It is not on writers but on general audience. It is a representation of witness in the past stating their weird tension for gossip sakes and ppl believing those gossips for their entertainment. In fact, there is nothing SEXUAL about what writers even put on the show actually. It is us as audiences who have prejudiced perceptions on this case and claiming it as sexual.

Coming from a child who understand Erik and Lyle unfortunately.Writers and directors and people who haven’t been sexually molested or raped take the story’s and spin them in their narrative with zero shame. It’s always such a punch to the gut.before I watched the series and even before I watch the the defense team tryna convict Lyle and Erik in the real trials I need to prepare myself. they say a lot of things that certainly make someone who has experienced it to get angry when someone says such messed up things.They find the murder a problem but not equally ,if not more the sexual abuse and rape of young children their own children They were abused for awhile. Half of their life’s. The abuse started at 6 and 8. absolutely disgusting.but not a shocker as my abuse started at 7 and didn’t end till my second year of being a teenager . Just saying watch the trials the represent child victims and specifically Lyle in this serious. Doesn’t make it a bad one,just doesn’t make it 100 percent true. I don’t condone murder but my abuser threatened me after he left my room and the first thought that came to my mind was I’d choose my life over his he’s taken enough from me😅. So I understand them.thankfully my abuse ended when Covid came the fourth and final one finally didn’t have the opportunity or alibi to be chilling in my house molesting me. it had came to a point where I was always on defense after I caught him at the edge of my bed when I was home from school he was climbing on the bed and I thankfully turned around at the perfect time.I have no idea his intentions but it seems it was to sneak up behind me in my bed and do the obvious to me. This is what I mean those that haven’t experienced just don’t understand. but so far a lot of people have tried to be understanding,a lot of the people still don’t understand like the director I believe in my heart that the whole sexual thing in the series is a jab at Lyle for unknownly repeating what his dad taught him and forced him to do but on Erik.Erik forgives Lyle as he blames his dad for first off molesting and raping Lyle, and teaching it to him then going on to molest and rape Erik these kids were so confused, now they understand their was more options but in that moment when u think your abusers gonna kill you you don’t think straight. If only José never did that to them, and maybe just maybe kitty would’ve been a good mom who loved and protected her children instead of her man who was raping them and sexually molesting them herself.but yeah I recommend watching the actual trials after the series or before. for those that haven’t heard of it this series is NOT a good representation for the first time people hear it. anyways amazing channel, you both didn’t say anything bad,good reactions.TikTok has been making jokes about their rapes.It’s disgusting. There’s a documentary coming out tomorrow on Netflix, which from the looks of it will be more accurate than whatever this show tried to portray. You might want to check that out as well!
En el episodio 3 se revelan muchos secretos y se puede enterder con mas claridad porque mataron a sus padres. Y el episodio 5 es uno de los mejores, es muy fuerte emocionalmente.
i know that the kissings scenes can be weird, but they were'nt together in the real life, in fact they sued Netflix for making it seems that they were in a relation when they were not.

As a person who read a lot about the case and watched hours of court footage a few years ago, I was hopeful about this series. However, I believe the first 3 episodes were extremely inaccurate in portraying the character of the boys. Erik himself has said that his biggest complaint was the caricature of Lyle. Lyle was never described as snappy in any of witness testimonies (and there was A LOT of them), quite the opposite every family member and friend has described him as a calm and caring individual that rarely talked back to his parents. Also the brothers never had “tension”, it’s just a sick and twisted fantasy of Ryan Murphy to try and sexualize the brothers. Those were one of the hundreds of rumors created at the time. Taking those and putting them in the series that people will perceive as the truth is awful and I hate how people are trying to excuse it as “creative liberty”, it was never stated that those are rumors, they’re presenting it as facts. I don’t wanna “spoil” anything, so I will point out the inaccuracies in ep 3 as well when you release the reaction. Ep 4 and 5 are by far the most accurate ones. Especially ep 5, phenomenal acting. Even Erik himself has told Cooper Koch (the actor that plays Erik) that he had done a good job on that episode. (Erik’s wife has been telling him about the content of the show)
