Fun fact: Toby confirmed the reason that the monster souls are white was for the sake of simplicity. Monsters actually have different soul colors just like humans, but Toby didn’t bother putting in the colors for the sake of preventing confusion and keeping the game simple.
See, but thats the _real_ answer. What's the lore answer? Im pretty sure I heard somewhere that _lore-wise_ , monster souls are white because they're usually pretty balanced between all traits, and that they're made of magic. Us flesh and blood humans, dependent on one trait or the other, are pretty much always gonna have a strongly colored soul.
I don’t see why it would be the strongest soul .-. The brighter the soul, the better the human, the darker the soul, the worse the human is(In a good-bad person way.). It has nothing to do with strength.
That Stranger no. Determination is strongest in the red ones, so it’s strong enough to be the core trait. Just because you have a trait doesn’t make it your core one, that one’s the strongest
@Jadon O'Neal sorry i think i accidentally searched for synonyms instead of antonyms i’ll change it. also i never explicitly called them negative, just opposite although i guess they work when discussing positive traits
@@Jane-75-80 Hey I'm kinda late, but the determination of humans in souls other than Frisk's isn't enough to allow them to respawn and save, you see, the determination in most human souls is only enough to allow the human souls to exist after death even if they're not conscious, their soul never dies. However, Frisk has much more determination than any human and that's why they have the power to reset. And that's how Flowey used to be before Frisk came to the underground since the barrier is magic, it basically makes it so that there's two separate realms, and Frisk is only able to reset and save if they are the most determined, people or things with a lot of determination can reset and save, like Flowey, but only if they are the most determined person. And since the other fallen humans didn't have the red soul of Determination, they could not reset or save, so they died like normal humans, enough determination allows souls to exist after death, but even more determination allows a person to refuse to die. That's why monster souls disappear after death, they don't have enough determination.
You see a color by light bouncing off. For example, a red apple is every color but red. The red light bounces of flat and into our eye. Therefore black is all colors but we can’t see them. Edit: spelling
3:40 There’s nothing brave or patient about geocide??? YES THERE IS You have to be *_brave_* to stand up to almost every single monster in the game And you have to be *_patient_* to keep walking around and farming the hell out of the monsters until the kill counter exhausts (basically until you have killed the required amount of monsters!!!
The Poke Gamer technically the brave thing about genocide route is having to face Undyne and Sans and the ending, any and every thing else you fight is effortlessly killed cause you're just preying on the weak if it isn't a boss
[Pheonix Wright] TAKE THAT! However, your points cancel out the other trait once given enough thought! ♫Death Report♫ Farming means increasing your stats, which is a direct reflection of your fear of being defeated! In facing each and every monster without giving them a chance to even speak, you show that you will waste not a second longer than required to obliterate the Underground!
@@owlfam And it's not bravery; It's fear, since grinding to gain LV shows that you're afraid of being defeated by stronger opponents, and decide to kill anything, even those who you can spare in the first turn.
I think that the red soul represents Independence 1. It is shown that in the red soul battling mode, you can freely move to dodge attacks, unlike other souls relying on certain concepts, such as purple relying on three lines 2. At the beginning of the ruins, you can see Toriel tests our INDEPENDENCE 3. Unlike the other souls, Frisk and Chara’s independent choice has greatly affected the world of Undertale
@@TheTrueXaver I'd imagine that the red trait affects all the other soul types making them a bit more independent than usual so if a perseverance soul used yellow soul mode they would be restricted to the 3 lines but would be able to shoot the pew pew bullet thing or integrity would have gravity ext.
TheBlueSoulOfIntegrity 3 minutes ago In my books there is three souls of black 1st is *Hate* which is not really a soul but more a parasite that pretends to be a soul it takes over your body and drains you then moves on 2nd is *Chaos* is a true soul that can happen to anyone with a soul that is not determination e.g Integrity, Patience, perseverance, 3rd and most powerful is *Entropy* which is fanta black it is the most powerful soul and can only happen to someone with a determination who is evil REPLY
2:22 notice how DETERMINATION is drawn from these seven soul traits. Red likely means raw DETERMINATION. It's the most powerful type of determination because it has no real reason behind it other than to finish what they started. As said by Sans, "Not out of any need for good or evil, but rather because you can, you 'have to'." In other words, raw determination. Also known as Determination the soul trait. The soul trait that appears when DETERMINATION gets strong to a certain point to gain a soul trait, but with raw determination surpassing the determination drawn from the six other traits. The trait "Determination." That's what I believe it to be.
yes it tru determmination is strong and have no limits but we realise in glitchtale we needed the six souls in asriel and red sul in chara to defeat betty/hate with the black/pink soul
@@justahumblepeasant691 well the thing is : when a soul is absorbed by a monster , the soul loses it's magical trait altogether . Plus , in order for that to work , the soul has to shatter completly and the host has to have the willpower to not die and keep going , but chara CHOSE to die and let go of life instead of wanting to "continue" and willingly let asriel absorb there soul to execute their plan so that's another reason
I just thought of something............ You know some the bosses and mini bosses turn your soul a different colour? Sans turns you eletric blue, Muffet turns you purple etc... maybe the colour of the soul tells us who killed who, like the purple one ment Muffet killed them, eletric blue ment sans killed them etc. But this is just a theory, I don't care if I'm wrong I just wanted to put my thoughts out.
I really can't imagine Papyrus killing someone, at least on purpose, and he turns your soul blue. He's also never met a human before. It's a good theory but Papyrus makes it difficult to believe. The rest, like Muffett and Sans, I could believe.
Elfin Dreamer He might’ve not known it was a human and could’ve done it for self defense if the human attacked. The other monsters could just play it off and tell him it was some crazy monster on the loose and that it was alright.
Thought: Red represents determination, but a sepperate kind of determination. Determination has two meanings: the one we all know which is to keep going and persist. But then theres the version that means to determine something, and not nessicarily to act on it. Frisks ball game the second time you get the red options says 'Try as you might, you continue to be yourself', as if they've already determined who they are. Food for thought but in my personal opinion determination as a trait can still apply to the red soul with either meaning used.
This is the best red=determanation head canon out there since it actualiy makes some sense not just crappy control+c control+v red is dt bc of saves theory
or to save them from the stupidity of humans and the fact humans are even racist towards our own race, not just theirs to the point of starting wars among ourselves. Thus, doing genocide in the Underground is 'sparing' them from the humans.
