In the book of VK publication by Ashok Sharma, in the chapter of company meetings and resolution, the same topic we are talking about which is types of resolution: "it is clearly mention that, 'change name of a company comes under ordinary resolution', not special resolution." Moreover it comes under section 16 of companies act not 13."

So please get your facts straight, when you are teaching something. I just came here to understand the topic in brief because I could not find the book any much of a help. But still this book is offered publication which means the information present in it would be correct.

Hey! That was a succinct video! But, I think for a special majority we never say that 75% votes are required. The votes in favor should not be less than 3 times the votes against the resolution. [Section 114(2)(c)]
