First time on your channel, but I'm off to wishlist the game because you're "one of us" haha! Gotta support fellow indie devs wherever I can. Best of luck with the launch!
@@BBGDevAlso, multiplayer is so much more fun :-) I've made several multiplayer games and I doubt I'll make a single player game again. What makes my games simpler in terms of networking is tile based movement (smoothed on clients) and not using the physics engine.
I am indeed using Godot HLMP. I've found the spawner and synchronizer nodes extremely easy to deal with, and the networking performace has been great. The only difficulty that might come up is getting things connected with Steam, but that's a bridge I have yet to cross.
The way I did this is actually using a shader found on Godot Shaders. It's a super nice effect that could be used for all sorts of things. I applied this shader to a colorrect, and I just scale that color rect to the distance between the player and the mouse cursor. You can find that shader here: godotshaders.com/shader/energy-beams/
You've made huge progress since the devlog #0
Oh hi trupen
Wishlist added! 😁 Enjoying watching your progress on this one, keep up the good work.
Pretty cool! Just found this channel, Will be watching the previous starground videos
Sounds like a cool game! Is there things you don't show on video? If yes, where can I find it?
You can always check out more content on Twitch!
@@BBGDev You have a twitch? I don't see the link, can you post here?

Quickest wishlist I've ever done 😅
Here to support another indie dev! Congrats on getting your game on steam, I'll be sure to drop by and wishlist it!
Done.
I never seen this game, but I’m interested by the first minute of this video.
Wishlisted.
Wishlisted, game looks like it will be fun to play :-)
Please tone down the wind effect on trees it looks silly
I will never understand why one would willingly go through the pain of making a multiplayer game.
bc its cool
It does kind of suck, but at the same time it's pretty rewarding to actually be able to tell myself "I can make multiplayer games."

What are you using for multiplayer? Is it just Godot built in multiplayer or is it something else?

hey how did you create this gun firing effect? How did you make it dynamically increase and decrease the distance from the object?
