Part of me hoped that LV going to the JPG route with guest designer taken over the CD role every collection, but it's impossible because the massive sales target they want to gain, so Pharrel appointment is such a save move for all the money involve. The concept you explained in the video for the LV runaway is actually make sense and make me appreciate the collection more! Thank you.
Yes so the Kendrick show was designed without Virgil but the team kept his creative direction when designing it. This was the first collection without his creative vision. And yea totally agree with you about the guest designer thing… would be a lot more interesting, I think I would even be more inclined to see Pharrell as a guest CD and then having another creative the next season… but logistically that would probably be a nightmare & it could potentially water down the brand if it doesn’t maintain a singular vision
