A very interesting series that could've been even better had you chosen a different presenter. Or at least edited it differently. Everett gives me the creeps in this episode.

He was probably told to just be himself so channeled his inner Byron. A bit of inside info: everyone is fake and everyone is a creep, most just try to hide it. Some are better actors than others.

Everett i suppose is channeling Byron (or who he wishes Byron were) and comes across as obnoxiously obsessed with sex. which is fine for him, but not great in a presenter. It becomes all about Everett first, and Byron second. So little of the amazing poetry and so much about Rupe's fantasy sexual projections.

this man interrupts far too much. it’s hard to watch a narcissist pretend to elicit information from a guest expert, then have him blurt right over what they start to say and cut them off, never to return. Stop asking people if you’re not willing to let them share what they know.

    • @veronicafaber143

Absolute History is not the one who produced this series or any of the series on this channel. They just post old Brittish television that is somewhat historica. This came out in 2009 under Blast! Flims. Thankfully there are only 2 episodes of this incredibly uncomfortable series. It looks like there were plans for more, but as some have so beautifully put it, Rupert Everett seems to want to be Byron. If Byron was around today, I can't imagine him becoming the same superstar he was in his time.
