Imagine if most of these passive things were actually skills you had to learn similar to Advanced Jump or they were rewards for completing Races. The more experienced you are in parkour, the less chance there is for Ezio to stumble, and the faster he pulls himself up from a hands-only ledge grab position into a full 4-limb ledge grab etc.

This is literally a parkour mechanical concept that Ubisoft definately should pick up! Keep in mind this is running on a game that came out in 2010 and it looks this good.
This is amazing. I wish I could do consistent side ejects after a diagonal wall run in the new games when done on plain walls. Similar to a wall run in the prince of Persia games

Spot on tutorial and love the guide. You're probably my favourite Assassin's Creed TH-camr at this point simply because of the parkour stuff. I used to play these games for the story and take the parkour for granted but recently have been just spending hours parkouring around and experimenting. Definitely installing these mods and replaying all the games with them! As a developer (I make my own stuff) I also appreciate the respect you have for the original vision/system, and how you are against exploiting the mod too much in order to keep things grounded. Most people go for the "easy way out" in these situations, but you make sure to keep things realistic (as realistic as they'll get, this is assassin's creed after all 😂) Amazing video. Definitely pointing my friends here cos they need to see this
I suppose I ought to get in touch with HenryPDT directly for what I have to say next but I'll comment it here too anyway. I started testing again following the instructions to the letter. After opening the mod and launching the game, pressing d-pad up and r3 does nothing. I have to manually enable the mod from the cheat engine page directly (I enabled the red coded lines and the parkour mode line). Only then did the mod begin to function. Even then, vaults would never trigger. When I enabled the "manual vault" line vaults would trigger without the armed hand input at any time Ezio would have been on an nso he would vault to hang automatically, both in low profile and in high profile. I have no idea what's going on and from what I've seen I assume it's a problem that hasn't been shared or discussed before.
I really love Super Hop on Foothold but so sad that it seems to be too unrealistic/bugs at some places (as you mention & sorry not good with the words) Because it's actually doable in real life, like if you're quick and strong enough, you can land on foot (after a jump) and execute a Wall run up at that point (if you help with hands while running up like Arno in AC Unity), damn it looks cool af. I hope you guys can invent a solution that allow Super Hop to always be turned on instead of Safeguarded.
I'm shocked how intuitive and consistent this mod is. Is there any way to access your attacks while in parkour mode, because I'd love to do a whole playthough with this?

Thank you! I don't think I'll be doing the same guide for any other AC as the binds are essentially the exact same, the same modded inputs should work in AC1, as well as the vanilla ones
You can't do so sadly, and the functionality that this mod provides doesn't really have to do with what mirage needs, as the old schools actually have a consistent and good eject system that allows for properly prioritized foot landings

would it be possible to make this mod actually integrated into the game such as dropping a file into the game folder instead of having it through cheat engine? it's really annoying to have to open CE every time I play brotherhood - unless there's a way to make CE and the mod launch as soon as I open brotherhood every time
hey so ik ac 1 isn't brotherhood but i do have a question. i can do a vault but when i try to do it while laddering down on poles or just using it on a pole or anything high up in general it always auto hangs on. and more then that i can't vault on a ledge either. idk if this is just an ac 1 and the rest allow u to chose if u want to vault into a hang or not but i just wanted to ask if this is normal?
My cheat table don't show all the things that your table has. And when i. Start the game nothing really happen even if i press pad up just select the hidden blade only
Hi there I'm having issues with the activation of the mod for ac2. The game updated, played through ubisoft connect. I downloaded, installed and activated the Eagle Patch mod Once I loaded into a game save I started the Defintive AC2_KBM_v8 cheat engine file (cheat engine installed) And still I get a script
This mod is specifically made for the old schools, so you can't use it on Rogue, but who knows when the kenways might start getting some more serious support! MichaelM has been modding them here and there casually, even if there isn't a mod that's as comprehensive or definitive as this one
hi, I have the same problem as many, I play on a pirate, but with the help of a patch, I made sure that yubisoft was linked and now I can get achievements.So the problem is that when I activate it on Tab, the game crashes, I downloaded the old version of the mod because I'm on a pirate, maybe I can do it on the new version of the mod for steam? Hey so whenever I try to do the moves you do they don’t work. in the cheat engine it shows they are working (I press manual vault and the X goes in the box for example). I also press the button to enable parkour mode and it makes me punch when I try to vault. Please help!
Parkour Mode at the moment doesnt prevent punching, hence I recommend you keeping the weapon slot to Hidden Blade instead, this will be fixed in the next update. For the point, you said the moves arent working, does this apply to all moves, or just the vaulting? This could either be you are using an incompatible version of the game like the newer Rev update or pirated version, or that you are using the mod wrong somehow.
@@henrypdt everything seems to work on the mod besides the parkour down/far function I believe. But with hidden blades out I can vault, jump to ledge/beam and vault up as well so It is working. Thank you for your time and work in the community!

