Πανέμορφο βίντεο ως συνήθως και μακάρι να βρεθούν πόροι για αποκατάσταθουν κι άλλες ιστορικές ατμαξες....Να ρωτησω γιατί δεν γίνεται όλη ή διαδρομή ως το Διακόπτο;
Η ατμάμαξα είναι πλήρως λειτουργική και ικανή να εκτελεί κάθε μέρα όλη τη διαδρομή. Το πρόβλημα με τα τμήματα της οδόντωσης είναι πως οι αρμόδιοι της περιοχής φοβούνται την πιθανή πρόκληση πυρκαϊάς στο φαράγγι από την εκπομπή καρβουνιδίων (το οποίο όμως κατά την γενική επισκευή της προβλεύθηκε για να υπάρχει προστασία από αυτά) από τον κώνο εκροής της (φουγάρο). Οπότε προς ώρας μπορεί να κινηθεί μόνο μέχρι Κερπινή και ίσως κατά τους χειμερινούς μήνες και μέχρι Ζαχλωρού.
Μπράβο ρε παιδιά! Μια ερώτηση μόνο, ολίγον πεζή: Τα κινούμενα μέρη εντάξει, τα σερβίρεις και προχωράς. Αλλά για 100 χρονών λέβητα ποιός υπογράφει;; Σε τί πίεση δουλεύει;
So happy to see this loco working again. A pity to have seen it simply sitting outside. Is this loco still rack equipped, or have the inner rack cylinders been removed, as I see what could be 2 empty cylinder holes under the smokebox. I notice she has new headlights too (3 instead of 1) and a different whistle (or lower pressure?) Any confirmation would be great, especially about the rack capabilities.
Hello Jacob! The locomotive is fully operative both in the rack parts and the normal parts. During her refurbishment in 2014 she had her rack system repaired. As you noticed there were added two more headlights (those that she used to have). As far as the wistle is concerned, i have no idea about that. She has a different sound but hte reason is something that only a steam specialist or the driver himself could only say.
Thank you. I was basing my guess off when I had seen her in her previous life, and she appeared to be sans-rack. I do like the appropriate headlights, the previous one looked like an attempt to make her "old-timey". After thinking, it probably is the same whistle, just after about a decade of not being blown they all get that way, the famous Flying Scotsman's whistle squeaked more than in the 1990s.

Ρώτα αν θα αντέξει η μηχανή πρώτον, γιατί μην ξεχνάμε ότι είναι κατασκευή του 1890 και για πολλά χρόνια ήταν ακίνητη!