@@ery-nightcore3491 i mean honestly tho- and I dont want sweet innocent monsters like Paps to be corrupted by humanity and how dumb we can be as a race sometimes- least thats what i think. And thats probs why chara hated humanity too-
@@irinadrozman8259 you don’t need to express “your soul” that’s what cringe, if you have a game or something involving that, then keep it there, otherwise people will think it’s cringe I had a game with my friend a while back where My soul was kindness but now I think it’s cringe
Here are the lighter versions of souls I have come up with. Bravery: courage Justice: Fairness Kindness: Protection Patience: Open mindedness Integrity: Faithfulness Perseverance: stubbornness Determination:will power Here are the darker versions I have Bravery:ignorance Justice:wrath Kindness:overbarence Patience:apathy Integrity: arrogance Perseverance:self destruction (think about it) Determination:single mindedness Hope you like these. For some of these you have to think about it a lot but if you finally get it then it may seem obvious.
Self destruction?!! .. oh my, that's really make sense!! People with self destruction wouldn't care about themselves to reach their goals, it's about matter of getting 'it' or not...
I dunno if the game goes into it, but it seems to be the accepted norm that Frisk and Chara had an obtuse amount of Determination, unlike everyone else. That could be why their souls are red, is because red is the base color of DT but it only shows if it is the only trait in enormous amount, of an unusually high amount. But that is what seems to be the accepted excuse for the red soul, and there aren't many things that argue for or against that particular theory...just thought I'd share my thoughts on this.
Well, possibly red simply means the person can control time. Red is the color for the aspect of TIME in Homestuck, which was a big inspiration for areas, enemies and music in Undertale as well. It doesn't necessarily have to do with immortality. That's why Chara died despite having a red SOUL. Frisk's "health bar" however turns red if they get injured. When they die it's completely red and they travel back in time to prevent their death.
The games manual states that the SAVE points are actually the manifestation of one's determination, so it can't be a SOUL trait. It's also actually implied that _all_ the humans could reset and load, so it can't be time travel. (There's also absolutely no implication that Frisk/Chara have a special amount of determination)
My soul color is Red:Determination - presses save button - I just saved in the comments section so that means I should come back here when I go to this video
5:56 frisk has a brown outline.. brown looks like a really dark, chocolateish red...maybe red means a mix of all of them? edit:i was checking the wiki to find where it says the traits of all the souls and the 13th source says ""Bravery. Justice. Integrity. Kindness. Perseverance. Patience. Using these, you were able to win at "Ball Game." - Achieving the Red Flag in the Ball Game. (image)" so i think it IS a mixture, snce you needed all of the traits to get the R E D flag, all traits = red, makes sense edit 2:also red is the start and end of the color bs so,,, yea.. and red is commonly associated with edgy stuff, edgy = dark, dark stuff = black black = every color, makes even more sense
Honestly this is my favorite Undertale theory, and I would love to see this expanded upon in an Undertale sequel. Maybe even a personality quiz at the start could determine your soul color and how your soul acts (blue has gravity, yellow can shoot, etc)
I think that a brown soul would be a 'normal' person, who doesn't really show a lot of just one trait, they just show the right amount of every trait. And a rainbow soul would be someone who outshines at all the traits, and shows an extraordinary amount of each trait. Or maybe a rainbow soul is when you combine different souls with your own. Anyways, I like to think that I would be a greenish-brown, which puts kindness and perservrence together, but unfortunately, I don't know what color forgetfulness would be, but if I knew, then I would definitely have that color soul.
The Soul Modes correspond to the Seven Deadly Sins as well as their associated virtues. For example: Purple: GREED. Associated with Muffet Yellow: PRIDE. Associated with Mettaton Green: WRATH. Associated with Undyne Orange: SLOTH. Most closely Associated with Alphys Blue: ENVY. Blue and Light Blue are both associated with the skeleton brothers, but I think the dark blue more likely goes with Papyrus. Light Blue: GLUTTONY. Again, both of these colors are associated with the skeletons, but it seems more likely that Light Blue is what goes with Sans. Red: LUST. Associated with Frisk, a no holds barred flirting machine with anything that moves.
Yea but not all of the match well. But before considering who would fall under the deadly sins you have to consider what is their counter part. For greed it is charity, pride's is humility, sloth's is diligence, lust's is chasity, envy's is kindness, wrath's is patience, and gluttony's is temperance. So 2 out of 7 is already solved. But the issue is that none of the soul colors don't match up with the monster that corresponds with the soul colors. In other words the monsters sins don't match with the attacks they use to a human's soul. Now, here's what begs the question. Which monster represents the deadly sins? Sloth= Sans, since he is lazy and has a sense of nihilism Greed= Muffet, she attacks frisk because they didn't buy anything from the bake sale Pride=Mettaton, due to egocentric tendencies Envy= Flowey, since he was desperate to try different things even at the cost others well-being and was willing to kill frisk in order to have that power back. Lust= Papyrus, he desires for respect from others and was willing to risk someone else's well being in order to get it. Wrath=Undyne, because of her relentlessness of trying to capture the human Gluttony= Asgore, he wants obtain 7 souls in order to destroy mankind, but just one soul will provide enough strength to give him god like powers.
Another thing I've realized: none of the Dreemurrs use soul modes. Every other major boss (and even one of the minor bosses) uses a soul mode besides red, but not Toriel, Asgore, or Asriel. Coincidence?
I thought these were what they were: RED: Determination - Greed Chara appears to have a greed for power - you know, megalomania ORANGE: Bravery - Wrath Bravery always moves, trying to look powerful, hence why Doggo killed it. YELLOW: Justice - Pride No description. GREEN: Kindness - Gluttony Kind people have a lot to do with food. CYAN: Patience - Sloth Patient people don't really like to move. They just sit there, hoping for the best, hence why Froggit killed it. BLUE: Integrity - Lust So far, Integrity appears to be the only trait that specifically has a female person in it, except for Fear. PURPLE: Perserverance - Envy No description. PINK: Fear - Safety If everyone was completely fearless, they'd all be dead, and most likely have to be forgetful. Deoxyribonucleic Acid SO wants people to stay alive so it can thrive. A bit greedy, if you ask me. That's why robots are fearless. They don't feel pain, because they're manmade out of metal and metal doesn't try any hard to stay alive, so robots can reprogram themselves and do whatever they like. But...I don't have a clue why Mecha Sonic and Skell Ezuom try and take over everything. Once they've finished, they can't do anything more. They'll be alone forEVER!!! What's the point? GREY: Pessimism - Realism People who are kind of hopeless have given up. Sans actually has Realism, because he knows that the universe will eventually come to an end, either by a cosmocalypse or a reset, and all his hard work will be for nothing. That's why he's lazy. Also, that's probably why he has Patience. BLACK: Hate - Megalomania? Hate seems to try to thrive, feed off Determination and become really powerful. If Chara's plan was simply to become the most powerful of all beings, didn't they already have Hate to begin with? Also, removal of Hate would support everyone's controversy of how Chara is kind of innocent. You know, GT makes more and more sense...only in a few ways. The rest of it was kind of miscalculated. WHITE: Love - Selflessness/Deoxyribonucleic Acid(?) Self-explanatory.
