    Thanks for the breakdown. Naji has been great, and now that his 3 is starting to drop, he's looking to exceed all expectations. I'm psyched.

      He doesn't do this with Luka .. half the games he had less than 6 points.

    All the real mavs fans have been saying Marshall is a much better fit than DJJ and people were killing us for saying that. Now they all see what we've been seeing for a while now.

    • @iamchaunceman
      @iamchaunceman 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      Unlike DJJ, who I love btw, Naji is a versatile player, good at everything, great at nothing ( except that floater ). He’s the perfect role player for a winning team

  • @joshhutchins6747
    @joshhutchins6747 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +14

    The funny thing is everyone that knows a lot about basketball has been shouting from the rooftops about Naji for two years, he's always been versatile and now he's added consistency and downright aggression to his game. Love him and PJ.

    • @iamchaunceman
      @iamchaunceman 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah, pelicans fans weren’t shy when saying he will be our new favorite player. I do think he’s finally getting the minutes and role he’s always needed to really be effective. He was buried behind great wings in NOLA like Trey Murphy, poor mans KD, and then Dyson Daniel’s, and many more. Now he’s free to stretch his wings and fly

    I said that when they announced signing him I firs saw his videos. Some people didn’t believe he was a ball handling guy, and a passer and potentially excellent scorer. And I think this is making PJ be better as well, because is like we have two PJs now, each one with its particular skills. PJ is stronger defender. So they complement perfect.

    People are sleeping on the Mavs. They haven’t been healthy for any stretch this season. And without Luka they are 3-1 and playing good teams

  • @faervas1234
    @faervas1234 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +11

    I knew Naji was going to be great from the preseason. He is doing the exact samethings he was doing back then. There is something about him in without Luka that allows him to being one of the best players on the team.

  • @ClanDWoolz
    @ClanDWoolz 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

    Awesome video! Some of the comments are insufferable. Luka will be fine and so will Klay. Even when Klay isn't making them he is spreading the court. And every year Klay starts off slow and picks it up.

    • @Jomiloju-xw6wg
      @Jomiloju-xw6wg 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You're right about Klay doing other things well when he doesn't score, but if his scoring were just a bit more consistent we would be doing way better, I'm not pressed about it cus the only expectation I put on him was to be better than Hardaway which he is, but I don't like the streakiness

    • @ClanDWoolz
      @ClanDWoolz 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@Jomiloju-xw6wg Well, he is doing better than THJ, that's for sure. He definitely plays better defense and better passing than THJ. If you look, almost every season, he has a slow start. But yeah, him making his shots will unlock us.

    If Luka ever gets near 100% this team is clearly championship level. Unfortunate that they didnt manage to put this quality around him before and his body got fucked having to play thru injuries to keep them afloat over the years.

    I absolutely love this guy. He was and still is my favorite new addition.....yes even over Clay. He's developing into the full package and that third ball handler Dallas has been lacking for years. He's my early season MVP so far.

  • @biffmarcum5014

    Problem is that when Luka comes back he will be bringing the ball up, which means a slower pace. Not sure that works best for this Mavs crew. Still they need Luka.

    And these mavs haters said he's not much of an upgrade and their defense will suffer because they trade Derrick Jones lol
    -Mavs are 7th in defensive rating this season and Naji is playing better than Jones

    this is like exum on steroids lol exum was unbelievable last year during RS but you can see that he relies on absurd shooting night to get double digit production on a nightly basis but naji's game looks sustainable cause he creates his own shot and doesnt need luka and kyrie to create for him

    Can’t say Naji isn’t a good 3point shooter anymore. Hes finally picked up where he left off last season when he shot 38%. I can’t wait for luka to get healthy, having two point forwards and position less basketball ( besides our twin towers ) should make for a fun and successful season. I bet we are near 4th seed by Jan 1st due to the favorable schedule. Then we buckle down for another run. Klay is coming too, I see the way he’s playing, I see his energy and optimism. It’s coming and it will be at the right time.

    Naji Marshall is like Draymond Green player with better scoring. Some people even call him Temu Luka. The only thing so far I don't like about him is he airballs 3s more often than others. I mean, he's not a bad shooter. It's just his misses are just really bad.

    Luka's ball hogging is hurting the Mavs . Naji started doing this after LD went down. Luka needs to learn, your teammates are essential to winning. Not just your stats. HAHAHA, look at all the Luka fanboys getting mad. Dont worry, he'll be back soon to make your wet dreams come true

    Look. This is typical of a great mavs team during the luka era. Luka can be the best ever, then decide he just wants to score and we lose 5 out of 6 games and then luka decides to play for real and the team wins 27 out of 9. We'll bounce back and be top 5 and be a 2nd to 3rd round exit this year. It'll be fun. Won't make the finals most likely. But will be expecting great things the next couple years
