Best fight I’ve had so far in the game. I was using a hammer too, it’s so badass fighting beasts with that thing.
One tip I would suggsst for warrior is climbing and STANDING on bosses for charged attacks. Whatever the boss, you can stand on all of the non-humanoid ones. I will stand on their backs and charge attack their heads for fast KOs. Also, you dont always have to charge fully. If something is gonna move out of the way, swing. If you have a small window of opportunity for an ability, use it. Also, use your charge defensively. With knockdown resistance and intrepidity, you can let things get close and comfortable and clear/disrupt whole groups.
In the fotage you are clearly using windstorm slash wrong. You have to press the followup attack at a certain time (which gets increasingly faster). At Max speed it hits like 4 times a second and does insane DPS. I usually use this for boss damage, when they are down because if timed right the attacks DONT consume stamina. they only do if you miss the window to attack again

Icing on the cake is, that the skill doesn't consume stamina, if you hit the button on the right timing. Allowing you to output insane DPS and still having all you stamina at the end of it
If you get enough consecutive hits (10?) on this move it has a finisher that does crazy damage. Really good on knocked down bosses weak points, honestly does the most potential damage aside from the maister skill
the perfect timing on the swings to go faster are little harder to time than your normal autos but man is it satisfying to just sit there SHWINGING when you're a top speed. the extra big attack at the end if you're at max speed is a huge bonus too. I used this on a gore ogre from full health and killed it without stopping very quickly.
There’s a timing mechanic to certain skills too, Savage Lash being one of them (another is Dire Arrow for Archer). The game never tells you, so most people just allow them to charge normally and then let them release. But they actually have a window where if you release them at the *exact* moment they become fully charged, you’ll do a stronger version with significantly more damage and knockdown. You’ll know you triggered it correctly when it plays a louder sound and the “hit stop” (where the game halts for a second) is longer. I just use the deluge without aiming, then spam the arrow button, also without aiming. If you want to stay ranged, you can freeze with the technique above and use the charge shot the game gives you (Puncture Dart) for solid damage
ya i was cringing to level it for the extra health and ended up maxing it, the counter move is amazing, and just wading into combat knocking everything to the ground is so meaty and satisfying. Thief and warrior my favs with MSH right after
Windstorm Slash carried my drake fights. A buffed Gryphic Victory shredded 3 health bars because I got the combo moving faster and faster as I slashed straight into its heart. The damage builds because you’re hitting quicker and quicker each time. Timing it right also uses WAY less stamina.
I understand Arc of Might is the new Arc of Deliverance/Obliteration.... But it just doesn't hit the same way. that name... "Arc of Deliverance", badass, Biblical sounding even... just so awesome...., and that insane bass hit and screen freeze when it impacted in Dragon's Dogma 1, no game has ever had a move so simple yet so satisfying. Overall, Warrior is much more fun and fleshed out in DD2, but i still boot up DD1 and run through Bitterblack and biding my time setting up a well timed Arc. Nothing comes close. DD2 may have surpassed DD1 in almost every way, they are very similar but different enough to both be classics in their own right.
Same, the impact of arc of might doesn't reach the level of satisfaction of arc of deliverance. Arc of might doesnt feel like an ultimate move. The camera shot, the flashiness, the weight, of arc of deliverance is just *chef's kiss*
In DD1 Arc of Deliverance is the upgrade version of Arc of Might and Arc of Obliteration in the dlc is the final upgrade version so maybe we will have that back in the future DLC, with the new meister systerm that teach ultimate skills , i think the dlc will have new warrior meister that tech new Arc skill or upgrade the Arc of Might to Arc of Deliverance/Obliteration
warrior sorcerer and archer is an actually evil combo like knock down with warrior set up augural flare on the weak spot and spam it with arrows till it blows up
@sphynx669 rn I'm using manifold shot and heavenward sunder mainly because the only issue with warrior is not being able to hit flying targets like harpies or drakes but tbh you'd probably be better stocking up on explosive arrows and going ham. But it feels so easy tbh spamming infinite arrows especially on lower level enemy's or weak spots also there's rings that help with stamina regen too which makes it amazing. Edit I'm lvl 60 now and torrent shot and mountain breaker are far superior moves. I also use inspirit because it's super useful.
Warrfarer is the most broken class I've seen yet, although its nice that every class works so you can play your "fantasy" class and just enjoy it. Warfarer with Sorc/Thief. You can take 5+ Health bars easily by yourself in one shot by using a combo of the rogues Helmspliiter and Sorc Flare, most broken things I've seen yet, just kills any boss in game instantly.