Pure red could mean raw Determination, meaning they're focused on what they want to do. You could easily flip from CMY to RGB and get the results from Undertale
nation hicks actually yeah this seems to make a lot of sense to me cuz none of the other fallen children really did had that power did they? I used to think chara gave that power to frisk but nah nevermind that another story 😄😄😄
Paige Schewe True, because we give the character we play as a reason to continue on and not give up. Frisk and Chara are basically toys in our hands. Of course, that changes once you do Genocide and then Chara takes control over Frisk...But even then, we still have some control over Frisk.
I think patience and justice on sans’ eye represents that he knew you were genocidal from snowdin, which is where justice comes in, and patience represents how sans had patience for you to change.
before i didnt even watch this and i had ideas that darker versions of the human soul traits could mean it being more negative... for no reason whatsoever just because it would work somehow just- sigH
I've had it up to here with people thinking red is the soul of determination. Red is never said to be the soul of determination, and the word "determination" is only ever associated with the color yellow (examples: Flowey's petals, SAVE points, the color the text turns after a successful file save.) Additionally, determination is referred to in yellow in the True Lab, and the fact that the asterisk before it is also yellow indicates that it isn't for emphasis. If anything, the red soul's trait is much more likely being true to one's self, judging by how the red soul is referred to throughout the game.
Probably brown based on this theory. Animals are made of physical matter not magic like monsters so they probably have some determination and a whole bunch of other traits nessesary for survival so basically a human soul but a bit different. They probably wouldn’t have traits like justice or integrity tho
What about the soul from the Mew Mew fight? It has a combination of half the patience soul and half the determination soul. Does that mean that we can also have "half souls"? (Or were those colors just chosen because they match the Switch Joycon's colors?)
Light owns Darkness, Darkness owns Light, chasing each other to the very end. Btw that’s just Yin-Yang Bomb from TV Tropes. I think that the “Twin” Soul represents Duality. Duality, /d(y)oo’alade/: an instance of opposition or contrast between two concepts or aspects of something, a dualism; the quality or condition of being dual. I don’t know, I’d say the personality of Mad Dummy and the appearance of Mew Mew are pretty much exact opposites.
Mad Mew Mew Fight Requires Patience, and you need Perseverance to continue, since it is actually kinda hard, and you of course, need determination to even do the boss in the first place, since it is unnecessary.
I'm a teal soul, mix of Justice, Bravery, and Integrity and I would be called Assertiveness, im positive and confident. I'm aware im a worthy person with my own special gifts. I think for myself and express my own ideas. I know what I stand for and what I dont stand for. I expect respect.
Heh, I get the joke. But to me it would make sense if it were inbetween red & magenta, but thats just colorwise. I'd say the trait would actually be dark orange.
**is a Glitchtale fan and knows that Camila made pink mean fear but tries to come up with an idea anyway** Weeeeeeell, the more white a soul became, the more monster-like the person would get. If Underlab was correct about red meaning Purpose, then pink would likely mean a more monster-like version of Purpose and/or Better Purpose instead of Fear. HOWEVER, another idea could be a mix of Perseverance and Bravery because I mixed them with a digital art app on my iPad and it created pink, which could mean something like Challenger or Confidence. But who needs logic in Glitchtale? Glitchtale is glitched owo
I've actually thought about different soul colors and here's my opinion on what traits they should be. White- Love Black- Hate Pink- Confidence Brown- Annoyence That's actually all I have..* Facepalm*
@@Kai_Patton_Lilith quick explanation: originaly, fear is dark Orange, as Agate made bravery fear, and then, with another spell, she inverted her soul to make a Bête noire, leaving light Pink as a result.
I would have a silver soul that would represent emotion and my undertale oc has this soul. My Ocs name is Danny the Soul Bender and technically has two souls making him half human half monster.
I know I'm not a Patreon, so I probably won't get noticed with this idea, but could you make a discussion/theory video about the possible integration of other video game elements into the game's lore? We all know that saving and resetting are normally just game mechanics, but in Undertale, they're very much a part of the game's lore. The player/Frisk is actually resetting time in the game's world. So what about other video game elements like the battle system or the text boxes the characters speak in? For example, how is Asgore able to smash the MERCY option (or Omega Flowey just destroying the battle screen completely), or how are Mettaton's words able to be bombs if they are simply game features? (Of course, these examples could just be 4th wall breaks, but what if they're not?) I don't recall any specific information in the game saying that any of the other elements are in the lore like SAVING is, but maybe there are. Considering the fandom, there probably is already a headcanon/AU that does something with this, but I'm just not bothered to look it up.
I kinda agree with you at this point. Each game might have one thing similar with each other, typically Splatoon only having a 'neutral' or 'genocide' route, how you are trapped in this place *underground* in Bendy and the Ink Machine and *under* water in Little nightmares. ( two of my favourite horror games) So, you pretty much have the idea.
An interesting consequence of this idea is the possibility of mixing traits of complementary colors (like yellow (justice) and blue (Integrity)). By color logic, this would produce a neutral color (like gray or brown), so how would this work with treats? Here are all the complementary colors (of the confirmed soul colors): Blue (Integrity)\ Yellow (Justice); Green (Kindness)\ Purple/Magenta (Perseverance); Red (Purpose/Determination)\ Cyan (patients). While I can see how patience could be the opposite of purpose/determination, I don’t see how kindness and perseverance are opposites, and justice and integrity sound like practical synonyms.
I think you have your complimentary colors mixed up Green is the opposite of red Blue the opposite of orange Yellow is the opposite of purple And cyan will probably be lumped in with blue
The RYB opposites seem to match much more closely than RGB: Cyan (patience) / Orange (bravery) Purple (perseverance) / Yellow (justice) Green (kindness) / Red (determination) With the caveat that opposites aren't incompatible so much as the least related.
But wait you said red souls can’t be determination because all humans have determination but what if you don’t like what if kind but not determined or what if your only determined what happens then?
when I was a younger undertale fan I always said that chara's soul is L.O.V.E. of- and wait that makes sence whether it's love for someone or of death of others OMG THEORY STARTED!!! edit: I also thought that chara's soul was red that was bleeding black ooz
Whelp, here's all the colors you need to know Red Orange Red-Orange Yellow Orange-Yellow Green Green-Yellow Blue Turquoise Purple Pink Black Brown Gray White
