Snakes are shown on the medical alerts as well as dispute being venomous the venom is also used to heal as well so the perfect choice for the Doctor, His grand apperance was my favorite out of everyone just do the fun he was having.
My guess is that he may have asked to be voted out do to based on when this season was being filmed is that another way of Covid was coming. While he does work with bones he is still a doctor 1st and it was all hands on deck for taking care of people who had Covid. I think that he could have gone all the way if he didn't need to go back to work

I'll be honest, I thought the crocodile was going in this episode. I loved the Serpents voice and I felt his performance was stronger than Crocodiles.
