- While with Grand Master Felix Roiles of roilesgear.com at the Dragonfest at it's closing phase on August 26, 2018, we were surprised by a visit from Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje Jr. !
He honored us with a demonstration with Nick Papadakis (volunteered) on just a glimpse of his art Pekiti Tirsia.

I'm Filipino but i never tried this Martial Art.. my father taught me a different kind of martial... Focusing on brutal strike, fast submission, counter attack all kinds of knife and gun attack(close combat).. We practice not using dummy knife or dummy gun.. but the real deal..
My Father said that we will practice with the real thing.. By the time that you will encounter a threat or a criminal you will not be nervous or shock.. you can handle the situation with ease..
All martial arts are effective and dangerous.. It's all about the man perfectly executing every move.

for all the supreme master I watch in TH-cam , showing their deadly Marshall arts move, I can say non of those supreme master can match my neighbor in term of self-defense, during his teenage time and college time he is well known in lahug as ite, his name is always reported in radio station, his life is full of action, fighting, and troubles, he can broke arms , dislocate joint of his deadly fight, two of his unforgettable experience is first when he being known by his landlord of his self defense , the landlord ask to teach his two daughter with techniques but the brother of two ladies refused to be teach except their will be a fight , that brother of two daughters can throw 60klg by one hand , having 6 feet tall, well gym, can slash a barn by one hand with one stroke of an axe ,my neighbor is have only 60klg weight 5feet tall, when fight started he being caught by two hand to throw him into the ceiling. but he drop his body weight lock on the two arms of the big guy and block his feet and drop him into the ground with speed, second his unforgettable experience when he encounter dose pares a scout ranger asking him to have a fight first he refused because of fear , but the scout ranger pursuing to have a fight with him in hand to hand combat , he is in fear because that scout ranger has a record of killing to 5 individuals who attack together to kill him, but later on he give his approval to have empty hand to hand combat, when fight started according to the people around who watch the fight their are 7 counter to counter counts , this fight is deadly because it is combat judo , he manage to unlock 7 attack of the scout ranger, the scout ranger hold his feet to throw him in the air but he manage to lift up the scout ranger by holding the ass of the scout ranger who is about to throw him in the air by holding his feet. the face of the scout ranger was drop to the ground, finally the scout ranger happy with his capability, my neighbor is expert in counter and disarming and anti disarming

Boi... Those spanish names used like espada, daga and etc that are used... Those were adopted names only as the nation were under the Spainish governance. For three centuries under the Spain, spanish had became the main dialect..to the fact that GT Gaje's origin is Cebu, and Cebu is the main place where Spaniards had spread through out the entire Archipelago.. So the term espada, e daga and etc..etc.etc werd used only to rename.

The old man was really good. But, it would be different if his partner counter attacked and was more aggressive. Bruce Lee once said that a wooden board doesn't fight back. And that was what the demonstation was with the old man only doing the attacks himself.

In most encounters (hopefully we will have none), only basic empty hand moves needed as he showed. Standing half-nelson, arm bars, etc. Something most wrestlers, jujitsu, judo, aikido can do.
If you attack you are dead. No more filter in the techniques given here. The kill techniques used to be withheld and given only to a selected few.

Already been tested. Kali is used and built to defend your self and to kill your opponent. Even some of american elite soldiers are trained with kali. As you can see on how precise his movement using knives and sticks. Just imagine if he is not usina a stick and that is a very sharp bolo, for sure someone's head will be rolling on the floor.
