I take it ULF is pronounced "oof." Worth it, though. Wish I had the ingenuity to build my own camera. Please do show us how you make the bellows when or if you do.
Hello, I really like your videos. congratulations. I have a question, what filters do you use for x-ray film. If the film is supposed to be orthochromatic, is it okay to use yellow, red, orange, or amber filters? Greetings from Colombia
It's a Kallitype (silver nitrate/ferric oxalate). I've been making them for years. I've made one Van Dyke, and that was my intro into Alt. processing, almost 20 years ago.
How are you not getting massive amounts of halation glow in the light filtering through leaves etc? Since xray has no anti halation filter, I get super glow-y shots all the time. Maybe you are getting that but it's just so small on 11x14
That’s a big ol’ negative!
Love this video! Thanks for all the extra effort you put into making the videos fun:)
Thank you! You made my day!

I will, thanks! I'm starting to think about the materials I'll need to source, as well as the steps involved.
Another beautiful print ! It's great to see such a nice result from such a simple camera. Thanks for sharing !
She may be all rickety and not much to look at, but she usually gets the job done! Thanks Sean!

I use yellow #15, green #57, and blue #47. Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@analogueandy8x10 Muchas gracias:)
Would it be possible to run an elastic line from frame to frame on the corners and have adjustable velcro loops on the bellows to hold it out?
I've since replaced the bellows with a nice one made by Custom Bellows in the UK.
Looks like you made a Van Dyke brown print, not a true kallitype, which would take you much longer.

That's a good question. I have gotten halation effects in some situations. I actually LOVE the fact that there is no AN layer. Thanks for commenting!
@@analogueandy8x10 I often like it too, I'm just curious why it's not in this photo, specifically, more so than trying to get rid of it all the time.
Hi how many ISO you expose???? Congratulaions from ARGENTINA
