to be honest you cant compare the 2. Rodri was not the best player for Man City (Phil Foden). He was not the best player for Spain, there were 3 players that were clearly better than him. Rodri wasnt desicive in big games like against Madrid in quarter finals (they lost), or against Man United in FA Cup finals (lost), and was injured in Euro final (his substitute did more job in finals than him.)
Modric on the other hand was UCL final MVP and was more decisive and impactful for Madrid winning UCL. He also CARRIED Croatia to the World Cup final whilst being undoubtly the best player that World cup. Ronaldo was not desicive in UCL final, he wasvery good but inconsistent in La Liga (unlike Modric who was consistently great in La Liga), and Ronaldo despite being good in World cup 2018, he ghosted in Round 16 to Uruguay which they lost.