I see it dw lol, the instructions for installing eagle patch should be on its modpage, they're pretty simple and boil down to moving a couple of files into the right places
It's a shame that the game's overall design doesn't emphasise parkouring fast. 2's combat is boring. Easy, but boring. So I would rather run away than deal with fighting with enemies. Even if it is easy. Brothethood and revelations combat is fast and snappy. Unfortunately it personally made me want to use parkour less even if the world is better design
@@animusdrifter there are so many ways to emphasise it. All of which are in the series. AC3 style notoriety where it's sequential instead of all or nothing. And pulling off posters doesn't lower it at level 3 Hard/ bad combat to emphasise running away Time trials in the world itself. This one hurt cause brotherhood does have time trials. But in a white void. So you won't learn to use those moves in the world itself. Man I hope AC shadows has these. It probably won't cause it's dealing with so much drama right now. Ubisoft just can't help themselves can they?

i got the mod to run successfully, but everytime i did the move 14:41 (not the tutorial but that animation of Ezio hanging specifically, i have to remind myself everytime i see that type of beam) , he always glitching. its like he wants to go up the pole beam ,but then drop down. I have to stop holding high profile for a brief second in order for Ezio to get through easily, any fixes boss?

Hey, I really liked the vid. I installed everything and tried out the mod in montereggioni, however when travelling to firenze the game keeps crashing. Now im stuck in a loop where I open the game, load the save and it almost immidiately crashes. Has anyone had the same problem?

They should work for any game, unless it's about the horse flip or something, as that was only introduced into brotherhood and kept in revelations code

another comment could i turn off the red keybinds as the mod is good but i dont enjoy swinging from almost any object or to disable the mods at times completly i tried to press r but it still active [edit] is there a timestamp which explains this as i watched the video but didnt see one maybe i missed it
To avoid swinging on an object, you don't need to disable the mod, but instead have to simply not hold down the binds that trigger a swing-off. Letting go of high profile when in a swingable state should be enough not to trigger it, and should let you eventually pull up. To avoid the slower, swing-induced recovery period before being able to pull up again, you can also hold L1 (Left bumper) or its respective keybind on KBM to get back the normal pull-up.
@@animusdrifter for kbm its space nd right click which are the same for parkouring nd running also if u land on a object hanging theres like a wait tim where u swing around. also is it possible to disable certain red stuff
@@animusdrifter also forgot to mention to swing from one pole to another u need to hold w space and right click which in vanila works fine but here. atleast for ac1 but here i somtimes get pulled up i tried the swing from other objects features and i somtimes got pulled up i play on kbm btw. one more thing for mb4 or mb5 aka mouse button 4 or 5 my mouse doesnt have them only left click and right click is there a way to change that
To not swing on any object and pull up like vanilla, you can use MB5 only (assuming you are on KBM) which is the Pull up on Beam / Pole on entry binds, or do what Animus Drifter said and release High Profile and wait for idle. At the moment the R binds to enable the mod is only Enable / Reset the mod, not Disable the mod, I will add that in the next update.
@@Katsuya-08 No unfortunately, Cheat engine doesnt detect left click and right click as binds, so I cant use them in binds, plus MB4 and MB5 are used by many other features as well and is the most ergonomic binds for the move set. So either you try and actually rebinded to something else (which tbh with how I made everything to work together, thats basically impossible unless you start from scratch), get a mouse with side buttons, or preferably use a controller. I personally use a controller so thats what I mainly focus on. I get that you might not be able to do so, but thats the requirement to use the mod with how many features it has (and more coming), so there's nothing I can really do about that.
@@henreebee6561 if so it would be absolutely amazing especially being able to take this on go with my steamdeck, i can bring more exposure to this mod.
For AC2 and ACR, it should work, you just need the latest pirated version, DODI should work for example. For ACB, you would have to use the optional/old version instead for pirated/cracked version, since ubisoft recently updated the game, and I mod using the legitimate Ubisoft version. Although I won't be updating that version anymore unfortunately. So it may not include the latest features and I will not be giving support on that.

