On going due to the previous owner bodging things! Would be fair to compare my costs as I went balls to the wall with pushing the stock engine,turbo with upgrades. But over here a stock JZ costs about £1500 complete with ecu and box etc A swap into a less complex car is cheap like £1000 out the door but because this is a obd2 car with modern nonsense a lot of electrical work is involved, like the stereo for instance is tied into everything in the car and I had to have it custom wired at about £200, then coils and clocks communicating was also £200ish I would guess over here a proper complete out the door swap with engine £3k

1JZ vvti is “the one” absolute joy to drive and sounds amazing compared to the 2jz non and vvti. Car is good thanks for asking, my redesigned greddy turbo is incredible pushing over 400whp and literally no lag and boost threshold is non existent… in a 4 speed auto!
im looking to go down the bmw route with mines n46 or m54 . not looking for a monster power house just using those cause they are extremely available where i am
@@TheBenchmarkuk nopes cost ALOT less i can get a bmw engine for £400 and below a na JZ runs you upward of a grand . i can even buy a complete e46 BMW for £800 and have the entire wiring loom and gearbox as well. try getting anywhere near that with a JZ . the drift and big power scene has blown the price of a JZ engine way out of proportion and those engines are getting rear. a BMW powerplant is a dine a dozen in the united kingdom

THE 13b-MSP are kind of a lot. As I have one and I wanna switch to a 1jz or a 13b-REW. The Renisis 13b’s are just bad but not to bad.
