but Their album dysfunction and 14 shades of grey are my favorites. At first I wasn’t a big fan of Aaron’s country songs but they started to grow on me. He has a way of writing extremely powerful songs with haunting melodies.
And by "all come together", I'm assuming you mean every straight person coming together to be against gay people? Or every cisgender person coming together to be against transgender people? Or maybe you mean coming together to NOT promote universal free healthcare that could save multiple lives that wouldn't be able to be saved otherwise because they can't afford it. Or speaking of affording it, maybe you mean coming together to leave everyone on their own and not having to pay taxes on education and stuff that would benefit everybody. No, you want everybody to be more focused on paying taxes on military and war than education and you want everyone to come together on that. Maybe you mean coming together in not trying to make the playing field for job opportunities more proportionately balanced between whites and blacks by not having people turn over black names more often. Or speaking of black people, maybe you mean every coming together in ignoring the fact that black people specifically are targeted, shot, and arrested by police at a very disproportionately high rate by changing the slogan from BLM to ALM. Or maybe you mean come together in keeping the stasis quo of black people being paid $100,000 less on average each year than white people. Speaking of being paid less, maybe you mean coming together to have woman not have the same job opportunities as men when it comes to STEM. Speaking of woman maybe you mean coming together to ignore the bodily autonomy of a woman who is a living, thinking, feeling, breathing person in favor of a clump of cells that is neither viable nor conscious. Hell, maybe you mean come together in forcing everyone into their assigned gender roles based off what you think their gender is. If any of these sound like good ideas to you or even remotely like people coming together then you are beyond help. At the end of the day, Conservatives want everybody to lives in a very particular way according to tradition. Liberals on the other hand want everybody to live as they wish INCLUDING the conservatives that want a traditional lifestyle (as long as they aren't discriminating against other people). Yeup, us democrats sure don't want people to come together.

@Aaron lewis I was a casual fan of Staind since the late 90's, but I was so blown away by Aaron's voice when I saw them perform at a free concert in Detroit during the 2009 NCAA Final Four, I really started following. It's kinda weird... the song could be about mowing the yard and spraying weeds with roundup, and I'd be moved... "that's the best damn yard work song ever" lol.

Or maybe you mean come together in keeping the stasis quo of black people being paid $100,000 less on average each year than white people. Speaking of being paid less, maybe you mean coming together to have woman not have the same job opportunities as men when it comes to STEM. Speaking of woman maybe you mean coming together to ignore the bodily autonomy of a woman who is a living, thinking, feeling, breathing person in favor of a clump of cells that is neither viable nor conscious. Hell, maybe you mean come together in forcing everyone into their assigned gender roles based off what you think their gender is.
If any of these sound like good ideas to you or even remotely like people coming together then you are beyond help. At the end of the day, Conservatives want everybody to lives in a very particular way according to tradition. Liberals on the other hand want everybody to live as they wish INCLUDING the conservatives that want a traditional lifestyle (as long as they aren't discriminating against other people). It's kinda weird... the song could be about mowing the yard and spraying weeds with roundup, and I'd be moved... "that's the best damn yard work song ever" lol.

I was once proud and grateful of my country and the people who've lead it. Now i'm struggling and fighting to not loose my point of view and to change things and help people around me as far as one person is able to. It's hard!

AAron, I listen to a talk show on the radio - Dan Rivers is the talk show host and I know he loves Country Western etc type of music. I was so impressed with this song that I sent it to Dan and he was playing it on his radio program yesterday 8/3/21 all morning. He said he loved it.
