This. So much this. For the boots, the greater essences alone are 18 Ex, and for 30 Ex, you can get excellent boots. If you're willing to burn currency to fish for top-end RNG, or are SSF, cool, but otherwise, this is a gamble that I can't possibly see paying off.
have u even watched the final price check section… we’re talking about multiple divines here. 30ex will get you absolutely nothing. For any meaningful upgrade that costs you, say 10 divines, at the current market rate that’s roughly equivalent to 1000 ex. With 1000 ex you could absolutely craft many pieces that combined worth more than what you spent. So you either spend 10 divine buying an upgrade, or spend 1000 ex crafting. If you’re at 30 ex a piece territory then this video has nothing to do with you. Yet.
I like this breakdown. it really shows how's the potential outcome of getting what you want with so much boots/resources. GAMBA 101 = poe 2 crafting !!
Your crafting process is amazing and very inspiring as a POE2 beginner. But what I’m really jealous at is the PC UI 😂. As a console player it’s dumbfounding how easy you’re navigating through everything 🤩
I like your idea :). I'm up to about 150K so I have a little ways to go haha. PS , I have 18 tabs full of Blue items I cant even make rare cause I have no regals or exalts > 9 artificers 2 alcs but I have 70 transmutes !!!!
@@swagstablots of vendors in the game sell "random rings," And you can just buy them for 3k-7k gold or whatever depending on your stage of game and then just slam them with orbs
to be honest/frank i haven't had much success with endgame crafting; the simpler, less determinism certainly makes crafting more of a gamble without alterations/scours. (i was thinking they should introduce limits to how much a single item can be crafted on (like last epoch) to prevent single base crafting like i'm assuming they want to). solid video homie; was hoping for some unknown dark hidden arts through omen use or something i wasn't aware of lol - thanks again!
Endgame crafting takes time to figure out, there are some omen dark arts but that's a topic for another video in the future. This was intended much more at someone looking to upgrade their own gear / maybe make a profit selling the spares, and less at making the best possible item. Once you get into endgame omens the costs quickly jump into the 2-3 digit divines.
Anyone know what the key is on pc to apply an orb to multiple things without going back and forth clicking it? Its easy on controler I just haven't figured it out on pc. Like hold to apply multiple key?
I look for bases I use then just throw 3 affixes on see how it’s going and just scrap it if it’s not perfect before I regal or exalt it. I’m using the never sink filter with some custom colors and hidden base armor pieces. Can’t wait for the legit filter here in the next few days. So where did you get all the base items you had? You just trade to get them? Or are those saved up for a while
@tenkiei Quick question - You have the 'Inspiration' Support Gem slotted into the the Cast on Shock skill gem. Does that reduce the energy trigger cost for Conduit by 40% from 200 to 120(?) even though the gem says it doesnt impact spirit skills? Hard for me to tell trying to test this.
No, it reduces the mana cost. You still pay a mana cost when triggering a skill so this adds up to a lot of mana with Archmage and rapid triggers on bosses.
This is super helpful, thank you for sharing! Are you worried about your viewers flooding the market with this strategy and driving down prices? Another question, where are you looking up the possible rolls on prefix and suffix, you show a snapshot of it at 25:39?
The screenshot is from PoE2db. Long term, I'm not worried about people flooding the market because the market always adjusts over time. Yes it'll probably happen for a couple days if the video takes off but then 2 weeks from now people will forget and it'll be a good resource for those looking to learn. Also this is why I always stress "learn the method, and apply it" vs "just copy me" because for example you can use the same combinations to make Eva/MS boots.
@WutherWave-qc3ud Havent sold it yet, but im preparing my gemling to be upp to the task of T15maps. When i start playing him ill sell it for 140divs or so. Getting sidetracked all the time so i spend the cash on the sparkling sorcerer. Its kinda hard to let go of an uber weapon, tryed my old wand and went down 12k dps 😆
Most of them aren't. Prices shift around a bit but the trade site is displaying them incorrectly because it thinks a divine is ~11 ex. So Greater Essence of Enhnacement is ~15 Ex atm but the 1 div ones (125 ex) show up first.
I never played poe1 and i have 100hrs in poe2. Idk shit about wtf is going on on this video but was fun to watch and sad to see how you throw all this exalts while im hiding my 2 exalts in a premium tap alone. Thank you
The weight is a shorthand for comparison, because for example an item with 40% Cold and 10% fire might be roughly as desirable to players as 30% cold 20% lightning. If you search for something overly specific you limit your results. So I combine the desired mods (ex; cold, lighting, int, fire) and "Sum" to 50 to cover both scenarios.
It's great that you make this video and show people how to "craft" in this game. My problem with it is that it does not feel like "crafting"; the term "crafting" implies that the player has some control over determining the outcome of the process. This feels like straight up gambling. And it feels like a huge step backward relative to pretty much every other ARPG that's come out post poe1.
Watching you craft these items makes me amazed at how good my gear I got before the prices exploded really is 😂 having tri resist and es on my gloves for 20-30 exalts 🤯
I've also bought / made some crazy stuff. Like a pair of gloves that I bought for 10 ex, slammed 1 good prefix / 1 good suffix (but not what I needed) so I sold it for 40 div.
I see poe2 like a "fresh start" from the devs as far as crafting goes. I really think the crafting bench should have been in early access. I hope it comes back. They can leave the meta crafting options off but being able to block a mod on a roll before exalt would be big
I see it as a fresh start too, which is why I'm glad it feels very different from poe1. Though I definitely miss resistance swaps, I'd love to see that return.
Crafting is just a piece of shit in poe2. Not worth it at all. The rng is crazy. New problem now: I never got one single gear worth to equip, everything came from trade. I just got to level 80 and I can't upgrade anymore because everything costs several DIVINES orbs (I only got two divines drops in 150 hours).
I have a bunch of good stuff behind elevation spheres standing and can't sell for 3-6pc literally. A lot of them are taken right off myself. Try when searching to strictly limit the price in the spheres of exaltation, it is quite possible you will find super cheap items for 5-15% maximum worse than for 1 divine and even better! I personally bought a helmet today for 3 divine spheres, and then sold my own much worse for the same 3 divine spheres!)))

