Oh my goodness, I didn't even realize the English thing until this comment! I think that's part of why I like it so much. Sometimes I feel like they force themselves to conform to some of the kpop standards, but they really shine the most when they produce music that is true to themselves.

luna is like another version of lit, lit is cheerful traditional but luna is like soft, nostalgic traditional! i like that the song did not have hard hitting beats but use soft drums to emphasise parts like dance break, but stayed true to its origins and not go techno all of a sudden, playing more on the melody and story!! also xion's lines??? omg and the parts switch up too, damn everyone's parts suit them alot, and rawoong dance tgt center? we love! oneus nvr disappoints

Fact: Luna wasn't supposed to be a title track but a part of their Oneus Theatre project instead. The song was too good so Oneus convinced RBW to make it their title song. The director was concerned at first because boy group songs are so powerful right now while Luna is sentimental. Glad they made the right choice ^_^ Keep swimming Tomoons! Let's get another win for Luna and continue to admire its beauty
THIS! This may sound a little harsh, but with their comebacks since RTK, I've felt that RBW had been trying to fit Oneus into whatever the "popular" boy group image is at the time of their comebacks (it felt like this especially with 'No Diggity' especially with some of the sentiments the individual members have expressed). This is not to say that they weren't good comebacks! They do amazing regardless, but I feel that Oneus is the most true to themselves when they go against the flow and do what _they_ want. It's when I think they really stand out and shine the brightest. It's one of the things that is attractive about the group image imo, and 'Luna' is a perfect example of how well it works in their favor. I hope this serves to get RBW to open their eyes and give Oneus more credit in knowing what they want to do. (Sorry if this is a bit rambly or incoherent. I am a bit out of it at the moment lmaooo.)

@@maikee734 Oh, yes, don't get me wrong, it _was_ a good start and I think it definitely gave them a huge step up in popularity! It also skyrocketed their sales. It may even have been necessary for them to do that in order to attain their current level of success with Luna. (Though I do also think 'Luna' could have been successful anyway, given how successful 'Lit' was even without their current popularity.) It's just, I remember 'No Diggity' was split, and specifically the Seoho crop-top thing. He said explicitly several times how uncomfortable he was about it, but that RBW "gave him no choice". That's why I said it felt they were kind of getting forced into concepts they weren't entirely happy with, whereas with Luna, as you mentioned, it's a case where _they_ fought for it. They recognized the potential and it got them their first win!

Even as a non-korean, I felt proud watching this MV. It’s so rare for kpop groups to showcase their historical roots, let alone incorporate it in their songs. I think it's down to the competition and how many groups there are from "kind of big" companies. No one is ensured attention or success unless you're from the big 4, usually groups get some attention from casual listeners in their debut year and then fade out to relying solely on their fanbase. RBW really isn't that "big" even though mamamoo is one of the top 3rd gen ggs coz most of mamamoo's fandom is casual listeners/gp (especially back in 2019 when oneus debuted) who aren't even guaranteed to support mamamoo's every release, let alone their juniors. I wish they would get more attention, their discography is so amazing. Their fandom is growing with every release though and Blood Moon was a huge success for them so I think they don't have anything to be worried about.
True, their talent and versatility is unmatched. However they need better international promotions. They did it dirty with Mamamoo by not giving them international promotions or world tours. Hope they don't do that with Oneus. Their talent can't go wasted :(

luna is like another version of lit, lit is cheerful traditional but luna is like soft, nostalgic traditional! i like that the song did not have hard hitting beats but use soft drums to emphasise parts like dance break, but stayed true to its origins and not go techno all of a sudden, playing more on the melody and story!! also xion's lines??? omg and the parts switch up too, damn everyone's parts suit them alot, and rawoong dance tgt center? we love! oneus nvr disappoints

Fact: Luna wasn't supposed to be a title track but a part of their Oneus Theatre project instead. The song was too good so Oneus convinced RBW to make it their title song. The director was concerned at first because boy group songs are so powerful right now while Luna is sentimental. Glad they made the right choice ^_^