I never thought I would like Warrior when I first saw the gameplay. It just looked slow and clunky and when the game launched I mained Thief until NG+ when I decided to try something out and ever since Warrior has been my main. It's just such a fun class with all the knock downs and big hits. There's nothing more satisfying than hitting a crit spot with Arc of Might and watching the boss get deleted
5:30 you're missing the timing, you can go much faster. its pretty insane (you dont lose stamina with you get the time right) but agreed there are better options. but its a cool skill
Ive been a warrior since lvl 15 lvl 62 now . Arc of might is not that good. You can do 4 of the over head chargd attacks and have some stam left. Each one will do 120% hp dmg to a dragoons heart. Aka 4 hp bars off with one knockdown. While arc of might will take 2-3 bars and be laid on the floor by the exact time the dragon stands up.
My arch of might does more than 3 hp bar but If I miss the first hit of arc of might I do less damage. I've killed a drake really quick with arc of might.
@MarineCARMINE the main problem is that the charge up time is the same as the time it takes the drakes ro stand up plus the movement of the drake arms can block the heart. So if you miss the move there is a big loss in dps and you'll have to wait for your stamina to recover. Sometimes the pawns don't get to you and you lose Dps. So I rather not use arc of might. I have a little video of me killing a drake and in the video you can see how a miss wirh arc of might is a hindrance.
this is my favorite class, but unfortunately it feels so sluggish. The attack speed could be a bit better. In some situations the slow speed drives you crazy
I just started using warrior after using fighter, archer and thief...felt really slow at first but guess I just got used to the speed execution of the thief...but this seems fun, gonna get that arc of might
Warrior in DD2 make a lot more sense if you have played both DDDA and DDON. DDON Warrior is literally a perfect upgrade of DDDA one. Windstorm Slash, Inspirit and Roar in particular was top tier skills. They all allow you to withstand the most powerful boss AOE attack, and if you have the right gear, nearly completely cancel any damage. It is not rare to see in DDON raids, other players had to follow boss mechanic while Warrior just stand under and Windstorm Slash them to oblivion lol. Guess devs team had to nerf in DD2 them because they were too OP.
Lunge is by far my favorite skill. ALSO when mounting, the D Strike has an alternate attack. Try it out sometime. Arc Of Might on dragon hearts with end game gear will 1 shot them.
In my opinion, Intrepidity isnt super useful on yourself since you have much better augments to take, however I find it VERY good on Pawns, especially ones that you hire. They will almost always be near max health when everyone else is around 65% or lower
I enjoyed warrior until I recruited a thief. She kept rope pulling when I was charging up my attacks so I’d just swing at nothing. Then I recruited an archer, hoping to gets some hits in… he kept dire shooting enemies away. This class is great if your pawns don’t ruin it.
Eh, according to you every class you've "reviewed" has been INSANE or BROKEN. The real truth about DD2, just like DD1, EVERY class is absolutely busted if you know how to play them. One thing remains true though... No matter what you'll have a mage in your party. Mages are low-key the most broken class because they are the only healer, buffer, and cleanse in the game. That makes them almost MANDATORY in parties.
I just mastered this class. Can confirm its by far and away the weakest damage delaer in the game. If youre looking for a challenge class - this is the one.
So I gotta ask.. did you skip over windstorm speeding up DPS wise on timing into a final hit? Most of the vid kinda just showed you ignoring that to me :c
I tried playing him today (i mainly play theif) i felt like a man but then i sucked hard so i ended up switching back to thief (i enjoy climbing enemies and pulling out their eyes)
Windstorm slash could be a good idea if you're leaning into a weapon's element and exploiting a monster's weakness to said element, reminds me of Monster Hunter's element GS where there's a similar concept.
I had my pawn as warrior early on and most fights she wouldn't even hit anything but bosses because everything died before she could swing.. when she would lunge and pin things to the wall it was great for me to finish them off though. The only vocation i have not tried, i might have to try it now.
i think the only real issue with warrior is it uses stuff that's less obvious. Every other dps job is kind of braindead once you understand game mechanics though it's just as good, knocks almost everything down in a couple hits and then tends to just one shot once down. The difference the super heavy armor makes in damage taken is pretty impressive too
Sorceror is op. I forget the name of the skill now because I just got it last night, but it puts a tag on the enemy. Then you shoot it with your basic attack untill it explodes. Took 2 whole health bars from an orgre in 2 uses.
Nothing is more powerful than a Sorcerer Pawn using Augural Flare and maining a Mystic Spearhand or Thief with super fast attacks… you don’t delete a couple health bars… you delete bosses.
I almost quit the game with warrior, it’s so slow, and not fun, thank god for mystic spear. I explore every road and cave and do all quests. Warrior makes everything like a chore
Here’s a question. It seems like cinderspine has the highest damage out of all warrior weapons due to the additional magic damage. Would an elemental boon make a non elemental weapon deal more damage though?