Read the FAQ in the posts section, if using a pirated version, try using the optional files for older version. It may or may not work depending on which pirate version. Also that is also an older version of the mod and I won't be updating or giving support on that version anymore.

Vault height biases are slightly different, i don't know the keyboard binds by heart, but the vault doesn't have the same variations as other actions, for a parkour down close effect you're best off holding forced freeform in the middle of the vault
I'd say 11:24 is justified. In ACU there is pole direction trick m.th-cam.com/video/dpGcKExT9us/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUbQXNzYXNpbnMgQ3JlZWQgVW5pdHkgc3dpbmcg where Arno change the direction where you land and can be used to alter your parkour route . It is also realistic so whats the problem rly, it just looks wierd when done by Ezio. Also I agrre, the vault on roof is bs.
I say it isn't justified because of the way Ezio executes the move. In unity, the lache inversion is an actually plausible looking move where you change the hang direction in the middle of a swing (which you still can't do instantly with the mod in the Ezios), while Ezio pulls himself up and over the object in the jankiest and most unbelievable pace and manner only to achieve a similar effect to the side switch when you're in a stationary hang by holding directional input opposite of where he's facing in a hang. It may be a bit faster, but i just don't see the value in its speed gain or whatever else it brings to the table considering how it's presented. All in all i don't really think a pullup of such insane speeds is realistic even for Ezio's strength, considering he needs far more time when pulling up from any other freehang. I'm glad you agree that doing it on top of roof objects isn't justified though, means a lot
Sadly, what the fix does is that it allows for a brief moment in state transition that lets you do it, it's not an intended feature nor does it make sense, except for some potential rare cases of it being used with very horizontally close parkour down eject destinations, or maybe freeform parkour down - could still be too strong.

You can always use it, but i've explained the reasoning behind applying self limitation to preserve and value the otherwise highly intentional and purposeful moveset, level design, and the limitations put in place to make it engaging and to make you think, on top of basic grounding that we feel a character has. If you don't care as much, the option to use it is always there, but I personally don't value it
Do you have a cracked version? If so, you'll have to find an older mod version that was made for before ubisoft released the most recent small patch for the old schools

Issue with cheat engine is its flagged by a lot of anticheat in online multiplayer games with EAC or vanguard which scans your pc for cheat engine

3:50 When I open the mod, what app do i use? I keep getting 3 options that being Notepad, Word or Media player.

You have to download the cheat engine first then it allows you to open the zip file

would it be possible to make this mod actually integrated into the game such as dropping a file into the game folder instead of having it through cheat engine? it's really annoying to have to open CE every time I play brotherhood - unless there's a way to make CE and the mod launch as soon as I open brotherhood every time
hey so ik ac 1 isn't brotherhood but i do have a question. i can do a vault but when i try to do it while laddering down on poles or just using it on a pole or anything high up in general it always auto hangs on. and more then that i can't vault on a ledge either. idk if this is just an ac 1 and the rest allow u to chose if u want to vault into a hang or not but i just wanted to ask if this is normal?
My cheat table don't show all the things that your table has.

