Man, I loved 'two seven' back the day, then I marched cadets And my uniform number was - 27! my first child was born on the 27th and to this day 27 still remains one of my favourites of all time!

I remember all the raggin about our shoddy equipment. I think we didn't put our hearts into this show as much as we could have. But we absolutely did more with less.

Shoddy equipment? New uniforms and new drums, right?

82 was the last of the truly great lancers corps. sadly the loss of Jim wedge and george zingali finally caught up to the corps.

Lynn, MA refers to where the competition was held ( Manning Bowl), and Revere is where the corps was sponsored.

So Drum Corps International lost the Bridgmen and the 27th Lancers after the '85 season?

Bridgemen had a show in 85, went inactive in 86 and came back for one more year in 87

Why does it say Lynn, Massachusetts iso Revere?

Good show, but I'm not a fan of the mid-80s curve-linear drill design. (Please understand...I was a Texas HS band director at the time, and was tasked with writing such drills....I still didn't like it, but it was the trend of the day.). And the guard work just wasn't the same as around 1980.
This was always a low budget corps. I suppose their demise was inevitable. A shame really....they were always one of my favorites. Saw them live in Birmingham and I was totally enthralled with the overall show...especially the guard work.

Don't know what happened to the Lancers. This drill and guardwork are nowhere near the quality of 1981.
