Forse ancora nessuno capisce che tirare in mezzo un maestro come Paolo Fresu è assolutamente una conquista per l'hip hop mondiale! Assoluto rispetto per Bonnot
Good to see general levy still doing his thing... I remember the first verse he did on this track from the early 90's! I use to love that track! A team up wid DP... crazy!
Like, the Italian rapper? I know this is a five year old comment, but I'm curious what he said. Any memory of what the interview was? Does he also work with Bonnot? I've seen him on a few Assalti Frontali tracks (probably the main reason why I know about him), but I don't know much more.
One of the few rap songs I can enjoy. I never bought into the genre because I was fucking tired of rappers only talking about how rich they are and how much drugs they consume. Seems to me like just another way of löetting the people inspire to become rich within the ystem or at least not agitating against it. But this actually has a meaning and flow. Although I am mostly a metalhead, other good rappers in my opinion are Lowkey and Immortal technique.
Man that's so shortsighted. Hiphop is SO political in its nature and history. Try Tupac, Dead Prez, The Roots, Public Enemy, The Coup, Lupe Fiasco etc. etc. etc. etc.
ErikMartyn, you are spot on! I never understand it when people say all rappers talk about are drugs, sex, and violence. Dead Prez told you all years ago to TURN OFF YOUR RADIO! Too much positive and thought provoking rap music out there on the internet for people to still be complaining about what the record companies promote.
Thank you so much for including a white guy, after everything that has gone down... you Africans are truly the biggest hearted people on the planet. Solidarity from white here!
To be honest... There are kind-hearted people everywhere, as it is the same with assholes. We Europeans simply managed to create a system, which got spread through colonization, that incentivizes being a selfish and egocentric dick. (Which is a result of the centuries of hierarchical and exploitative system in this continent. Most of us are descended from serfs and peasants and are wageslaves nowadays afterall.) Only when people on all sides start seeing mankind for what it is, a big globalized society of individuals, we will be able to overcome the superficial divisive idiocy that the simpletons among us try to propagandize. (Atleast I feel that I have more in common with the people in this video, than with the right-wingers, capitalists, bankers or CEOs within my own country [Germany].)
I understand that the need for unity among oppressed people is of the utmost importance, but ultimately the struggle needs to be unity among all people of a revolutionary consciousness. All power to all the people. Peace.
Those two do not contradict. Blacks are oppressed as a constructed race. While the goal indeed is general liberation, we have to understand in which systems of oppression we take part in. So a white (even as working class) who complains about having to reflect his privileges for being white, does not understand or show the will of real systemic change. Our cultures and languages are also riddled with oppressing systems. A real revolutionary should be glad to detect his own racist views and then gladly set himself free from them.
2024 and still here..
Real Revolutionaries remember this banger.
Power to the people!
Which people?
@Ander Aborin Everyone than. I agree, power to all who are fighting tyranny!
I cannot believe this is from 2011. It's still fucking hot.