THIS! This may sound a little harsh, but with their comebacks since RTK, I've felt that RBW had been trying to fit Oneus into whatever the "popular" boy group image is at the time of their comebacks (it felt like this especially with 'No Diggity' especially with some of the sentiments the individual members have expressed). This is not to say that they weren't good comebacks! They do amazing regardless, but I feel that Oneus is the most true to themselves when they go against the flow and do what _they_ want. It's when I think they really stand out and shine the brightest. It's one of the things that is attractive about the group image imo, and 'Luna' is a perfect example of how well it works in their favor. I hope this serves to get RBW to open their eyes and give Oneus more credit in knowing what they want to do.
(Sorry if this is a bit rambly or incoherent. I am a bit out of it at the moment lmaooo.)

But yeah, I get what you mean since the members were hesitant about No Diggity initially.
@@maikee734 Oh, yes, don't get me wrong, it _was_ a good start and I think it definitely gave them a huge step up in popularity! It also skyrocketed their sales. It may even have been necessary for them to do that in order to attain their current level of success with Luna. (Though I do also think 'Luna' could have been successful anyway, given how successful 'Lit' was even without their current popularity.)
It's just, I remember 'No Diggity' was split, and specifically the Seoho crop-top thing. He said explicitly several times how uncomfortable he was about it, but that RBW "gave him no choice". That's why I said it felt they were kind of getting forced into concepts they weren't entirely happy with, whereas with Luna, as you mentioned, it's a case where _they_ fought for it. They recognized the potential and it got them their first win!

The fact that this entire song contains so many traditional elements is so great: traditional imagery in the MV, hanboks, no English in the lyrics and the usage of traditional speech. Even the dance contains some elements of traditional Korean dance. I love when modern Eastern artists tap into their history. Magnificent. Not a ToMoon but I love this!!

Even as a non-korean, I felt proud watching this MV. It’s so rare for kpop groups to showcase their historical roots, let alone incorporate it in their songs. The Jade Emperor relegated the Flower God to a flower that could only bloom for one single moment in her life and prevented her from seeing her lover again.
He also sent the young boy to a faraway mountain to become a monk, so that he would forget his loved one.
However, the Flower God never forgot the young boy.
She knew that he would go up the mountain to collect spring dew every year in the late spring and make tea for the Buddha, so she chose to bloom in the late spring, hoping to see her lover for one more time.
Sorrowfully, when spring comes, the graceful flowers bloomed but the young boy didn't recognize her.
She was short-lived, only for him.
This was the story of a girl that wanted to see the lover that had already forgotten her for one more time.
The flower language of 月下美人 conveyed the means of yearning for love and dedicating a lifetime for it.

So we all confirm Luna has THE BEST chorus in kpop so far. Not a question. It's nothing similar to what I've heard before in a kpop song. It's nostalgic, magical, kinda makes you want to go back in time and immerses you to a whole different world. I don't know how they did it but congratulations to the team behind this masterpiece and the boys. I can't stop listening to it. I really hope it can convince the casual listeners out there that this group is pure gold and this song deserves a win. Seoho was right when he said it's really beautiful TuT.

Really don't understand why they are soo underrated, they are from a kind of big company, they produce and write ( leedo and ravn ) their own songs, they are amazing rappers, dancers and vocalists, they really deserve so much more from the public.

I think it's down to the competition and how many groups there are from "kind of big" companies. No one is ensured attention or success unless you're from the big 4, usually groups get some attention from casual listeners in their debut year and then fade out to relying solely on their fanbase. RBW really isn't that "big" even though mamamoo is one of the top 3rd gen ggs coz most of mamamoo's fandom is casual listeners/gp (especially back in 2019 when oneus debuted) who aren't even guaranteed to support mamamoo's every release, let alone their juniors.
I wish they would get more attention, their discography is so amazing. Their fandom is growing with every release though and Blood Moon was a huge success for them so I think they don't have anything to be worried about.
True, their talent and versatility is unmatched. However they need better international promotions. They did it dirty with Mamamoo by not giving them international promotions or world tours. Hope they don't do that with Oneus. Their talent can't go wasted :(