All this talk of traits mix it with other traits to get traits that are somewhere in between those traits, all reminds me of allport’s Theory of personality. If you don’t know what that is I recommend you look it up, it’s quite interesting.
Its red for Determination because it has more DETERMINATION than other humans...Meaning you can come back after death and control timelines and create new ones
Like, we got Swoon.exe, which in Undertale, it is Papyrus's date, Mimi, which is Muffet with a hint of Mettaton, and Count Bleck, which, it can be a stretch, kind of resembles a Madjik (I might be spelling that guy's name wrong).
I've got a question is there only one pocket of monsters underground because at the start of the game it says the monsters where sealed underground it didn't say they were sealed under Mount ebot so maybe there is more monsters in different places underground
I believe that Chara’s soul is gone and they’re not at peace because they never got to say goodbye to their best friend. A being cannot rest with unfinished business.
Whilst I do think there are other soul colours, I think that they can only mean good things; a bad thing'd be a black soul with an coloured outlying, based on whatever it's the opposite of - for example, a yellow outline'd be oppression. In addition, I think whilst having similar colours may indicate some relationship, it doesn't mean that they're just a mix.
Pixel Breaker That makes sense, if you assume that the person with say, a green soul, were that colour first, but were somehow corrupted into their opposites, therefore making the Kind person the embodiment of unkindness.
Pixel Breaker you just accidentally wrote a peace treaty between me and Camila Cuevas, even though she is WAY too evil to accept any theories, HOWEVER i will ATTEMPT to show this to her by using CTRL+ C and CTRL+ V and if she at least TOLERATES this theory then i will PERSONALLY thank you by subscribing to you!
Sean Moore i already did show Camila Cuevas the theory AND credit pixel breaker, sadly she still has yet to prove whether she is a good human being who allows people to have their own beliefs or if she ACTUALLY IS THE SPAWN OF SATAN LIKE I'VE KNOWN ALL ALONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My soul colour would be green of course! Kindness! That’s why I’ve never done genocide...! Only Pacifist... over... and over... I bring justice to all with a fair decision! And i-if someone needs me to wait for something, ok! I’m patient!
I've only ever played the game once, and I completed Pacifist Route. I was too KIND to kill someone who had done nothing wrong, or got fucked over by the world. But I was PATIENT enough to get everything before the final cutscene. The backtracking was grueling, but I PERSEVERED. I died a dozen times to Asriel, but I was way too DETERMINED to let that stop me. I have a CHAOS EMERALD Soul. Yup, it actually turned into a Chaos Emerald, lol. Awesome, right. 😁😁😁😁😁
Bonnet [FNAF: SL - kind - crush: ???] flowey told us that doing it again is depriving the monsters of their happy lives. It’s true. You’re robbing them of a good life so you can be the arrogant hero.
The soul colors play a bigger part in Undertale when you fight boss monsters. Almost every boss turns your soul into a different color and the purpose of that color provides a glimpse to how you interact with them and complete a Pacifist run. *spoilers below btw* The first real boss we met is Papyrus, who, turns your soul royal blue. The color of integrity. Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; a moral uprightness. When you fight him it's a test of your own integrity. Do you kill this character that has shown you nothing but kindness? or is your heart full of LV? the choice you make when fighting Papyrus will affect the outcome of the entire game. Regardless of your choice; Papyrus will NEVER kill you. The next boss is Undyne who turns your soul green. The color of Kindness. It's strange at first that the loud and brash Undyne turns your heart to green, but kindness is in fact how you defeat/befriend her. Through an act of kindness you can show her mercy and she in turn becomes your friend. Then there is Muffet who turns your soul the purple of perseverance. It is the quality of doing something despite the difficulty or delay in achieving success. Muffet is HARD to beat without the spider donut, but with some perseverance you can be spared by her. Mettaton and Dr. Alphys both are the yellow of justice. This one is strange since 'justice' isn't the first word that comes to mind when meeting Mettaton. But, then I realized it's not justice for you it's justice for them! I don't' think Mettaton realized just how much he was loved by the other monsters. He has the perfect body, the perfect job, but he breaks down when he gets all these calls from fans confessing adoration for him. His diary tells us he abandoned his family to become a star, and he didn't truly realize what he did wrong until that moment. Dr. Alphys is a bit obvious, she's terrified of people finding out the truth about what she did to those other monsters. Through our actions we can get justice for Amalgamates who can now return to their families, and help Alphys confront her fears. After all, Justice isn't just about dishing out punishments to the guilty; it's also about coming to realize what is truly important. The only color we don't really see is orange. I don't really know why. Orange does make a grand appearance in Asgore's fight but other monsters use orange attacks as well. So I'm not sure? I do know that If you are a naughty child, and do a Genocide run; you won't see the blue of integrity, light blue of patience, or the yellow of justice until you fight Sans. Which is still a test of your own morality. Sans is a strange character that remembers everything you've ever done in the game, and judges you for it. He knows you know right from wrong, but he also knows you are too determined to stop. So, he used patience to fight you with justice as his cause. Sans will sit there forever if he has to (or until you get good enough to beat him) to keep you from reaching the King. Though, turns out he was right all along, huh? sorry for the essay comment!! Just been thinking a lot about this....
I often say I am a mixture of each main soul color due to having a rough exterior towards trouble makers so bravery and justice, While I have a realistic mind set like determination, perseverance. Yet I maintain a friendly mindset towards others just like kindness, integrity and patience
I Don't know why do i have this theory._. I think six souls are also represent Player's Soul Trait Justice - To teach a lesson to the monster for what they did! (Neutral/Pacifist) Kindness - You show Kindness to all monster so they can be happy and free from underground or you kill the monster for their own good (you know that killer has their own reason to Kill).. but mostly Kindness can protect monster from humanity in peacefully way! (Pacifist/Genocide) Perseverance - You just want to achieve the ending even you're trapped you still find a way then achieve "what" you want! (Pacifist/Genocide/Neutral) Integrity - You know what have to do, you know when to STOP fight, you know when to STOP mercy , but you stay true of YOURSELF and be responsible for what you did, You be honest to people or be honest to yourself! (Neutral/Pacisift) Bravery - Looks like you a little bit rush when playing this game, You don't care about the consequence YOU still going Forward no matter what, you fight the monster but you decided not to kill them, y u just wanted a fair fight! You are brave to spare them yet you're brave to kill them (Neutral/Genocide/Pacisift) Patience - You waited with patient ,You play this game with PATIENCE, you wait for the right answer for what have to do... But also you want to save monster right? (Pacisift/Neutral/Genocide) Determination - (I don't know what actually DETERMINATION mean so i can't explain it :'( sorry) DC

