If you make it early all the water runs out of the cucumber and makes it really messy.
Try not to make videos with that annoying echo, and don't keep waffelling on, just get on with it. i switched off after about 1 minute.

It will be largely because it is not so much a cookery demonstration, as an advert for a brand (ASDA) - he has to sell the brand. It's scripted.
