This was in my opinion some of the most brilliant acting in the entire show.
I watched this as a kid and this moment really made me tear up. I love Cara, she was amazing. The whole Mord Sith thing was such a dope idea, I loved it so much. My favorite show of all time. Watched it at least 6 times, both seasons. I wish it was more popular so it never ended.
The books are amazing too, highly recommend
Great comment! The only way you could "continue" the show is to embody it in your on life, so to speak. Take your on journey, become yourself a hero, do not settle for a relasionship based on lust and conviency. Be a beacon of light that banish the darkness and demolish evil.
We are all posses great power and wisdom within us, but there are very few who are willing to make the sacrifices to discover and use their inner resources. Unfortunately i am not of those few... But maybe you are! 🙂

In the beginning you think Cara's father betrayed her but in the end she found out she betrayed him, great plot twist.
I imagined how Cara must have felt when she found the truth out

The one thing that bugs me about this scene...when Kahlan confesses people it weakens her, even if only for a moment or two, but here she confesses a mord sith and doesnt even bat an eyelash before preparing to confess another. I understand she's mother confessor and grows stronger as the story progresses, but I still think a little waver, or stumble, or the slightest wince...something to show she was physically affected by the use of her powers wouldn't have hurt. 😖

@@zedmak Kahlan is not an ordinary Mother Confessor. However,even in the book said that Kahlan can only perform her power once and she need to rest for 2 hours before she can perform another.
She didn't confess cara.. a confessors touch is deadly to the mord sth. She refused to confess cara
cuts, maybe.
but one important thing is There's an episode where confesssor' touch had no effect on mord sith (when Richard was captured).
There's also an episode where Rahl says a confessor's touch is deadly with mord sith. It did kill Cara's friend in minutes (when Carah was captured). The same with what just happened to Carah's mother.
being not so critical, the series remains 101/100 to me 😅
There should be a season 3 they just left season 2 on a cliffhanger

So wait you don’t get confessed just by a touch ? So why is everyone so worried about a make out session with the seeker and the confessor
confessors magic is always under the surface. if a confessor loses control or let's go in a moment of pleasure and ecstasy it'll confess the person that she's with.

@@francisindinibotwey840 It's something she has to hold onto at all times. When she confesses someone she doesn't call forth the magic, she simply stops holding it back. Her entire life is an exercise in controlling it. That's why she can't be with someone romantically, because the very act necessitates a loss of that control.

Confessors 101. Confessors have a kernel of power that contains both additive and subtractive magic however the subtractive half is often locked away. The power of the confessor is constantly pushing to be released like a rushing rushing river the only thing keeping the power at bay is the confessor's constant concentration. Being too relaxed, high, or in the throws of passion will cause a confessor to lose that concentration and release the power. Heck it might be possible to make a confessor laugh so hard she loses control of her power. Once the power is released anyone touching the confessor or touching any one touching the confessor will be hit by the power. Once hit with the power additive magic combines with the emotion of love in the target growing it until love for the confessor grows to eclipse the target's entire identity losing all will but the will to serve the confessor. once confessed even the death of the confessor will not free you. The domination is near absolute but there is a way to lessen the effects and that is to allow a wizard to transfigure you into an animal. This procedure is rare as most confession victims are guilty criminals on death row so they are just executed but if you are innocent transforming into an animal will allow you to regain a portion of your identity there will be still a strong loyalty and love for the confessor but you would have your free will back. If you wish to protect your self from confession there are exactly 2 ways one is falling truly and deeply in love with a confessor knowing she is a confessor and without the knowledge that doing so would protect you from her. The second is to put the boxes of ordin into play which will sheild you from the power of confession the magic of the sword of truth and the effects of the chainfire spell. if you are in a group and someone from your party was confessed and you are worried it will happen to you don't fret all confessors usually have a period of recharge before they can use their power again. The shorter this period the stronger the confession most confessors have a recharge period of a day to a week Kahlan the mother confessor has a recharge period of two hours and can confess so strong that she can order someone to die and they will drop dead on the spot. Warning male confessors and confessors who are in the con darr do not have this recharge period. Speaking of the con darr confessors can envok this power to avenge someone they loved it is also called the blood rage. The blood rage permanently release the subtractive half of a confessors power changing the mechanism of that confessor's confessions for the foreseeable future however the result is still the same. Once the blood rage is in full effect the confessor will lose all drawbacks to her power she will be able to confess people in line of sight to her and she can confess multiple people in rapid succession with no need for a recharge the blood rage will grant the confessor the power to cast blue subtractive bolts of judgment that will kill on contract. Once the power of the con darr is allowed to cool it can be willingly called on again but only on behalf of the one the confessor first awakened the power for assuming they are still alive.