Is there a mod that makes monsters way way stronger? Even dragons can be 5 shot with sorcerer mega spells. I want a game where I need to use potions strategically and actually use all the wake up potions and stuff.
im still early in the game (just got to the city, vermuth or something and am just useing the spiny slash (dont remember the name) for small mobs and the heavenwords slash for big mobs and standung under the bosses legs so it doesnt hit me often , seems to be doing well xD as the only monster that posed a problem so far was the golem which was immune to most of my high dmg hits
As far as I saw best and I mean best dps and maybe highest dmg is a thief with a skill that basically makes u imune to anything 😅😅. Just to say that Thief can 1 shoot any target by lvl 20 well it can by lvl 1 but in lvl 25 u can 1 shoot cyclops and stuff.
I really would've loved to play as a Warrior but since I also have to get tokens, treasures and unlock doors from the other side, I'm forced to play Warfarer to be able to fly around. Thus, playing a Greatweapon with such class feels underwhelming. However, when I'll be done collecting, maybe in future New Game plusses, I'll surely try to be one myself accompanied by a Sorcerer (because, Flare...)
brah sorcerers malestorm might be the highest damage and you can spam that shit bc the spell last until u can fully cast another malestorm so you can keep castime tornado till they die without stopping
Both are, really depends, I was sold on the spearhand for about 35 hours, but now I can't stop playing warrior, really depends on whether you like long high dps attacks of faster
i made the mistake of starting with a thief and just wrecking people, so when i switched to anything it was inferior lol. Cant even get into mystic spearhand as im so used to dashing when i want the spearhand is bad for mobility
Spearhand has one of if not the best support skill in mirror bubble. Combine that with the stamina drain, stun bolt, and pick your two damage skills, your party is unkillable. I do prefer thiefs gameplay. But those are the two I've mastered so far. Thinking archer next, then warrior.

If you want to stay ranged, you can freeze with the technique above and use the charge shot the game gives you (Puncture Dart) for solid damage
This was the worst vocation in DD1. Glad to see it getting some love here
ya i was cringing to level it for the extra health and ended up maxing it, the counter move is amazing, and just wading into combat knocking everything to the ground is so meaty and satisfying. Thief and warrior my favs with MSH right after
1:38 - 1:42 totaly devistated that HP on the bird
i like it
Tbh razing sweep carried me until endgame, it’s a very solid skill ! But i agree with all your other takes !
DD2 Warrior makes me feel like Guts in a way no other game ever has lol
Warrior+Archer is best 👌 combo absolutely amazing.
That sounds awesome, what skills do you use for it? I was thinking the overhead slash, explosive arrow, and the whirlwind arrow.
warrior sorcerer and archer is an actually evil combo like knock down with warrior set up augural flare on the weak spot and spam it with arrows till it blows up
@sphynx669 rn I'm using manifold shot and heavenward sunder mainly because the only issue with warrior is not being able to hit flying targets like harpies or drakes but tbh you'd probably be better stocking up on explosive arrows and going ham.
No way we made nearly the same build for the warrior. holy lmao
acting like theres options lol
@@russmanYTlmao so true
"...throwing them off a cliff. That's one of my favorite past times." LOL
"I HIT HARD WITH BIG POINTY STABY MURDER STICK!" - A warrior, probably.
Everything is insane should be the name of this channel....
5:30 you're missing the timing, you can go much faster. its pretty insane (you dont lose stamina with you get the time right) but agreed there are better options. but its a cool skill
Razing Sweep is top tier for crowd clearing, definitely one of the best skills.
For augments.

Arc of might was really disappointing in this game. With just the description (ingame text and video) I knew i wasn't going to be using it.
this is my favorite class, but unfortunately it feels so sluggish.
Great guide, thank you.
You can also use heavenword ability to counter heavy hits from big bosses. Like a troll bringing his club down on top of you.
I enjoyed warrior until I recruited a thief. She kept rope pulling when I was charging up my attacks so I’d just swing at nothing. Then I recruited an archer, hoping to gets some hits in… he kept dire shooting enemies away. This class is great if your pawns don’t ruin it.
if you played greatsword in monster hunter then youll understand this vocational instantly
Fighting a drake as a warrior in this game is peak gaming
CANT STOP THE A TRAIN, warrior, probably
If you got buffed from camp food Arc of Might don't uses the bonus stamina received from the buff so have fun :)
Warrior: i am the strongest creature in the universe
One headless boi: hellooo sissy
Mage: I won’t let you get hit!
Warrior: Did I get hit?
Thief: What is getting hit?
Mystic Spear: Y-yeah… same… heh… I’m still useful, right?
My first Drake slaying is with Greatsword, super satisfying.
Windstorm has the vertical reach that mighty sweep doesn't have. I think it also reaches maximum velocity faster.
