- Automating mobile game testing is critical as they evolve and new features are added regularly. It enables us to detect faults early in the development process and maintain a high level of gameplay for our users.
This project focuses on integrating functional testing into automation processes for Unity games. Traditionally, QA testers manually conduct functional testing, but leveraging appropriate tools can streamline this process for non-standard GUIs like Unity game interfaces. While image recognition is an option, it may not be the most efficient due to its high memory consumption. To address this, we have developed a solution that utilizes Poco for UI element control search within the GUI.
Additionally, we harness Appium's touch capabilities to execute actions within the application. Our innovative approach involves the creation of Pocodriver, a tool that seamlessly combines Poco and Appium functionalities. This integration significantly enhances the efficiency of writing functional test cases in automation.
