I would suggest either Minikube or K3D. Probably for multiple clusters that are started and stopped often K3D. Both have excellent support for configuration that can be checked into version control. Minikube has an outstanding cli and wide support in the community so it's a very strong choice also.
Thanks - Docker Desktop is for a first run and you can actually see k8s containers running in the docker env. It's also taking 7.4GB of ram on my laptop LMAO
