The display stand is at the very end of the movie. Those are the gargoyles that Batman shot his weapon at and it attached to Joker’s leg which made him get pulled off the ladder and fall to his death.
I know I am late saying this, but it is also reminiscent of a lot of the batman comics where he is standing on a ledge of a building with stone gargoyles or standing on top of a stone gargoyle
Obi-Wan Kenobi I was just wondering besides having the high ground what does it take to learn the ways of the force the power that gives the Jedi it’s noble strength and what skills are necessary for mastering use of the lightsaber

This is a beautiful set. The 1989 Batmobile is by far my favorite design. I would love to have this set. It's worth the $250 price tag. I do not have $250 to spare.
Lego has been a staple of my childhood and young adult life. This set has the distinction of being the first time I had to use a brick separator frequently throughout the build, as there are so many pieces it's easy to make mistakes once in a while. I loved building this, to call the building techniques unorthodoxed would be an understatement.
@@mojosodope45 I've watched it once. I don't think it's fair to say "how could anybody not know that". To me it wasn't intuitively obvious that it was supposed to be the ledge of the building.
I bought this set about a year ago on a whim. Man, my best lego purchase to date. The build was so fun and straightforward. And the design is immaculate. There is no such thing as a perfect set, but this is the closest I’ve seen so far. Absolutely worth the price, and if I could build it for the first time again, I would. P.S. glad I’m not the only one with the rear afterburner falling apart. 😂
WOOOOW! This Batmobile is incredible! 10/10!!!!!! 😃😃😃 LEGO has not had such gloomy Gothic Batman sets for a long time! It reminds me of the original LEGO Batman series from 2006... Heh... Do you remember them too?
I still have the 2006 Batmobile. It was the last Lego set I got until the Lego Ideas Ecto 1 came out, and now I've been getting a few sets here or there. As Ryan mentioned in the video, having a Batmobile on a shelf uncovered gets covered in dust very easily. lol
I just scored this set on a great deal on FB market, still in the box, all packs unopened... and I am sooo stoked to build it. The 1989 Batmobile is still my favorite after all these years and it looks like LEGO truly did it justice.
2:50 “it’s not a main part of the movie” well you are right, but at the very end of the movie where the joker dies, those statues have something to do with it😉
I'm 37years old ....actually 38 in 30 minutes I would love this as my birthday gift to build with my two boys in our new house and display with the rest of my batmobiles ! Its awesome 😍
I got this on my birthday. Took me 6 days to build it. It’s incredible. The only real gripe I have is... where do I put it? I have no shelf space! xD Seriously, the build was a lot of fun, not too hard, even for me, who only recently got back into LEGO after many years. The model and the figures look amazing, the features are also great. I didn’t have any problems with pieces falling off, so, it’s also incredibly stabile for such a massive and long set. Even if this hadn’t been a present I would have found the price tag worth it. If you wait for a sale there will be little argument against it. If you’re a fan of Batman and particularly this movie, you will love this. Anyhow. Have a nice day and a happy holidays!
the white stickers on the headlight pieces is for light to bounce off more, giving the headlights a more illuminated look. without the white there, the light would be bouncing off black, or in other words it WOULDNT be bouncing off cause the black would just absorb all the light and give the translucent pieces a dingy look.
At 9:29 at the bottom near the exhaust or whatever it is, I noticed the little circular vent, and I thought it was a new piece at first. Turns out it was actually a small exhaust piece with a grapple piece on top. Genius!
The figure display is the ledge at the climax of the film where the joker is killed and Batman and Vicki Vale hang off the building. The gargoyle is literally the thing that causes the joker to die
This will be my first UCS. Bought the 1989 Batmobile and Age of Ultron Hulkbuster sets for Black Friday weekend. Can't wait to put them in my display case!
The mini figures are of the last scene when they're fighting in the abandoned church. The gargoyles on the side are what batman and Vicky Vale hang onto when Joke falls off.
