Paddle boarding Down there River Severn from Welshpool to Shrewsbury P1

My first overnighter trip on my Paddle board with Bailey 🐶
Camped at the Green Dragon just out side of Welshpool @ Buttington bridge.
After seeing up the tent I drove to Shrewsbury & parked the car at the Frankwell carpark next to the river, then jumped the train back to Welshpool.
From there train station it was a nice walk down the Montgomery canal back to the Pub.
The campsite was good, but there road is very busy so not the quietest as the traffic continues through the night.
The next morning it was a short walk to the river, the launch point was just below the bridge, Offa's dyke footpath.
the river wasn't that high due to the recent dry spell, so some sections were shallow with slight rapids which broke up the trip, there were also a couple of downed trees I had to navigate past.
There is also a Weir at Llandrinio bridge, which I walked over due to the height of the river, I think it is possible to pull out on the RHS before the bridge, but it does belong to the Boat House campsite.
after a few more miles the River Vyrnwy joins the Severn and it's not far too Buckley farm campsite, which has its own slipway.
The campsite it's nice and quiet with decent facilities, the toilet & showers are in a converted static near the farm house, it also has a small kitchen & fridge.
