Mode did confirm to me that the Loop’s loop accent is in fact machined from a single piece, brass in this case! EDIT: Official video build guide is up now, linked to the written one in the description: th-cam.com/video/aJ-qee0vuaE/w-d-xo.html
Love all the details you point out in the video. Still waiting for my Cassette because I ordered Mode Stabilizers with it so they are delayed. And I like how you went the extra mile and edited together the sound tests for the different keycaps, comparisons are much easier this way.
It’s a great board no doubt (and a great video as always Ian) but that $500 price point is a REALLY tough sell considering how many TKLs are coming in at $175-300. At this tier you have to beat specialty boards with boutique appeal.
@Earth Very curious about MTNU - I currently have MT3 -Susuwatari - and although the set looks and sounds amazing - the profile is hard to get comfortable with - especially if u gaming for a few hours - specifically the WASD row - the slope of that row is too radical - have u ever used MT3 ? - how does the slope of the WASD row and comfort feel compared to the MTNU ?
@@george8920 I’ve used both for sure! MTNU is much more comfortable. The slope is more gentle and the edges are softened while still having the deep scoops that hug your finger tips.
@@_IanOfEarth Thanks for replaying! Tbh now I'm torn between to either get this or the sonnet. Both are great looking boards. I am looking for a board where I do not have to use foams to make it sound good. What are your thoughts on this board without foam and which board do you think I should go for and call it a day?
@@Linc-77 both sound great without foams to me, Mode does a good job there. What I will say is the Sonnet can achieve a larger variety of sound profiles than the Loop. So if you’re layout agnostic between the two, you might be happier with the Sonnet long term. But the Loop does have hella plate options now so if you know what you want going in and just want to lock it in and leave it, it’ll do great there.
@@_IanOfEarth Thanks again for the fast reply! Yeah I'll stick with the sonnet for now. Sonnet with a pc bottom and a half plate is the main build and a hotswap configuration for when I wanna play with switches! Thanks again and have a great week ahead!

Hey monochrome boy, where's your colour?
IN HELL, SEE YOU THERE ❤️
That MTNU is growing on me. Especially on this keyboard.
It’s good right? The center legends are taking some getting used to. I think MTNU with Icon Mods could be the goat.
Just finished watching this. And as it turns out, My Loop TKL Cassette is number 8 of 300!
Ayyyy, Cassette neighbors!! I love it! Hope you enjoyed the video
Is mode the apple of keyboards?
Ya know, I get that question a lot, but I’m never totally sure what it means 😅
Engagement.
Appreciative reply!
Great build, Mountain Dew affiliate link would be dope. Test your PCB, count your parts, call your mother, etc. etc.
All the best things.
Great video as always ! Beautiful build and nice to have sound tests for these different profiles.
Glad they’re helpful! I’m so stoked how well the finish of MTNU matches the Loop ano.

I’m so glad that detail is appreciated! Makes these videos worth making :)
Waiting for the second batch for a more economical price.
I can’t wait to see what they do with it!! So many config options with tops, bottoms, and three accents!
Shout out to the ultimate keyboard fuel, Baja Blast.

LOVE LOVE LOVE MTNU. Don’t love that they went with a 4 letter acronym. GMK… CYL… MT3… DCS… DCX… OEM.. ABS… PBT…
MTNU.
Kills me too. Also CYL ISN'T EVEN AN ACRONYM. GMK!!
Thanks for the quick keycap comparison... only comparison I've ever seen on youtube comparing mode & gmk
Glad it was helpful!
Finally getting to watch this. Great video, Ian! Loved the breakdown of everything. You know I need one of those orange stickers…
Thanks, Qual! ❤️ Come find me and get one 😉

The build quality of this case is absolutely gorgeous and very premium looking. I can see why it's costing this price now.
Lots of work went in to it for sure! Still glad Mode got the price down for the in-stock version though.
I have now officially watched this video and have my left my thoughts in a private discord.. Thank you.
Thank you as always for your viewership and diligence to detail 🫡

Yeah it is a very spendy and small batch board for sure. Keen to see what Mode can do with their logistics prowess on a larger run of them.
This thing is definitely pretty, too bad I’m a 75% or smaller guy
I mean… The Sonnet is like one of my favorite keyboards ever! So still in good hands with Mode 😉
19:40 What’s up Ian?!
STERLING IN THE HOUSE
Great video! 🎉
Thanks for the kind words!
nice looking board ! - and awesome looking keycaps !
Thanks so much! The Loop has only grown on me since, MTNU as well.

@@_IanOfEarth ty for the info :)
that gmk mtnu really fits well with the aesthetics of the loop tkl. That pure black build is such chef kiss! thanks for sharing!
It really worked out! Glad you enjoyed!