Appreciate the video...my blood pressure couldn't handle it
Great Video! Very detailed and good explanation. POE 2 crafting is the embodiment of “it takes money to make money”
Good stuff!
Thank you for your effort to show this in a clear way.
You're welcome, enjoy!
Ah great, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Ten!
Considering the cost of doing this, it would be honestly better to just buy the gear i need.

here's a tip, use 7 million gold on gambling amulets/rings and craft off of those, and merge to gamba more

How do you use gold to gamble rings?

Where can you see glove affixes? In poe2 db I see only unique gloves.
Monk uses ES helm so crit would be fantastic

Can you get a 450 Es helmet by doing this ? The best you got barely hit 200

@ makes sense thank you for the clarification!
Do you like Arc overall more than fireball now after playing it more? Seems nicer for scaling
At this point, yes I prefer spark. But I've also spent a lot more on my Spark gear so I think that's definitely a factor.

I also don't see people who are sitting on the currency needed to be able to craft high end items but are unaware of how to craft good items in POE 2.
hey mate what's the website you refer with overlays during the video for prefix and suffix?
poe2db.
Hi, how do you acquire all the base items? Is it just from picking them up during Maps?
You can also buy them from other players via the trade site.
wait u can buy bases in bulk? lol gotta check that out. ismt buying 20 speed essences almost enough for decent boots?
Ill never have to craft again a wand worth 100+ Divs dropped!
No way!?

Either pick them up while mapping, or buy them from other players.
You gotta do individual trades from players rather than buy stacks of alterations from a player

Yeah, quite a few pieces sold.
Man appreciate but without much deterministic crafting like poe 1 does , all i do is trade for it in premium or get lucky i guess :)