The Hevensward attack is very OP on bosses, I love hadukening bosses bro. Very high damage because it hits about 3 times of 1 attack.
Windstorm Slash has an ending attack unlike your normal swings but you have to keep up the rhythm.

Right? Everyone calling Windstorm bad never maximizes the speed or mention the charge hit that melts HP specially on downed monsters.
This gave me MH great sword vibes but I chose Spearhand in the end. Glad to see warrior is good I may run it for my second play through.
I tried playing him today (i mainly play theif) i felt like a man but then i sucked hard so i ended up switching back to thief (i enjoy climbing enemies and pulling out their eyes)
Thief is what’s insane
Arc of might has the same mechanic of true charge slash from the greatsword in monster hunter world.
A true warrior doesn't walk, they spam Ravening Lunge to traverse the map.
It's even better when you equip 8 skills.
i think the only real issue with warrior is it uses stuff that's less obvious. Every other dps job is kind of braindead
once you understand game mechanics though it's just as good, knocks almost everything down in a couple hits and then tends to just one shot once down.
Video starts at 8:50
I really miss the character actually wielding the greatswords with two hands… i hate how we grab it over the shoulder
the warrior is fun but got bored and change into mystic archer seems op as well
Archer or mystic=op!🎉
Windstorm is nuts on downed enemies. Just have to get the rhytm down.
Great video but I think you're using windstorm wrong, it's an extremely powerful skill it deletes bosses.
Saurians run when they see me 😂
Warrior is S+ Tier fun. Magick Archer is S+ Tier chill power
Here’s a question. It seems like cinderspine has the highest damage out of all warrior weapons due to the additional magic damage. Would an elemental boon make a non elemental weapon deal more damage though?
Depending on the boon and what enemies you're fighting, maybe.
@@VermillionDraco I’ve had trouble finding online how much damage a boon actually adds to your weapon and whether it scales off your mages weapon.
Getting the ability to do extra damage on hitting enemies vital spots makes your character broken only issue is struggling to lvl 8 archer
What in the Monster Hunter Greatsword, is this perfection?
Is there a mod that makes monsters way way stronger? Even dragons can be 5 shot with sorcerer mega spells. I want a game where I need to use potions strategically and actually use all the wake up potions and stuff.
im still early in the game (just got to the city, vermuth or something and am just useing the spiny slash (dont remember the name) for small mobs and the heavenwords slash for big mobs and standung under the bosses legs so it doesnt hit me often , seems to be doing well xD as the only monster that posed a problem so far was the golem which was immune to most of my high dmg hits
I knocked a griffin into the water earlier.
Do you even need fighter pawns anymore? Or is a beef boy warrior enough?
My main Pawn is Warrior. Sometimes i play him. He is awesome.
Wind sweep gives you some range it has a windblast that damages but it's range is not that good.
best strategy in killing dragons = smash it 'til it stops moving
Should I use swords hammers or Morningstar maces for the warrior?
Whatever you have that does the most damage lol.
In the questline for the ultimate skill i can't progress any further... The cyclops didn't spawn ... What can I do?
I really would've loved to play as a Warrior but since I also have to get tokens, treasures and unlock doors from the other side, I'm forced to play Warfarer to be able to fly around.
Thus, playing a Greatweapon with such class feels underwhelming. However, when I'll be done collecting, maybe in future New Game plusses, I'll surely try to be one myself accompanied by a Sorcerer (because, Flare...)
brah sorcerers malestorm might be the highest damage and you can spam that shit bc the spell last until u can fully cast another malestorm so you can keep castime tornado till they die without stopping
martyrs shot.
Hey, guys, I'm thinking between mystic spearhand and warrior, who is more fun to play in your opinion?
Both are, really depends, I was sold on the spearhand for about 35 hours, but now I can't stop playing warrior, really depends on whether you like long high dps attacks of faster
Heavenward Sunder? all I see SHORYUKEN lmao
i made the mistake of starting with a thief and just wrecking people, so when i switched to anything it was inferior lol. Cant even get into mystic spearhand as im so used to dashing when i want the spearhand is bad for mobility
What are you babling about? Spearhand has 3 different dashes of the top of my head. Bad for mobility he says😂
You need to get got good with the electric attack, it makes you teleport to enemies and also slow them like a freeze spell, just always hold your r1
Spearhand has one of if not the best support skill in mirror bubble. Combine that with the stamina drain, stun bolt, and pick your two damage skills, your party is unkillable. I do prefer thiefs gameplay. But those are the two I've mastered so far. Thinking archer next, then warrior.
Hmmm, on bosses Warrior is good .... but in generall - it is a weakest Mele character.
Than comes the Thief and... everythings are nothing. Sad but true
