Nice engine! I owned one in my 1962 Coupe De Ville . It was very reliable, only did basic maintenance, plugs, oil, points antifreeze etc. It lasted for years with 160,000 miles. Only issue was the water pump needed replacing but we did it in the driveway...easy!
Are you sure that is a 390? The fuel pump is completely different than the one I just replaced in my 61 coupe DeVille. Even the way it's mounted is different, yours mounts straight down to the block and mine mounts into the side of the oil filler neck . The websites I have looked at (Cadillac parts Ltd, Cady daddy, etc) show my style pump to be correct. I have a video of me replacing the fuel pump on my channel. I am very curious to find out why your engine is different!
@@theholubproject3497 oh I guess I didn't catch that. The pump still looks different on top though look on Cadillac parts Ltd at the picture. They are also cheaper than Cady daddy on that pump , and they have a rebuild kit if you don't want to buy the whole pump

Fun to watch… keep them videos coming
I’m looking forward to seeing the block all cleaned up from the shop! Hopefully it isn’t cracked and we can watch you bring this back. Nice job!
Glad you're trying to keep this engine. Hope it goes well. Great video.
GREAT VIDEO!!! THANK'S!!!
Nice work!
Hopefully the transmission is in good condition.
Hope the cylinder heads are ok, these are prone to cracking especially if overheated.
Cylinder heads checked out good!
any carbon ridge or wear ridge at top of piston travel ? damn, did not realize price of bearings.
Timing chain and gears are available.
Who disassembles a multipart machine over a grid??
Haha this guy! 🤣

Mine should be the same. Fuel pump bolts to the side of the oil filler. I just the whole assembly off in one piece
