Praise GOD for your Gift of Teaching of His Word. Father, examine me and let me be not just a hearer of The word but also a doer! Can't wait for what else God has.
Oh sister Kim those words hit home, as you spoke on James, the Church I used to go, some of the members call themselves Christian and their actions, words and actions spoke differently, I bought to the attention of the Pastor's wife and she made excuses for their behavior. Another time I went to one of the leader for bible guidance, and she stated I can't go to another leader and they did not make me feel comfortable. I was told these days you will see corruption in the Churches pay no mind you come to hear the word of God, I prayed and left the Church, and find other avenues to stay steadfast in God's word for example as yourself through media and reading my devotional. And as many Christians I fall short of grace with quick repentance. Keep bringing us the word of God, stay blessed 🙌🙏
Thanks for making these videos sister. Studying James with you... pray that I won't be carried away from the word but become a doer of God's will. God bless you!
Oh, right on time, God! Sobering, indeed, but praise to Him who shows mercy - may I show the same mercy and love to those I am with daily. A powerful testament of faith even when the world says "What are you doing?" Break me and show me any part of my heart that is not living out my faith in You. it's amazing how much teaching James can fit into a single chapter. I love how he ties faith and works together - one cannot truly "be" without the other. My prayer recently has been for God to open my eyes and heart to truly see the needs around me, and be moved to meet those needs in whatever way I am able. All praise to Him who helps us "see with new eyes"!
"Break me and show me any part of my heart that is not living out my faith in You".....whew! What a powerful prayer, sis. So God-glorifying. I echo that prayer. Amen. Have your way, Lord.
Thank you sister Kim! You have a way of explaining the word which has helped me and I know you have blessed others as well. I’ll keep you in my prayers, I ask that you pray for me too! Be blessed and much love! ❤️💕🙏🏾✝️😘
Those are some hard truths in James, when you realize that you favor one person over another for any reason, it’s a sobering fact to read the Word and realize that the scriptures are talking about YOU and not in a good way! The examples given in this chapter to help us know if our faith is real or just mere words is definitely an eye opener. This chapter alone lets us know why we need to pray without ceasing LOL!! Thank you for those questions at the end to ask the Lord to check our heart and our motives. God bless you Kim!
This chapter alone lets us know why we need to pray without ceasing"....so true, Tikisha! It is indeed sobering, yet I'm so thankful that we can take it all to the Lord in prayer. So glad to be studying this book with you. Blessings to you!
OMG Kim Cash Tate, I praise God for the gift God has given you in teaching the word. This study in definitely THE TRUTH. It has that ouch, ouch effect. Help me Lord!!!
Yes sister......it's better to humble ourselves and come face-to-face with our faults than to hear "depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you." Ouch!!!! Thanks for this reminder!!
My Dear Sister. I have been blessed studying James with you. I am so grateful for the knowledge that God has put inside of you as you teach and instruct us in Gods Word..
I think I see my sin here. My partiality isn't skin based, but on history based. If someone has wronged me in the past, then I have see them through that wrong. I differentiate and categorize people by their actions. I've lessened them in my eyes because of their failings and by the way they've hurt me. I had a co-worker that I used to inwardly roll my eyes at when she came into the room because of her actions. Instead I should inwardly pray and humble myself inside because I've erred greatly too. I don't want someone to be partial to me because of my flaws, so I cannot do that. I need to be wise, but not partial. Whew...boy oh boy...I have to overcome that. thank you Kim for introspection.
This is so good, sis. Such awesome introspection that speaks to us as well. We can feel justified in categorizing people based on wrongs (though the word says love doesn't keep a record of wrongs). Thank you for once again baring your soul to the glory of God and as a help for others.
#Cling in the mornin'! Pure heart, Good works, living the word. I'm open to #cling to God through His word!! #Keepclingin' just finished my study before I get ready for the day.
I am doing a study in james and I use your study to sharpen iron, you are a blessing! I am taking it slow and steady, but I wanted to point out a small error, you quoted 1 Samuel 16:7 not 16:9
You're right, for some reason I don't see a lot of teaching on how to get through trials. Yet the word is so instructive. Don't panic, sis....the Lord is there with you.
I have a question regarding Passages 14-26 (Faith without works is dead) At what point does one stop continuing to help if it’s more so enabling? Does it make an individual bad if they refrain from helping as a means of setting healthy boundaries?
Boundaries are needed. As James 1:5 says, when we need wisdom, ask God. Sometimes we block the lesson God wants the other to learn if we continually bail a person out. By the same token, He may want us to persevere with the situation for our own growth.
I love the teachings but for me the repeating of the guitar music made it hard for me to concentrate .... I thought I’d share that because I love learning with you.
Fran Williams I hate to say it, but I agree. Could only make it half way though the lesson because the repeat was driving me crazy. I'll come back tomorrow to finish. Love your solid teaching, Sister Kim! ❤❤❤
I appreciate that feedback, Fran. Some really like it, but I've gotten a few comments such as this as well. I was in Israel and the first few lessons had already been edited and uploaded. For the last two, the music was lowered.

I panic in trials... seems like a lifetime of trials always made me feel alone, no one showing us how to get through it.
You're right, for some reason I don't see a lot of teaching on how to get through trials. Yet the word is so instructive. Don't panic, sis....the Lord is there with you.
@@kimcashtate Thank you. I needed today. God bless you🙏👐🏽
5:05 - 5: 16 should actually be 1 Samuel 16:7
7:58 Mathew 22: 37-40
Amen

@@Msbmaxey8 yes I see both perspectives. It’s definitely tough
are Cling shirts available for purchase?
12:40, so basically don’t say anything unless you can help? Bc I’m in no position to help anyone, but I want true faith.
What are the words of the new covenant?
HalleluYah…’works’ is like ‘fruit’
Zikomo! (Thank You!) #Kimcashtate
❤
How can I get that shirt 🤗 ( Cling)
😊The shirts are available here: www.zazzle.com/kimcashtate/products
I read KJV an try to follow with you. Usually I can very easily. But 1samuel 16:9 is totally different from what you read today.

Sigh, can we remove James from the Bible? OT studies I can cluck my tongue and say “those Israelites”. James, God says that’s you Brenda.
Right! Sigh. You can’t hide when you’re reading James.
