To be clear, it wasn't to solve world hunger, it was to feed those in more extreme situations so they didnt die from starvation, which is slightly different from ending world hunger, and the reason so many people were suspicious of the 6 billion dollar figure. That said, the one who started the misconception was Musk, who double down when told that solving the world hunger wasn't the point of said plan, and ''called them out'' over changing the objective when he ''asked for receipts''. At best, Musk misunderstood what was going on, and decided to double down on his ignorance instead of being corrected. At worst, he intentionally started a fight with them to fill his own ego more and take down even more trust in the UN.

The Swedish unions have been fighting Tesla since October 2023. Since strikes are so rare because of our system, they have like $300 million in strike funds. They've also gotten unions in Denmark and Norway to join in blocking Tesla cars coming into their ports. Their offices aren't getting cleaned, their garbage isn't being collected, they won't get their mail delivered and so on. Glad to see the rest of the world join in now.

Our supermarkets are a pretty clear indicator of public anger toward the Trump regime. Whenever I do my grocery shopping, I see people examining the labels on everything they buy, and returning US-made products to the shelf. There are racks upon racks of untouched US produce at Sobeys, while the local stuff flies out the door.

You're talking USA, but in Europe Tesla sales are falling 60-70% in most of the major countries due to brand damage. In China Tesla just can't compete with Chinese EV brands.

I’ve been doing a one-man protest outside the Tesla dealership in Pasadena California. It really is effective. You don’t have to wait on dozens or hundreds to join you. Just make a sign stand outside a Tesla dealership and you will make an impact.
Make sure you get permits and do it legally because the rat will without a doubt get you arrested if your protests are working.

Adam noticed the surge of EV purchases were actually going to hurt the environment because people were buying Teslas as secondary vehicles, thus creating waste both in the abandonment of still-working gas vehicles and in the production of EVs (that use fossil fuels in their production).
The total waste resulting from the purchase of a redundant EV is worse than if that same person had just kept their old gas-guzzler

As someone with social anxiety who participated in a three person protest and had to directly confront an aggressive pedestrian who was opposed to our protest, even just a few other people can help you feel brave.

Just wanted to say your interview with Dr. Dana Fisher inspired me to go to a local 50501 protest and it was great. If you feel stuck like you can't do anything, try stopping by your local protest if you can. I planned to only stay for a bit but stayed for hours and wished I came sooner. It's nice hearing speakers talk about their stories and discuss what we can do. It's nice seeing so many people who care handing out free snacks and helping a surprisingly diverse group of people. @ There are people disappearing without trial. To them and their loved ones this is very much a nightmare. It is also a nightmare for all Americans since they are intimidating into not protesting, you know, just to me sure. It is also a nightmare for the whole world as Trump is threatening all world leaders into submission (or at least trying to). Which is a slippery slope with a country that is most heavily armed.

I don't like Elon Musk at all, but some of the tesla "protests" are incredibly cringe. If you set a random cybertruck on fire, you are not affecting him in any way, you are just crashing out, and you are endangering the local community (because fires can spread) just to inconvenience a random truck driver.

It’s important to note, a relatively small portion of Elon’s net worth comes from Tesla since he actually owns less than 10% of the company. SpaceX on the other hand is where majority of his “spending money” comes from, so keep going after Tesla but we need to bring SpaceX down too.
