    i hope people realise how big a legend this guy was and how many years he was publishing his book with annual editions. In this video he is 87 years old and to me his presentation is impressive given his age. I hope someone does come along to continue his wisdom in careers as his point regarding schools having a gap that addresses the need continues to be valid. RIP Dick!

    Luck will be based on intersections and interactions; getting involved with people, which might give you access to opportunities. Intuition/alertness depends on what your bench mark is and what you notice. Observation. What do you like to work with most: People/information or things? Focus on your preference. Take inventory of yourself. Think out of the box. Design. Ask yourself: What do I LOVE to do? What am I good at? What am I enthusiastic about most? You could BE anything that resonates to who you are and what you love to do!

    There is no “self” or “I” to begin with in order to do a “self” inventory, unless your definition of “yourself” is the universe itself.

    • @Dad_Brad

      TheSophiaQuestor Thank you for asking. Ring the bell, school is in. What I said about “I”’and the universe is commonly explained these days by physicists, philosophers, school teachers, Zen Buddhists, etc. The very idea that you can be something separate from the universe did not exist until the period of the Enlightenment in western Europe in the 17th century. Western civilization took the French Philosophs’ ideas of “objectivity” of that time and ran with it while the wider world, including non-western civilizations to this day - kinda laugh at the notion.

    Some points are interesting in general but I don't see anything directly applicable in every day life. The book's success seems to be rather due to fame than usefulness :-/

  • @cheblack677
    @cheblack677 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Selling books shows the hope of people to find the solution to their problem in the book. The question is to how many it was really useful. Most lucrative is to sell dreams and hope. This is how the Bible hit the greatest numbers following by the Quran.
