Before this show, Viserys was regarded by book fans as just a footnote king whose death was followed by war. But Paddy managed to make him quite possibly the most remarkable Targaryen of them all 😊

Just to point out. King Viserys’s entry is one of the most well set and powerful scene in television in recent memory. It isn’t a battle, it isn’t a grand speach, it isn’t a rousing victory.
It’s a sick old man slowly dying as crosses a room. And it is heart wrenchingly powerful. You gotta hand it to Paddy and the production time. Smith adding in the Daemon helping his brother part. It all comes together so perfectly.
Edit: Vaemond was entirely right until Rhaenys agreed to the betrothal. Sure Luc isn’t Velaryon, but he’s now betrothed to Rhaena who is. So luc’s children will have Velaryon blood, thus Vaemond’s concern his blood will die out is moot.

If Viserys had bothered to pay close attention to his second family as the boys were growing up, as well as how Rhaenyra and her sons connected to them, he wouldn't have had to beg for them to get along now.

Rhaenys would have stood on her own but knowing fully well that with Viserys on the throne, his daughter would win the petition. Her alligence shifted and rightly so. That was a smart move.

When Daemon Targaryen, carrying Dark Sister, dares you to call his stepsons bastards, the intelligent response would be to pretend not to hear and accept King Viserys' decision and get the heck out of there before Daemon decides to get proactive. Instead, Vaemond not only accepts Daemon's dare and calls his stepsons "bastards" (shouts it), he yells out that Daemon's wife is a whore. Folks, it was Death By Stupidity. One wonders where on earth Corlys Velaryon got such a stupid relative.

so while yes in show they are bastards i dont get how fans agree that its dirty to lie to people about it. Laenor may not be the bio dad but still accepted them all. he never showed disapproval and was content with them claiming driftmark after him. even corlys and his wife know the truth but accept them taking the driftmark throne. the only people being lied to were the ones who are essentially pushing to put her and her kids heads on spikes.
Laenor only accepted the kids at first because Rhaenyra had lied to him and told them they were his. When he found out the truth (after Cole got Strong to basically admit that he was the father), Laenor wanted to leave Rhaenyra. That is why she ordered him to stay with her.
@@Rocket1377 tf? they had an agreement and even talked about how he couldnt get it up for her. him leaving was to avoid the accusations as stong fucked up in the yard. where did you get she lied to him? even before they were married they discussed sleeping with other people and just being married as a front for court. he even mentions it in letters to his sister which daemon remarks on when joffrey is born.

I don’t understand how anyone in their right minds can hate on Allison, she’s the most noble out everyone of the main cast. The girl literally did everything she was supposed to do while cheaters and schemers threatened what was rightfully hers. The blacks are the real villains.
I don't think any side is the real villain, also you just know when the war comes there's gonna be atrocities committed by both sides.

@champcpr: Allison did not have rights to anything. Viserys named Rhaenyra his heir and never changed his mind. Allison was so self-righteous and hypocritical when she embraced all she stated she was against, but stood behind religion. She married her daughter and son, she turned her children against Rhanerya’s children. She initiated treason when she did so, and committed actual treason when she cut Rhanerya. She was going to cut the eye from a child! Her son lost an eye, but she did not bother to find out the entire story. Her son was strangling and threatened to kill his own nephew. Lastly, Allison ignored Aegon’s atrocities and knew he was unfit to take the throne. So, yes, people dislike Allison.