Emtey is when you are drinking out of the glass, you empty it. Although he could have meant empty and I'm just making science of a misspelled word. Welp Rip me.
i am whatever colour laziness is lol which one is patience? im like.... that colour mixed with another colour. bravery? justice? maybe determination? who knows. not me
If red isn't determination, then maybe it is Love. You are told at the end of a neutral run (but didn't kill anyone) that LOVE means level of violence, but that you didn't gain any of it, instead you gained what love would mean in real life. Also, red hearts generally mean love in real life as well, whether for valentines day or anything of the sorts. This applies to Chara in a genocide run because chara gains LOVE as in level of violence, obviously, so I think this is the most logical possibility.
8:13 this got me thinking, what if other humans without the 7 "main" souls fell down but, since their souls werent as powerful, those humans died from the fall? and thats why theres only the most "powerful" souls used to shatter the barrier also it might be that the souls of the humans who created the barrier were the same type as the "main" ones, and only those 7 fell down because they were somehow drawn to the barrier because it was partially made with their soul type. and maybe no two of the same soul type fell down because one was already being stored by asgore to shatter the barrier (other than chara but their soul wasnt put in a container)
With light, if you combine all colors, you get white, not brown. This has interesting implications in terms of monster souls and what they embody, besides just 'magic'. Brown is actually an incredibly dark shade of orange, so maybe it would actually have something to do with bravery? Great video, by the way!
I’m vermilion, apparently. It’s red + orange. When I truly want something to get done, it WILL get done. The only thing is, I have to want it really bad. Other than my determination, I would be brave, but maybe a little darker orange, to balance out the lighter red that results in my complete lack of DT other than when I really want something to get done
Underlab I said this on your last video but what's the deal with Mettaton? He's a robot with a PINK soul (if I'm correct) so why didn't they use his soul?
Ilianna McCaskill it's simply a pink robot core in a shape of a soul, considering the fact that the game says so when you check mettaton ex and also the fact that he can attack with it
Well, my combination... It could be "naive" trait... A combination of dark green and dark purple, meaning being too kind and stubborn About the fact of magic you meant... I think it's true, like... Every soul aspect has its power: Red - Determination, leading to the Frisk's abilities Yellow - Justice, magic bullets Green - Kindness, a magic shield protecting from any projectiles and attacks Blue - Integrity, [theory] here, soul can synchronize with user's body giving him super jumps Purple - Perserverance, [theory] it is able for the owner to create some purple vines to use them for getting further to the places where you thought is unable to go
What soul color do you think you have? Try and work out a single trait that best defines you, then figure out where it fits on the color spectrum! I'd be gold, like Mettaton, of course... what do you mean that isn't an option?