I’m a newby to Legos. I bought this and while it was very rewarding to build, I had to reach out to Lego for 2 missing parts. I can’t imagine completing this in 8 hours. Took me weeks of about a couple hours a day and waiting for Lego to mail me the missing parts. Some slightly annoying things to me are the bat wings in the back (pieces don’t lay flat), the odd gear shifter in the cockpit that has a hollow tube (looks unfinished), and the front end needs to look more seamless. The base is not well made. Other than, I promise it’s pretty darn cool. 😁
This. Is. Awesome. This was my 1st non Star Wars LEGO sets & is my 2nd favorite LEGO set of all time. (The UCS Star Destroyer gets the #1 spot in my book. Yes, even over the coveted Millennium Falcon, lol. To each their own, and the Star Destroyer & AT-AT were just absolutely amazing to me as a kid so.) I plan on getting the Batwing & Tumbler too!
Every time I touch anything on this set it falls apart. I had to use leglue on most of the cockpit to keep it from falling apart. The more you try to fix it the more it comes apart until you're rebuilding the entire thing. The wings on the back also love to come off. And once again, the more you fiddle with them the more things start falling off. If you never plan to touch it after it's built it's like a 10/10. If you actually want to interact with it, it's like a 3/10 to me.
Recently picked this model up and noticed on page 381 when you build the center turbine using the part 6236464 which consists of 3 circular pieces, 2 of which have an extra lip around the outside, that only the 2 lip pieces are used and the third is simply ignored. Do you remember encountering this when you put the turbine together MandRproductions ? Including the third 'lip-less' piece made the overall shape slightly longer than it looks in the picture so I understand why its not used but I've never encountered this before in a set where a shape that looks integral was passed over. I thought this was very odd to disregard this piece like that, especially since it doesn't look like the usual "extra piece" you'll get with every step containing multiples of smaller 1x1 bricks. Just thought I'd bring that up to hear your thoughts. Love this set. It's truly a masterpiece
The ledge is where joker falls off those are the little gargoyles that Batman uses his grappling hook on The scene in the tower is what that ledge character stand is about
Yeah that would be awesome if the Jack Nicholson joker mini figure has a gun with a super long barrel or you can make a moc version of it if you want to
The stand is two gargoyle statues on a ledge. It's one of those typical rooftop edges that Batman perches on, ever vigilant and on the prowl. Very gothic, very Gotham.
I dont know if you've seen the 1989 Batman movie yet, but at the end (no spoilers, dont worry) there is a scene on a bell tower with gargoyles and stuff so that's why the display stand is that way
Just to give you some insight, the stand for the minifigs depicts the edge of the bell tower that the final fight of the movie takes place. Joker tries to escape via helicopter but Batman shoots his grappling hook onto his foot and attaches it to a gargoyle
I don't know how you can turn it over like that and it doesn't fall apart. LOL as I am typing this I hear you say the same. My biggest issue with the build is the front part of the rear fenders. What a PITA.
Had to watch because we were have problem with a lot of friction on the wheels when rolling it on the table. Did you notice that with yours? The wheels rub on the fenders. The bionicle like pieces on the back spinning thing are holding on good for us though. The little 1x1 round tile piece needs to be level to keep it from popping off
The display stand actually stems from the end of the movie, where Batman and Vicki are hanging off the side of the cathedral and Joker is on top looking down on them.

I think the reason they added white stickers on the back of the yellow bricks is to make the Color pop more because without it there would be black and the yellow would be ugly. I use this technique a lot with my builds only with bricks instead of stickers.
The one thing that did disappoint me a little bit were the heads for Batman and Vicki: they aren't unique. I didn't have issues with the afterburner when I built and "played" with it but I understand your point of view. Also if they intended to use the Cathedral's belfry, they have the wrong dress for Vicki but that's nitpicking: that's the dress she has when we see the car for the first time. It's $300 in Canada but even at this price, the ratio is way, WAY under compared most sets including UCS. Considering license, theme, minifigs, pieces and scale (and the book, packaging, etc.), this possibly sets a new standard for value not only for DC Super Heroes sets but LEGO in general.
