    So what do you do to lower your ph? Can you still swim if it’s high like that since the water is clear? Thank you for the good demonstration!

      You can add dry acid or muriatic acid to lower the PH. Yes you can still swim with high PH. It will depend on your skin sensitivity, you may experience dry or itchy skin and red eye after swimming in unbalanced water.

    How is yours yellow and red? After adding the drops and shaking it, my water turns clear again. I'm so confused. 😭

      Both colors just turn clear? If that is the case then your liquid reagent is most likely expired or it may have been exposed under the sun so you need to replace it.
      Try to get a cup of water from your faucet and put a small drop of chlorine in it and test the water and see if you get the same result.

    I don't understand how you can tell what level it's at is there a certain shade of each color it's supposed to be or ?I'm so confused please help

      After you add the drops to your pool water, that whole chamber from top to bottom will be the same color. Then you compare your pool water color to the five other colors next to it and see which one is closest. It won’t be an exact reading like you get at the pool store, but it will get you close enough. Hope this helps.

      @@johnwilliams6663 makes sense ..any idea why my cl is coming back orange?

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If chlorine is orange, it means it is too high. That usually happens when you shock the pool. I will not stay in the water with that color.

    Doesn't it go out of spec if you use your finger to cover the top as the oils from your skin would contaminant the samples?

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure but I don't think it would be a big change.

    Whats the level that the chlorine should be at?

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  ปีที่แล้ว

      Between 1 and 5 ppm.

    My phone is good but my chlorine is to high. Like the yellow is dark

    • @diymanual
      @diymanual  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your chlorine is darker than the top color this means your chlorine level is too high. Did you recently added a chlorine or shocked your pool?