Fun fact: Toby confirmed the reason that the monster souls are white was for the sake of simplicity. Monsters actually have different soul colors just like humans, but Toby didn’t bother putting in the colors for the sake of preventing confusion and keeping the game simple.
Ya got a source on that mate ?
Tho i am willing to believe that nonthelless
So that means... humans can have white souls

Every human soul has determination but, Determination is strongest in red souls... making there core trait determination.

The brighter the soul, the better the human, the darker the soul, the worse the human is(In a good-bad person way.). It has nothing to do with strength.

Since they died they don't have as much as frisk, probably die about 10-20 times then they die permanently
@@Jane-75-80 or die to disease or something that they can't come back from/would just instantly re-kill them
@@gameingtothemax6266 I mean that could be true but Asgore killed every human there
@@Jane-75-80 Hey I'm kinda late, but the determination of humans in souls other than Frisk's isn't enough to allow them to respawn and save, you see, the determination in most human souls is only enough to allow the human souls to exist after death even if they're not conscious, their soul never dies.

The electric blue soul died in Waterfall, because the attacks there are harder to dodge near the bottom (take Aaron, for example).

The faith soul fits me, and coincidentally, I always imagined myself having a purple undertale soul.

People with self destruction wouldn't care about themselves to reach their goals, it's about matter of getting 'it' or not...
I would go with hopelessness with the darker version of perseverance. It doesn't matter.

For example:
Purple: GREED. Associated with Muffet
Yellow: PRIDE. Associated with Mettaton
Green: WRATH. Associated with Undyne
Orange: SLOTH. Most closely Associated with Alphys
Blue: ENVY.
Sloth= Sans, since he is lazy and has a sense of nihilism
Greed= Muffet, she attacks frisk because they didn't buy anything from the bake sale
Pride=Mettaton, due to egocentric tendencies
Envy= Flowey, since he was desperate to try different things even at the cost others well-being and was willing to kill frisk in order to have that power back.
Lust= Papyrus, he desires for respect from others and was willing to risk someone else's well being in order to get it.
Wrath=Undyne, because of her relentlessness of trying to capture the human
Gluttony= Asgore, he wants obtain 7 souls in order to destroy mankind, but just one soul will provide enough strength to give him god like powers.
Stephen Skinner bravery is asgore
Another thing I've realized: none of the Dreemurrs use soul modes. Every other major boss (and even one of the minor bosses) uses a soul mode besides red, but not Toriel, Asgore, or Asriel. Coincidence?
Stephen Skinner That Is Beatimus I've Ever Seen My Life. 😁😀👼
I thought these were what they were:
RED: Determination - Greed
Chara appears to have a greed for power - you know, megalomania
ORANGE: Bravery - Wrath
Bravery always moves, trying to look powerful, hence why Doggo killed it.
YELLOW: Justice - Pride
No description.
GREEN: Kindness - Gluttony
Kind people have a lot to do with food.
CYAN: Patience - Sloth
Patient people don't really like to move. They just sit there, hoping for the best, hence why Froggit killed it.
BLUE: Integrity - Lust
So far, Integrity appears to be the only trait that specifically has a female person in it, except for Fear.
PURPLE: Perserverance - Envy
No description.
PINK: Fear - Safety
If everyone was completely fearless, they'd all be dead, and most likely have to be forgetful.
GREY: Pessimism - Realism
People who are kind of hopeless have given up.
WHITE: Love - Selflessness/Deoxyribonucleic Acid(?)
Self-explanatory.

