I did carnivore diet for 6 months. I felt great. I went from that to ketovore. All I ate was. Bacon, eggs, sausage, steak, beef. I ate till I got full. If you start getting headaches etc increase fat intake. Your body will start using fat for energy bc you’re not taking in carbs. Really like once a day. And stayed full till the next day. Every person is different. I had lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks. Which was probably mostly water weight. I felt great. Slept better, inflammation was like gone. Total loss was 45 pounds. I noticed more mental clarity and I could go longer in the gym. Short term I’d say carnivore is great. Not sure on long term. Like cheese and stuff. Don’t get the preshredded cheese. Get like the block cheese and shred yourself. Look at ingredients and compare those two. Kerrygold Butter or beef tallow to cook with. Now i integrate like cream cheese and other zero carb or really low carb stuff. I could go on and on about it. Carnivore definitely worth a try even for a month or two.

That's what I was thinking as well - increase fat and sodium/electrolytes, that seemed to do the trick when we did keto last. 15 pounds in 2 weeks is fantastic, especially when you compare to other "diets". Good point about shredding our own cheese! That's the plan though to give this a shot, I don't think it'll be too bad!
we lost power 12 hrs in that storm. We ordered a 2000 v Jackery and should be here before the next storm. We can plug in our tea kettle, oil heater, etc…have you looked into a portable electric generator for heat?

Good for you guys. You will be amazed at the unexpected health benefits. I had really bad dermatitis on my hands for 20+ years. The doctor's solution was a steroid cream for the flareups, but no "cure". I started a Keto diet, and within 30 days the dermatitis disappeared. And in 18 months has not returned. I believe the dermatitis was caused by inflammation in my body due to consuming oar meal. Oatmeal is not the "health food" that we've been told all these years. The studies that made the claims about all the benefits of eating oatmeal were faulty, and financed by the oatmeal industry. Most of the government's food pyramid is a lie. RFK Jr. will be righting that ship. Keto is a more balanced, sustainable diet in my opinion than strictly carnivore. And with any "diet", you need an occasional cheat. I still have my ice cream about once a month. But I choose it carefully based on the ingredients. Read the labels for anything you consume. They put sugar, in one form or another, and highly inflammatory seed oil, in almost all processed food.
Artificial sweeteners can make you crave sweet. I use seltzer waters they don’t affect me and the flavors give me a chance of pace. You have to try different things and see what works for you Body not everybody is the same. The proper human diet formats talk about N 🟰 one. You at the N and you are the ongoing experiment. I’m working on my N 🟰 one me😊.

I've been doing carnivore plus fasting for close to 7 years. The benefits are numerous.
