The RAF provide Ukraine's fire and rescue services with vital training

- The Royal Air Force and Defence Fire and Rescue are to provide 16 specialist firefighting vehicles to Ukraine's fire and rescue services.
The urgently needed equipment will help bolster Ukraine's ability to respond to damage caused by Russia's continued use of cruise missiles and one-way attack drones against Ukrainian infrastructure.
Nine Ukrainian military firefighters spent a week at RAF Wittering learning the specifics of the Rapid Intervention and Major Foam Vehicles, with the training designed and delivered by the RAF and Defence Fire and Rescue.

This is really fantastic, well done the RAF and their fantastic Mechanical Transport team.
As someone from the University of Kyiv stated recently, the UK were the first to help Ukraine in WWII and they were the first to help fight Russia in 2022. And to paraphrase [because I can't find the original video now] Ukraine couldn't ask for a better ally and the years have proved that when you have the UK as a friend they are a friend for life - or words to that effect.

Excellent value for money, their contribution will help deal with the impact of Russian atrocities. In doing so it will erode Russian military capabilities by enabling Ukraine to focus is resources on the fight. This is a bargain for Uk taxpayers kit due for retirement helping to defeat Russia now if cheaper that having to fight Russia in a few years time if Ukraine falls because of a lack of support now.

Yes, I heard on the internet that Ukraine had been invaded and needs a lot of equipment. It's friends and allies are helping it out. These old things are gradually being replaced with bright shiny new ones in the UK