I'm pretty sure Frisk has extra Determination. Red=determination.
Colour
No shit sherlok
The video just made it sound like that color stood for something else.
I will explain this later after I play the game again.
What would a animal's soul look like?

I don't think jars are colored it's actually lights of the souls

My fav soul color is ORANGE it stands for UNDERLAB all of its subscribers are its LOVE and i subscribed so your awsome
I wonder if there's a much powerful soul out there that we haven't discovered yet...maybe even more powerful than omega flowey
Hope and Despair, both of these souls can't be achieved or didn't even exist...
I'm a teal soul, mix of Justice, Bravery, and Integrity and I would be called Assertiveness, im positive and confident. I'm aware im a worthy person with my own special gifts. I think for myself and express my own ideas. I know what I stand for and what I dont stand for. I expect respect.
What about pink...=)
glichtale reference
I love glitchtale. 1 like on Awesomeclay3's comment = 1 more glitchtale fan
Hehehe all glitchtale fans know what that represents XD
Heh, I get the joke. But to me it would make sense if it were inbetween red & magenta, but thats just colorwise. I'd say the trait would actually be dark orange.
**is a Glitchtale fan and knows that Camila made pink mean fear but tries to come up with an idea anyway**
Weeeeeeell, the more white a soul became, the more monster-like the person would get.
Would determination+perseverance=fear?
I've actually thought about different soul colors and here's my opinion on what traits they should be.
White- Love
Black- Hate
Pink- Confidence
Brown- Annoyence
That's actually all I have..* Facepalm*
Andriana Kitty for me brown equals imagination
Andriana Kitty Pink Is Fear and White Is Magic.
Eyy, someone else also said Pink = Confidence! XD
pink isnt fear glitchtale isnt offical and white is magic also isnt confirmed
i think this
white-love
black-L.O.V.E (L.evel.Of.Violenc.E)
pink-confidence
brown-annoyance
Aqua: Curiosity
Silver: Careful
Black: Determination (Hard Mode) (Fan idea also)
White (upside up): Seriousness
Rainbow: Wait-
Brown: Boredom
Skin (color): Careless
Pink: Undecided
*Skin* : murderer.
(Of course, these examples could just be 4th wall breaks, but what if they're not?)
I don't recall any specific information in the game saying that any of the other elements are in the lore like SAVING is, but maybe there are.
Wow, I’ve never considered this before....great job!
An interesting consequence of this idea is the possibility of mixing traits of complementary colors (like yellow (justice) and blue (Integrity)). By color logic, this would produce a neutral color (like gray or brown), so how would this work with treats?
Here are all the complementary colors (of the confirmed soul colors):
Blue (Integrity)\ Yellow (Justice);
Green (Kindness)\ Purple/Magenta (Perseverance);
Red (Purpose/Determination)\ Cyan (patients).
While I can see how patience could be the opposite of purpose/determination, I don’t see how kindness and perseverance are opposites, and justice and integrity sound like practical synonyms.
I think you have your complimentary colors mixed up
Green is the opposite of red
Blue the opposite of orange
Yellow is the opposite of purple
And cyan will probably be lumped in with blue
@@abigailgriffin-wc3fm-.-That's ture for standard paint colors, but not for light and inks, which I was going off of.
The RYB opposites seem to match much more closely than RGB:
Cyan (patience) / Orange (bravery)
Purple (perseverance) / Yellow (justice)
Green (kindness) / Red (determination)
With the caveat that opposites aren't incompatible so much as the least related.
But wait you said red souls can’t be determination because all humans have determination but what if you don’t like what if kind but not determined or what if your only determined what happens then?
I think it is just a lot of determination
What
Maybe Hooman also melt because of the dominant determination?
It just has more determination than other humans. So much that they can reset and manipulate their timeline.

