    I got it in 1984. I think I was the only one. I struggled because I didn’t learn fast, but I did my best every day, and kept my nose in the study guide. I wasn’t ready for it, but made SSgt in less than 3 years. I then got out and got my nursing degree. I couldn’t get back into the service due to bad hearing, but that changed with 9/11. I made LTC in the Army. A study should be done to see if Honor Grads excel in their careers (I’m curious). The gist of what I’m trying to say is, if you’re smart, and do the right thing every day you will do well!

    I just joined ANG at 41, no prior service. Is there different passing standards for pt test at bmt? I see the tables online, but someone told me those are for your regular pt tests AFTER you're out of bmt and in unit. I want to get honor grad but i dont know if i can run the kids times haha. My best 1.5 mile at 4500 feet elevation is 13:10, pushing probably about 85 percent.

      @@D_Snapp_Garage USAF has the same standards for bmt and operational, with your run time you will be able to score above 90% as long as you max out your score on the other events. You have an excellent run time for your age so i’m sure you’ll be able to achieve your goal.

    What were the pt standards?

    • @flipshot2629
      @flipshot2629  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it depends on the age group, with me my standards are 27p-ups, 40 s-ups, 14min 1.5mile run, that will total around 70%, the younger ones will have a slightly higher standards but not much at all.