Hi there I'm having issues with the activation of the mod for ac2.
The game updated, played through ubisoft connect.
I downloaded, installed and activated the Eagle Patch mod
Once I loaded into a game save I started the Defintive AC2_KBM_v8 cheat engine file (cheat engine installed)
And still I get a script
From the look of that error, it seems like you havent installed Eagle Patch properly

This mod is specifically made for the old schools, so you can't use it on Rogue, but who knows when the kenways might start getting some more serious support! MichaelM has been modding them here and there casually, even if there isn't a mod that's as comprehensive or definitive as this one
hi, I have the same problem as many, I play on a pirate, but with the help of a patch, I made sure that yubisoft was linked and now I can get achievements.So the problem is that when I activate it on Tab, the game crashes, I downloaded the old version of the mod because I'm on a pirate, maybe I can do it on the new version of the mod for steam? Hey so whenever I try to do the moves you do they don’t work. in the cheat engine it shows they are working (I press manual vault and the X goes in the box for example). I also press the button to enable parkour mode and it makes me punch when I try to vault. Please help!
Parkour Mode at the moment doesnt prevent punching, hence I recommend you keeping the weapon slot to Hidden Blade instead, this will be fixed in the next update.
For the point, you said the moves arent working, does this apply to all moves, or just the vaulting? This could either be you are using an incompatible version of the game like the newer Rev update or pirated version, or that you are using the mod wrong somehow.
@@henrypdt everything seems to work on the mod besides the parkour down/far function I believe. But with hidden blades out I can vault, jump to ledge/beam and vault up as well so It is working. Thank you for your time and work in the community!

How do you practice and remember the keybinds
It's a shame that the game's overall design doesn't emphasise parkouring fast. 2's combat is boring. Easy, but boring. So I would rather run away than deal with fighting with enemies. Even if it is easy.
Brothethood and revelations combat is fast and snappy. Unfortunately it personally made me want to use parkour less even if the world is better design

AC3 style notoriety where it's sequential instead of all or nothing. And pulling off posters doesn't lower it at level 3
Hard/ bad combat to emphasise running away
Time trials in the world itself. This one hurt cause brotherhood does have time trials. But in a white void. So you won't learn to use those moves in the world itself.
Man I hope AC shadows has these. It probably won't cause it's dealing with so much drama right now. Ubisoft just can't help themselves can they?
@@teneesh3376 Shadows will not care about any sort of movement enforcement beyond rpg movement with a grapple slapped on top, so it feels pointless to even think about

AC2 combat is great and actually has quite a lot of depth to make it fun, just look up a guide

@@spider-boi9097 Potentially, as there's a high chance that the pirated version is actually another patch of the game (an older one) that doesn't work with EaglePatch and the mod consequently and directly

i got the mod to run successfully, but everytime i did the move 14:41 (not the tutorial but that animation of Ezio hanging specifically, i have to remind myself everytime i see that type of beam) , he always glitching. its like he wants to go up the pole beam ,but then drop down. I have to stop holding high profile for a brief second in order for Ezio to get through easily, any fixes boss?

Hey, I really liked the vid. I installed everything and tried out the mod in montereggioni, however when travelling to firenze the game keeps crashing. Now im stuck in a loop where I open the game, load the save and it almost immidiately crashes. Has anyone had the same problem?