The red orange COULD be rage, but maybe it would only be for an ENTIRELY different races soul.
But pink already HAS a soul for it. FEAR. It's from the glitchtale animated series.
All this talk of traits mix it with other traits to get traits that are somewhere in between those traits, all reminds me of allport’s Theory of personality. If you don’t know what that is I recommend you look it up, it’s quite interesting.
Sorry it wasn’t allport it was Eysenck’s Theory.
Its red for Determination because it has more DETERMINATION than other humans...Meaning you can come back after death and control timelines and create new ones

I've got a question is there only one pocket of monsters underground because at the start of the game it says the monsters where sealed underground it didn't say they were sealed under Mount ebot so maybe there is more monsters in different places underground
that's true
THATS MY THEORY! I believe that there is more than one 'Underground'

Liam Mccudden good idea, but besids that theres not much to back you up on that

Whilst I do think there are other soul colours, I think that they can only mean good things; a bad thing'd be a black soul with an coloured outlying, based on whatever it's the opposite of - for example, a yellow outline'd be oppression. In addition, I think whilst having similar colours may indicate some relationship, it doesn't mean that they're just a mix.
Pixel Breaker That makes sense, if you assume that the person with say, a green soul, were that colour first, but were somehow corrupted into their opposites, therefore making the Kind person the embodiment of unkindness.
is your a button broken
Pixel Breaker you just accidentally wrote a peace treaty between me and Camila Cuevas, even though she is WAY too evil to accept any theories, HOWEVER i will ATTEMPT to show this to her by using CTRL+ C and CTRL+ V and if she at least TOLERATES this theory then i will PERSONALLY thank you by subscribing to you!

@@tauistheworst5350 yea I agree so technically they aren't kindness
Im black (hate...?)
But monsters attacked you first... If you want to give them justice, then you will kill them...
The soul colors play a bigger part in Undertale when you fight boss monsters. Almost every boss turns your soul into a different color and the purpose of that color provides a glimpse to how you interact with them and complete a Pacifist run. *spoilers below btw*
The first real boss we met is Papyrus, who, turns your soul royal blue.

I think six souls are also represent Player's Soul Trait
Justice - To teach a lesson to the monster for what they did! (Neutral/Pacifist)
Kindness - You show Kindness to all monster so they can be happy and free from underground or you kill the monster for their own good (you know that killer has their own reason to Kill).. but mostly Kindness can protect monster from humanity in peacefully way!
(Pacifist/Genocide)
Perseverance - You just want to achieve the ending even you're trapped you still find a way then achieve "what" you want!
(Pacifist/Genocide/Neutral)
Integrity - You know what have to do, you know when to STOP fight, you know when to STOP mercy , but you stay true of YOURSELF and be responsible for what you did, You be honest to people or be honest to yourself!
(Neutral/Pacisift)
Bravery - Looks like you a little bit rush when playing this game, You don't care about the consequence YOU still going Forward no matter what, you fight the monster but you decided not to kill them, y u just wanted a fair fight! You are brave to spare them yet you're brave to kill them
(Neutral/Genocide/Pacisift)
Patience - You waited with patient ,You play this game with PATIENCE, you wait for the right answer for what have to do... But also you want to save monster right?
(Pacisift/Neutral/Genocide)
Determination - (I don't know what actually DETERMINATION mean so i can't explain it :'( sorry) DC

Leeren
Well after what Google translate says, it means to empty something.
Leeren means to empty something in English. But empty stands for "leer" while "leeren" means it is an act you are doing right now
As in "the bird is flying"
"The bird flew"
"The bird flies"
"The bird has flown"
While empty is already done "The Glass is empty, because I drank the water in it."
Emtey is when you are drinking out of the glass, you empty it.

THIS. THIS is one of the beter theories on what Red could mean. Determination already has a color, and it is Gold.
The best one I've heard so far.
8:13 this got me thinking, what if other humans without the 7 "main" souls fell down but, since their souls werent as powerful, those humans died from the fall? and thats why theres only the most "powerful" souls used to shatter the barrier
also it might be that the souls of the humans who created the barrier were the same type as the "main" ones, and only those 7 fell down because they were somehow drawn to the barrier because it was partially made with their soul type. and maybe no two of the same soul type fell down because one was already being stored by asgore to shatter the barrier (other than chara but their soul wasnt put in a container)
5:20 you just discribed my silver soul
With light, if you combine all colors, you get white, not brown. This has interesting implications in terms of monster souls and what they embody, besides just 'magic'. Brown is actually an incredibly dark shade of orange, so maybe it would actually have something to do with bravery? Great video, by the way!
Water fox: I have two souls one is light blue the other is pearl! But.......I don't know what pearl means though.
My soul color huh?

Underlab I said this on your last video but what's the deal with Mettaton? He's a robot with a PINK soul (if I'm correct) so why didn't they use his soul?
Pretty sure their soul is white. Also mettaton is Nabstablooks neighbour who went into alphys creation
Ilianna McCaskill it's simply a pink robot core in a shape of a soul, considering the fact that the game says so when you check mettaton ex and also the fact that he can attack with it
Yonatan Evron OH ok thank you
His soul is white, it's just his robot body giving it the pink hue
pink is not fear in the actual story
Well, my combination... It could be "naive" trait... A combination of dark green and dark purple, meaning being too kind and stubborn
About the fact of magic you meant... I think it's true, like... Every soul aspect has its power:
Red - Determination, leading to the Frisk's abilities
Yellow - Justice, magic bullets
Green - Kindness, a magic shield protecting from any projectiles and attacks
Blue - Integrity, [theory] here, soul can synchronize with user's body giving him super jumps
Purple - Perserverance, [theory] it is able for the owner to create some purple vines to use them for getting further to the places where you thought is unable to go
You don't really need 7 souls to break the barrier you need just one also my soul colour is...BLUE
Which blue
Natasha Kristensen No you need one human soul and one monster soul alphys said this.
