  • Jatiluwih, is one of the most stunning views of rice terraces in Bali. It is located in Tabanan, in central Bali. It's a nice place to walk and see the ancient Subak agricultural system in action.
    Subak is the water management irrigation system that has been in place since the 9th Century in Bali. It is a cooperative, democratic system managed through social, political, and religious means. There are several water temples throughout the island, and each of these temples plays a role in managing the water, ensuring that it flows evenly throughout all the rice paddies of the island.
    There is a Subak museum in Tabanan City, I hope to go there some day and make a video.