They should work for any game, unless it's about the horse flip or something, as that was only introduced into brotherhood and kept in revelations code

I'm playing Brotherhood in the video, but if you're asking about which one I play in general, it's the Ubisoft connect version.

another comment could i turn off the red keybinds as the mod is good but i dont enjoy swinging from almost any object or to disable the mods at times completly i tried to press r but it still active [edit] is there a timestamp which explains this as i watched the video but didnt see one maybe i missed it
To avoid swinging on an object, you don't need to disable the mod, but instead have to simply not hold down the binds that trigger a swing-off. Letting go of high profile when in a swingable state should be enough not to trigger it, and should let you eventually pull up.
To avoid the slower, swing-induced recovery period before being able to pull up again, you can also hold L1 (Left bumper) or its respective keybind on KBM to get back the normal pull-up.
@@animusdrifter for kbm its space nd right click which are the same for parkouring nd running also if u land on a object hanging theres like a wait tim where u swing around. also is it possible to disable certain red stuff
@@animusdrifter also forgot to mention to swing from one pole to another u need to hold w space and right click which in vanila works fine but here. atleast for ac1 but here i somtimes get pulled up i tried the swing from other objects features and i somtimes got pulled up i play on kbm btw. one more thing for mb4 or mb5 aka mouse button 4 or 5 my mouse doesnt have them only left click and right click is there a way to change that
To not swing on any object and pull up like vanilla, you can use MB5 only (assuming you are on KBM) which is the Pull up on Beam / Pole on entry binds, or do what Animus Drifter said and release High Profile and wait for idle. At the moment the R binds to enable the mod is only Enable / Reset the mod, not Disable the mod, I will add that in the next update.
@@Katsuya-08 No unfortunately, Cheat engine doesnt detect left click and right click as binds, so I cant use them in binds, plus MB4 and MB5 are used by many other features as well and is the most ergonomic binds for the move set. So either you try and actually rebinded to something else (which tbh with how I made everything to work together, thats basically impossible unless you start from scratch), get a mouse with side buttons, or preferably use a controller. I personally use a controller so thats what I mainly focus on.
I get that you might not be able to do so, but thats the requirement to use the mod with how many features it has (and more coming), so there's nothing I can really do about that.

For AC2 and ACR, it should work, you just need the latest pirated version, DODI should work for example.
For ACB, you would have to use the optional/old version instead for pirated/cracked version, since ubisoft recently updated the game, and I mod using the legitimate Ubisoft version. Although I won't be updating that version anymore unfortunately. So it may not include the latest features and I will not be giving support on that.

Read the FAQ in the posts section, if using a pirated version, try using the optional files for older version. It may or may not work depending on which pirate version. Also that is also an older version of the mod and I won't be updating or giving support on that version anymore.

Vault height biases are slightly different, i don't know the keyboard binds by heart, but the vault doesn't have the same variations as other actions, for a parkour down close effect you're best off holding forced freeform in the middle of the vault

I'd say 11:24 is justified. It is also realistic so whats the problem rly, it just looks wierd when done by Ezio. Also I agrre, the vault on roof is bs.
I say it isn't justified because of the way Ezio executes the move. In unity, the lache inversion is an actually plausible looking move where you change the hang direction in the middle of a swing (which you still can't do instantly with the mod in the Ezios), while Ezio pulls himself up and over the object in the jankiest and most unbelievable pace and manner only to achieve a similar effect to the side switch when you're in a stationary hang by holding directional input opposite of where he's facing in a hang. It may be a bit faster, but i just don't see the value in its speed gain or whatever else it brings to the table considering how it's presented. All in all i don't really think a pullup of such insane speeds is realistic even for Ezio's strength, considering he needs far more time when pulling up from any other freehang. I'm glad you agree that doing it on top of roof objects isn't justified though, means a lot
Yup it's looks bad and junky, it slows you down. But I still believe in possible tricks it has to offer. It may look bad but if it works, it works.

Sadly, what the fix does is that it allows for a brief moment in state transition that lets you do it, it's not an intended feature nor does it make sense, except for some potential rare cases of it being used with very horizontally close parkour down eject destinations, or maybe freeform parkour down - could still be too strong.

You can always use it, but i've explained the reasoning behind applying self limitation to preserve and value the otherwise highly intentional and purposeful moveset, level design, and the limitations put in place to make it engaging and to make you think, on top of basic grounding that we feel a character has. If you don't care as much, the option to use it is always there, but I personally don't value it
