Brokeback Mountain is one of those books that every few months I remember about it and then I just need to sit with my thoughts for an hour or so. It’s definitely one that sticks with you. I’m so glad it worked for you!! Really loved this set of reviews, Olivia Savannah 😊😊
Lessons from our Ancestors looks like *such* a good book! After reading Stolen History I'm much more down for diving back into kids non-fiction because there's so much there to learn!
The Sierra Simone slip in in the beginning 😂😂 Eric LaRocca thinking of a title like that just for the book to overall be bad is diabolical!! Ooooo I'm not a gruesome horror girlie either.
I love hearing about books you DNF because now I think I need to read all the painted stars even though I’ve JUST said I need to stop adding YA to my tbr 😂 new animal is one that I’ve got on my radar too! The last act of love is on my TBr too 😂
Ooh I think comments did something weird and stuck this under the wrong video! But I love that you could find something for your TBR in this unhaul. I think you'll appreciate reading the last act of love. Even though I'm not keeping it and didn't think it was perfect, it's one I'm glad I read 😌
I just finished "The Skin Was Once Mine" and I feel exactly the same and I have the very same favorite story, "Seedling" was so good!!! Why wasn't the rest on the same level?
I really wish the rest of the collection had been! I haven’t heard anyone else talking about it so I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who felt this way…
I need to re read the brown girl series, I loved it so much.. Trespasses is on my shelves and now nervous as I don’t like the cheating trope. I just finished saving neverland and loved it
My hair kind of matches the ends of yours right now! Still watching :) I had no idea the Brokeback Mountain was so slim! I own Looking Glass Sound and now I'm so bummed. I hope I have a different opinion lol. I prefer psychological horror too. Do you have a video where you talk about recs if you're someone who loves psychological horror or dark literary fiction? OMG! I'm buying that kid history book. Thanks so much for sharing it!
Ooh, love that we're matching! Brokeback Mountain is an incredibly quick read hence why I recommend it for something to breeze through. Hopefully you'll like looking glass sound more than me. I don't actually have a psychological horror specific recommendation video... should I make one?
hiii!! it’s been a long long time but i’m back watching some booktube, so good to see u still doing ur thing! enjoyed watching a classic wrap up and hearing ur thoughts on all things, im excited to get back in touch :) oooh would love to hear ur thoughts on the brokeback mountain movie if you’re interested in watching it! haven’t heard much abt the story i wonder how it is reading after watching i love the idea of exploring how the same cultural background can be experienced so differently and thru siblings that’s so interesting!
Hey! Nice to see you around here again and I hope you've been enjoying getting back into booktube again as well ^.^ Do you think you'll make videos again or more so be watching? I have since watched the brokeback mountain film and it was very much the same as the story actually! I liked it too and thought it was well done. Very emotional and subtle.
@ i’d like to get into making, and i’ve filmed a vlog but i found it so hard haha it’s all over the place!! yes i also really enjoy the movie, glad you liked it too!
Yesss so pleased you enjoyed People Person, hoped you would! It makes me really intrigued to see where she'll go next 😊
It was so good! I am really looking forward to a third book of hers and would read it in a heartbeat as well 🥰
Yay for Eve Brown! Lessons from Our Ancestors sounds really good too.
Absolutely adored it! Can’t wait to read more Talia Hibbert. I think you’d like Lessons from our Ancestors ^.^
So pleased you enjoyed People Person! I thought it was brilliant and even though I loved Queenie I felt like People Person was much more accomplished!
I agree! Really loved Queenie but she outdid herself with People Person ✨

Yeah, it’s that emotional pull that it has! Glad to know you read and appreciated it too 🥰
I also really love the Brown sisters series. Definitely one of my faves.
It's so good! I understand why😌
I LOVE People Person, but I always love books about families Just so many great characters.
Always good to hear your thoughts Olivia❤
Ahh so glad you loved People Person! It's such a good read and the characterisation was done so well, I agree 🌺
Oooh Lessons From Our Ancestors is going on my list!
Yess I think you’d love it 💖
I’m glad you loved the brown sister series!! I have to read the last one
I waited on the last one because I didn’t want the series to be over 🥹 it’s just as fabulous as the rest of them!
I have book 1, get a life chloe brown, and think I'll bump it up my TBR. People person sounds fab.
Oh Chloe Brown is so good. I hope you'll be able to get to it sooner rather than later 😍

You’d love Lessons From Our Ancestors so much 😍 It’s honestly so so good!!

I know right?! Such a waste of a great title 😭

I really need to read Deadman Wonderland, it sounds so good!
It's a fun one for sure!

I already want to reread the Brown sisters series as well! Ah, I hope you fair better than me with Trespasses but there is an awful lot of cheating 😞
Ahhh that’s a shame about Looking Glass Sound. It’s been sitting on my shelf for months, so my wait to get to the end has been VERY long 😂
Ah, I have my fingers crossed that I'm the anomaly and that you'll enjoy it a lot more 🤞🏾
Eeek I have Looking Glass Sound on my TBR but it doesn’t sound like it’s for me based on this review. 😬😬😬 Have a great week!
Oh no :'( If you do give it a go I hope you like it, but maybe don't push yourself all the way through if you're not enamoured by page 100!
